White Hart Cheadle in Stockport

We had a meal last night, but unfortunately ran out of time before it was served, as we had a hospital appointment. The staff couldn't of been more helpful, the meal was nearly ready but they was happy to sort it all once we got back from the appointment, a stressful evening made good by the great service and complimentary drinks. Thank you again for being so understanding. The food was amazing and a great service. We will definitely vist again

Visited this pub on st patricks day! Absolutely amazing atmosphere, Liam Sophie and Danica on the bar were really accommodating, Josh in the kitchen was great aswell, I ordered a few small plates and I’ll definitely have to come back to try them again. Thank you to all staff that made us feel so welcomed tonight!!

Was visiting Cheadle the last few days, spent some great time in the White Hart, from fantastic friendly staff to gorgeous food, we'll definately be returning. Want to thank all the staff from Liam, steve,danni,lauren,sophie,Athina,dee,Matthew,josh. Xxthank ye all so much Miriam & Aidan.

Came in for food and drink great service from Liam very friendly made you feel welcome

We regularly eat and drink in here and have always found the service to be friendly and food lovely. Dogs are welcome which is a bonus for us! Our faves are the small plates for Sharing.

Rude service. Women in green top behind the bar was so rude. I asked for the pint of Guinness we’d ordered and paid for that was just sitting behind the bar and she bit my head off for no reason. Obviously in a bad mood and took it out on customers. We were out for a special occasion and nipped in for a drink before going for food and she started our night in an awful way! So unnecessary!!

Visited today and had the beef Sunday roast. Meat was inedible, roast potatoes must have been in the fryer at least three times. Cauliflower cheese tasteless. On the plus side, the Yorkshire pudding and broccoli were good. Never again.

I went to the white hart last week with 3 of my colleagues for lunch. I had the 'double cheeky devil chicken burger' which was amazing!! The staff were friendly and the atmosphere was good. We all had a lovely time and we will definitely be returning

Chicken and ham pie with mash,gravy and broccoli was wonderful. Brad was attentive and cleared the table quickly after I had eaten which I like. Used to drink here about 50 years ago before I moved.

Good pub with the added bonus of having draught Bass. A lovely beer not often found in the area and worth going out if my way for!

Pre Booked a table. Entered the pub, waited to be seen, one staff behind the counter, no greeting, we aproached her, told her our name and booking, she just pointed and said 'I think you're down there'!! She couldn't be bothered to be honest. Found our table near a door, freezing cold, speaker blaring out above our head, mucky sticky table - the menu had to be peeled off it, the menu was grubby, sticky and food stained. Really didnt fancy eating in there so we left. Ok if you like a big screen football type of pub but not a Sunday lunch place by any means unfortunately, as other reviews and pictures of food looked nice, hence why we booked it. Reply from pub below: Laughable.. No metion of the cant be ar$ed staff. The table was just manky - no excuses, should be right first time, not move to another table that 'might' be cleaner! The speaker above our head was the least of the problems. Cleanliness cleanliness cleanliness.. and staff that can make a little effort to be friendly would be nice. Shocking.

I had a table booked on Christmas eve for my dad's birthday and we had a fantastic time. The food was lovely I had the festive chicken burger it was amazing. The bar staff were brilliant. We were greeted as we arrived by a gentleman called Liam and taken to our table, although it was busy( as it was Xmas eve) we still felt like we were looked after. We will definitely be coming back as a family soon.

Nice to see more unique options on draught anyway. I chose Thatchers Cloudy Lemon 🍋

Great pub. Clean and friendly. The manager and staff are very professional and accommodating. Would definitely recommend as a place to go.

Great place to watch football. Good range of beers and excellent pub grub for when you are a tad hungry. The beer garden is another highlight next to the 14th century St Mary's church.

Read a review on this pub ,was staying at the premeir inn but decided to venture out . The food was typical pub food I had the gammon and hubby had fish and chips but have to say it was lovely, nice portions and hot . Staff lovely. Would recommend

I had the pulled mushroom chilli and rice it was delicious. And reasonable price as well, the barman made me a hot tody which warmed me up as I was freezing.

The pub was clean,tidy and really interesting...the food was fantastic value for money and absolutely delicious. The staff were very engaged and keen to please...we shall return! Many thanks for a lovely evening!

Fantastic staff I could not praise the enough. The food is amazing. Brilliant team that have worked so hard during these horrible times and still treat you like the world's ok . Definitely call in you will love it .

