Wing-A-Ding in Leeds

Gone massively down hill. Even worst now it's left Horsforth. Way too salty.

Horrible customer service, just cancelled our order with no warning after waiting over an hour. Avoid.

Don't get me wrong they did our order correct but from having before they striped the menu back I don't know if it was because the euros was on but ordered 2 portion of chips but might aswell of ordered 4 (just shows you how meny chips there was) also dry the burger for 9.50 with chips I get more full with macdonalds quarter pounder then the dubble I got

Foods good but it’s the second time we’ve ordered and there’s been missing items, this time 2 of the 6 the mains ordered were missing. Tried to call but the number doesn’t go through

Ordered for delivery and the attention to detail was criminal. Over half the items were missing key components (chicken & gravy with no gravy. Parmesan and garlic fries with no parmesan, garlic or sauce of any description). The chicken I did get was tasty but both times I have ordered this has happened now so I wouldn't recommend chancing it.

Really poor. We used to come in the summer time and it used to be delicious. Only thing that was nice out of our order was the sesame strips. Wings tasted undercooked but sauce was okay, my partner has a burger but said never again, curry chips and garlic chips are awful. A lot of money for it all and it was all put in the bin. Won’t be returning unfortunately

Wings are a firm favourite of my son, and he loved these with a buffalo sauce. I had salt and pepper wings and they were great, looking forward to our next visit.

First time trying wing-a-ding, the food was SO tasty and fresh. Staff were lovely, Frankie was especially friendly and helpful! The garlic parmesan fries were delish. Will definitely be coming back, highly recommend🔥

Used to be so much better, taken slaw off the honey sirrachi burger and replaced with crackers, changed chips from nice fresh crunchy ones to frozen soggy ones. Prices gone up but food gone downhill. Used to come every week don’t even think we will be back now. Must of changed owners or trying to save money cos completely different to what it used to be 👎

This is a hidden gem operating out of the cricket club. Just the tastiest food with generous portions and the freshest ingredients. So many great coatings and sauces. Brilliant for sweet and spice fans. Brilliant option if the usual takeaway standard like Chinese or Indian are getting a little bit boring.

Great little place out if the way bit are very busy at time so if u get there then.Well you will definitely be waiting fir a While as the do pick up and delivery so they can get busy at times did have to wait 20 odd mins.Staff are good and friendly Thx

Again we have ordered and no gravy ! So we are eating plain chicken ! What a let down !! And no answer on the phone to sort it out ! And what’s happened to tue burgers they have halved in size !

Was really disappointed with the food and service I had. Waited over an hour for the food first of all. The food then came and had a hair in it but I’d waited that long for the food and I was so hungry I took it out and got rid of the bit of food that had the hair on. Finally the food was extremely salty and just well below par. Won’t be going there again and don’t go when it’s busy because the food will take an age to come. Really disappointed.

I used to think my own wings were good..I'm now sat here ashamed of my cooking and thinking someone should make a film trilogy about this place called Lord of the Wings..

First time ordering tonight and Food was really nice. Only thing was I ordered a veggie burger and got the veggie loaded fries. But it was really good anyway.. will defo order again.

The food is very nice however the wait is just way too long. I called in advance and still had to wait 45 minutes. But again, the food is always spot on, they just need to be quicker

BEWARE I Don't live close so i ordered to eat in. I waiting an hour for the food when it arrived in wasn't ready to eat in it was all for take out, I hadn't eaten all day an have mental health problems so i had to leave before i became any more upset, really i wanted a refund but I left and when i got home all the food was cold no cheese on my burger just a really poor set up and now this experience has effected me i cant return beware of long wait and to be disappointed gone down hill

Ordered food for collection, as usual there was a delay, only this time it was snowing and had to wait 40 minutes longer than the time I was given. (not an exaggeration). It turned out they gave our order to someone else who took it home, then brought it back. They told us they would remake it, but clearly gave us the returned meal as one of the wings was missing and it was stone cold. I got in touch to complain and they offered to replace the one missing wing from my order, no apology. Completely complacent and arrogant and no care for the food they send out or the customer experience. Would never order again.

