Woks Cuisine in East Dunbartonshire

We’ve recently moved to the area and I think this will be our regular Chinese! The meat on the ribs was so tender, unlike any I’ve had from a Chinese takeaway before. And I got the Kung Po Crispy Shredded Beef and the beef was so crispy in a way that you usually only get when dining in a Chinese restaurant. Really impressed and very reasonably priced. Will definitely be back!

Lovely staff and delicious food!

Woks has always been one of our favourite takeaways. We ordered on Friday night on the website. 2 mixed startes for 2, sweet and sour chicken Cantonese style, chicken and cashew nuts, and chicken satay. The delivery estimate was an hour. The food arrived about 20 minutes later, which was great. Shame the delivery driver was so grumpy as he said we had no house number and that our bins (which were out) had the wrong number on them. Firstly, we do have a house number at the front door (which wasn't where he appeared with our food) and secondly, our bins obviously have the correct house number on them. We have had many mixed starters from woks over the years. This time all the nice parts seemed to have been halfed in amount i.e. one chicken wing, one satay skewer, two very small pieces of prawn toast and dozens of mini spring rolls. The sweet and sour was perfect. Initially, we thought the other 2 dishes had been sent in error as they were both almost black in colour (the colour of dark soy sauce). The satay could have been almost anything with a bit of spice in it dont think there was any peanut butter or curry sauce in it). My wife couldn't eat her chicken with cashews (not that there were many) most of it went in the bin. Very disappointed!

Food had a little heat to it so was edible. The curry sauce tasted out a date, not a normal Chinese curry sauce. Last order from this place.

First & last time I order from here unfortunately. 2 and 1/2 hour wait for food. Lied to on the phone. 1 star for the food being hot but honestly wasn't that great.

Ordered a big takeaway (13 of us) last night and everything was delicious. Never disappoints.

A bit ironic its cash only and I was short changed... *Food was good. Check your change in the shop. Sneaky!! Visited Monday 20/7/20. As if 2020 couldn't get any worse lol!

Ordered chicken with ham fried rice. When I got home I found that they had put gravy over it (which I didn't ask for) and the rice was a bit stodgy. Generally unappetising.

Just had a takeaway from this place and it was the best I’ve had in a long, long time. My family treated me for my 74th birthday as going out for a meal is too much for me. It was absolutely delicious. I would highly recommend it. Compliments to the chef and also the delivery man as it arrived promptly.

Right listen the food in here is fantastic,I recommend the curry sauce it's just different,lovely staff,prompt delivery,just what you need.

We’ve eaten from this place for years and never had a bad meal, ordered tonight got home and opened dishes to find food was terrible, looked bad, smelt bad and tasted completely bland. Only found out when we returned the food that it’s now under new management. Can 100% say we won’t be back.

Absolutely shocked at how bad this service is, i had ordered a family meal and they messed it up big time missing two dinners and charging us again for there mess up... never again

There is lots of different Chinese in the Kirkintilloch and Lenzie area but this is a clear winner for me

I'd never ordered from this place until I moved further into Kirky and it became my local, but in the last couple of years that I've been eating their food I've not had one bad order, and their customer service is very friendly. Great dishes at good prices. Wok's has become my favourite Chinese.