Family oriented, very pleasant staff. An allround great atmosphere, very wide selection of beers spirits and wines and Steve the manager has gone as far as getting your favourite tipple in. If you come to Cheadle, give them a call in. You won't regret it... Don't forget to say hi to Athena,and , Danica, lauren and sophie they make the place

Good pub but I don’t understand how they can be £5 more expensive than other pubs on the high St. for exactly the same drinks.

Attentive staff and a lovely old pub next to a beautiful church. Greene King stable of beers and seems popular with diners. Overall, nice.

Lovely unassuming little pub, with good service and choice of beers.

First time I'd visited here the other day after living in the area for 5 years. The food was of very poor quality and quantity, there appeared to only be 2 serving staff on (on a Saturday afternoon!) and so service was really really slow. The atmosphere was flat, kids crying, dogs barking, obnoxiously loud large party next to us, overall a really negative first impression and experience and it's safe to say I will not be returning any time soon!

Mrs and myself were in the area and chose the White hart for a bit of lunch and drinks. Very friendly staff and tasty food.

The white hart is a lovely pub, great food and a lovely atmosphere and the staff are always there to help.

We popped in at about 7pm on Friday evening and had the 2 meals for £15. I think it was the best pub grub I've had for years. Really good quality, simple traditional pub grub at a good price point. Good pint as well.

Pub is nice and the food was decent. Unfortunately our meals weren't brought out together but I put that down to it being a busy Sat afternoon.

Came for scran and a pint with my mates today food was 10/10 pint was 10/10 and Liam and his team were dead friendly and made the whole day even better. Definitely going to be coming back much more often. Best pub in Cheadle!!!

Great New Year's Eve meal. Chose from a prix fixe menu a couple of weeks ago, and we were not disappointed. I had the Christmas dinner, which was so delicious!

Had a lovely evening here with the Christmas menu. Had 3 courses and the food was ace, huge portions and was really nice. Staff are wonderful, go above and beyond to make your experience there even better. Big shout out to Liam and the staff for a great evening.

The prices here are crazy £14.10 for two drinks.. in the horse and farrier literally 2 minutes down road it is £9.40. These are London prices no wonder this pub is always dead.

Shame really. The food we had wasn't particularly great but the service was very good. I'm not in a rush to return.

With a shopping trip on the cards in Cheadle, we decided on lunch first at the white hart. A lovely warm welcome from Liam the Manger on arrival. Had a hot chocolate made by Lauren which was by far the best one we have had , lovely warm and cozy atmosphere as soon as you walk in with lovely Xmas tree. I would recommend this place if you’re in the Cheadle area shopping or just fancied a bite to eat. Will definitely be back. Thanks guys 🥰

Went for quiz, pub as usual was lovely but could enjoy the quiz as the Internet connection .kept going off, a lot of tables got frustrated with this

Nice cute place, pleasant atmosphere prices are reasonable. However, service for dinner is slow, 45+ mins waiting, and the food came out cold (had to ask to be reheated). Portions were good and tasty, though veg came out undercooked.

Had a meal in here with my girlfriend for her birthday and the food was excellent, very tasty. Nice atmosphere too with friendly staff.

Lovely pub :) Ordered the roast dinner and the taste and portion were great but we waited 45min or more for our food and it was cold and the veg was undercooked.

I have not been in for many years, and what a pleasant suprise, early doors full of regulars, very welcoming and positive atmosphere, the pub is bright and breezy with a good sized outside drinking area, well worth a visit.

A sister meal out and as we're all seniors had a lovely 3 course meal for £6.99. Lovely food One small complaint, the music was a little on the loud side .

Found this place to visit to watch the women’s World Cup final. What a welcoming friendly atmosphere. Met the manager Liam who made sure we got everything we asked for and needed. Took the kids and a small dog, we were all well catered for. Enjoyed some breakfast. Thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience even though England didn’t win. Big thumbs up from us all. Well done guys you’re doing a fab job 👍

Things have definitely changed for the better, team are very attentive, manager seems to have everything in hand, great pub.

Great pub, friendly staff. The only comment would be to rethink your Pina Colada recipe as something fizzy in a creamy drink really doesn't work.

It's a good vibe. Really tasty food. Just book a table on their website before you visit if you want to be seated. A really good selection of beers on tap. I absolutely love the cocktail pitchers and shots combos.