Great place, good wings, better fries

Tucked away in the heart of Horsforth. A fantastic little enterprise serving high quality fried chicken dishes. We opted for the burgers when we visited last week. The portions were bountiful, well presented and super tasty. Full marks. We hope you go from strength to strength 💪

Went with family and friends and the food is awesome. I love how you can have a beer in the club whilst the food is being prepared. My daughter has quite a severe allergies to sesame and nuts. They couldn’t have been more helpful and explained in detail how they would prepare our order separately. Absolute gem of a place!

Really good quality take away chicken tender tasty and would recommend the 5 strips of chicken just amazing

Pre ordered the buffalo, Korean and katsu wings online. Also ordered chips and Mac and cheese and it was all brilliant, especially the wings. Place was really busy so had to wait a few extra mins but staff were spot on. Can't wait to come back and try the rest of the menu.

Can’t fault the food at all, probably the best maple & sesame chicken you can find anywhere, but the service could have been better. I chose to collect and had to stand in a large puddle to knock on the window of the cricket club. I asked for maple & sesame wings and fries and went away to wait in my car as it was cold. On returning they hadn’t heard I asked for fries so I had to wait a bit longer and when I got home I found I was given chicken pieces not wings. Disappointing to not get what I wanted as I rarely go for a take away. The ordering and waiting experience could be improved if they asked the cricket club to adapt the serving window for orders in all seasons and had a covered waiting area with seating. I’m sure the various delivery drivers waiting to pick up orders would appreciate this too

Fully deserves its reputation as the best takeaway food in Leeds

I'm not 100% sure if it's Wing-a-ding or the Uber eats driver that needs a slap. We placed an order at 6:20pm, on a Friday and of course we fully understand its a "busy" night for the old takeaways. 2 hours down the line, wasting away, trying hard to maintain some optimism whilst chomping down on our own hands and feeling very much like an Ethiopian we get a life changing message from Wing-a-ding saying "order cancelled" well thank you so much, I'll just sit here and die slowly of starvation. Honestly, if you can't meet demand, close your door, lock it and go work at Tesco scanning cabbages. Yes, I'm HANGRY.

Came for Late lunch with a friend and my son, we wernt disappointed. We had a buffalo Chicking burger which has a blue cheese sauce and fried pickles, and a bbq burger that had bbq waffles. Parmesan fries were lovely too.all beautifully cooked and seasoned, chicken crispy on the outside and moist inside. You can also dine in at the pub and enjoy with a pint! I Felt like I was in the states again 🇺🇸 Will deffo be back! 🍗 ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

The best chicken spot in leeds, easily!

Having picked up food from here before I have to agree it is really good. However having ordered on Uber Eats this time for delivery in advance, the order was confirmed, a notification about it being prepared received followed by a notification about them being busier than expected. We were happy to wait but it was only when logging on to look at the status we then saw the order had been cancelled with no notification. Totally unacceptable. They shouldn't be accepting orders well in advance that they then don't fulfill without any apology.

Ordered Mac fries, maple chicken, Korean chicken, bbq loaded fries and like spicy fries. Bit disappointing, cheap fries not home made, I ended up putting bbq sauce on my bbq fries. For what it was I was disappointed the whole meal, my son described the Mac as out of a tin. Such a shame. All cooked hot etc just not to my taste maybe

Was told about wing a ding by a friend, so was Working right next to it and could smell the food so thought right got to try it, got maple strips and chips as a meal and they did not disappoint was very tasty and would go they again 👍

WOW! This is truly a hidden gem of leeds. The wings are amazing and so flavoursome and the burgers are cooked to perfection with an amazing crisp on the outside of the chicken. In particular, the honey siracha wings are delicious. This place is unbelievable. Wouldn't have wings from anywhere else.

