Cafes are few and far between in this area, so what a treat to find this eatery downstairs in the Failsworth library, with friendly capable staff serving generous portions of tasty offerings. The cooked breakfasts are done well and feature quality ingredients. The fruit scones …well, I would be surprised if you can find better in this part of the world. Large, moist and tasty. It was very difficult to resist the large slices of amazing looking Victoria sponge in the cabinet - maybe next time. The cafe is flooded with lots of natural light from a wall of glass looking out to the Rochdale canal. After our breakfast here we crossed over and enjoyed a stroll along the canal. On a wet day, we would have stayed and browsed in the library. Good clean toilets upstairs, and plenty of information about activities in the library and local area displayed on a board in the cafe. A true community cafe.

This place is great! One of my regular choices for takeaway. The fishcakes are amazing. Really nice, helpful people too.
