Whitelock's First City Luncheon Bar in Leeds

One of the best pubs in Leeds by a mile, the drink selection and the atmosphere are unmatchable, and I have had many a great night here. Cannot recommend enough :)

Not my usual choice of bar but was a very cosy place.

Lacks the easy go lucky feel it used to have and old peculiar isn't guaranteed any longer, another good old pub that's got above it's status, menu is too expensive as are drinks, the old luncheon bar with simple pub favourites was best. Been visiting since the early nineties and it isn't a patch on that any longer, outdoor heaters is the only real step forward, the rest is to suit the in crowd with deep pockets, obviously this review won't bother use owners but I know a lot of people who don't visit any longer due to pricing. Our loss, like so many others.

Still has a good atmosphere and a good selection of beers a bit pricey hasn't changed much over the years apart from the prices

When i have a chance i always stop here: food is always really good and the menu changes seasonally. Of course has to be visited because it s the oldest pub in leeds and you'll notice that as soon as you walk in. Very very curios!

Love the beers here and decent service. Can sometimes feel a tad cliquey but worth a visit.

If your in Leeds you can't leave without going to Whitelocks. It's like stepping back in time

Quirky old bar. Ales aren't often to my liking and I don't like the way they have cordoned off an area for eating. Better in the summer when there is ample outside seating

Best pub in leeds for real ale and ciders. Been going for 20 years and it's always had a good selection of drinks, rarely enough seats but friendly and efficient staff

Bit too busy for me but can't knock the quality of the service. Staff still managed to be really attentive even when the place was rammed.

Nice oldy world pub in centre of Leeds great friendly atmosphere, food good and great choice of hand pull beers.

Excellent public house serving good cask and craft beers.

Place was friendly and enjoyed an hour or two in the beer alley with friends. The biggest let down was the number of people begging, was approached by beggars in excess of ten times in an hour

Good food, and plenty of outdoor seating. Can get very cramped on Friday and Saturday evenings.