Just want to say that was a great burger and wings i ate from you the other day ..good energy from the staff who sereved me too ..hope you guys keep the consistancy up it was real nice !

absolutely my favourite place to get food. hands down. the chicken here is incredible, as are the loaded fries. the service is also great, the lads are always friendly and happy to see you. it's nice that they remember regular guests as this often doesn't happen in other local places, i feel so valued as a customer here. i come here once a week or so on my day off work and the food never disappoints, especially the buffalo chicken strips. would recommend coming during a quieter period (weekday lunchtimes) to avoid a long wait/if your in a rush but honestly, the wait is worth it and you can always go for a drink in the sports club bar whilst your waiting!

Ordered here for the first time I’ve heard mixed reviews. The maple chicken was lovely 😊 The BBQ chicken strips were hard and the bbq loaded fries were over cooked and extremely hard. Maybe just an off day but not impressed.

A victim of the their own success. Everyone expects a delay at Wing A Ding and the chicken warrants their success and inevitable wait. However to receive missing menu items from your order and then wait a further 45 minutes whilst the rest of your order goes cold, with little apology or rectification, the desire to return dwindles.

Never got to taste to food unfortunately. Heard so much about this place and I’m obsessed with chicken wings. for me was wrong time and wrong place wrong venue. After been eyeballed by the of behind the shutter for 5 minutes no words were spoken but the shimutter slowly awkwardly dropped as I tried to place an order no food no words …thanks

Pretty tough to order. Went down there at 7pm Saturday, waited a while at the window and then told closed as they were doing a buffet. Took a note that they were open until 6pm Sunday according to the flyer so went to order 5pm Sunday instead. Lots of fiddling on the website on my phone. Went to the computer instead and found a message that they're closed until 5th April. I'm sure it's great if you can get to eat it!

First few times I went it was great, great price too. Last few times I’ve been even when arriving before the food was supposedly ‘ready’ the foods been cold and disgusting, fries were literally stone cold even though I was waiting 10 minutes at the window. Poor.

Finally visited this place after hearing about it for months. What a taste sensation. Excellent value for money and delicious as well. Very generous portions and friendly as can be with their service. Highly recommended!

Good quality and portions, loaded fries on another level!

My only criticism would be that if you eat in you are just in sitting in the cricket club ( hence 4 stars 😔). It would be great to see this place have it on venue and create its own dining experience to compliment what is truly some of the best chicken I’ve ever eaten. Don’t let the venue spot you trying this place it really it SUUUUPER tasty 😋

Finally some authentic buffalo wings. Best I've found in Leeds and so glad I found it!

Ordered at 6.15 for collection, an hour passed with no update on order so rang and was told 10 minutes, drove down to collect and waited another 20 minutes. Shop was full of people complaining about waiting times so they were obviously very busy although there seemed to be plenty of staff in the kitchen. Eventually got food at 7.55, got home to find the order was wrong, we were given strips instead of wings, no explanation was given. I had a chicken burger which was ok but lacked any real flavour, the brioche bun was hard like it had been left on a hot surface too long. it was on top of a pile of lacklustre and luke warm fries which had obviously been sitting around for a while. Other burger was ok but again, fries were cold. Very disappointed and will not be returning.

Been here a few times now. I've loved everything I've tried off the menu!!! Only comment is the waffle bowl could be slightly larger for the price you pay. Haven't tried the wings but I've tried the chicken strips and they're phenominal. Burgers are hefty and juicy Fries are always perfectly crunchy Overall this place is what I consider the best chicken shop in Leeds by a mile

Wing a Ding food is the absolute best hidden treasure of leeds in years!!! There was a 40 minute wait and boi it was worth it!!!!! Crispy Mac cheese, suculent spicy sticky wings, crunchy tangy frickles, loaded fries feel like an absolute porker but will be back tomorrow .... it's just so good!!!! Nothing was greasy or cheap. Good quality ingredients, service with a smile 😃 Hoorah!! After all it is Thursday (any excuse for this food) BOOM well done guys!!! Smashed it lads... Don't take my word for it...
