Popped in to Peaches and Passion to meet a friend last week. What a lovely surprise! The lady who served us was lovely. Helpful, friendly and patient!!! The menu was good! Few things I'd like to call back again to try. Prices as expected. We both ordered eggs benedict, mine without bacon. The lady asked how we wanted our poached eggs - first time I've ever been asked! And they were just right. The food was absolutely gorgeous. Despite it looking like there was too much hollandaise sauce, it was just the right amount. Oat milk available for my cappuccino. Fresh baked scones appeared shortly after we'd eaten - they looked good. And a small selection of tray bakes, again tempting! People do park along the street outside - it is wide enough ok. There is a small carpark just to the side of the building, maybe better if you have got children with you. Would highly recommend! And hope to be back soon. Thank you 😊

Over the past few months, we’ve observed a noticeable decline in food quality at the restaurant. The menu has been reduced, and the presentation of dishes could certainly be improved. For example, the Cock and Bull dish has had the mash removed, yet the price has increased by 20%. When we visited recently, the lettuce in our meal had a noticeable odour, with signs of rot on some leaves. My mother’s meal also arrived incorrectly, with simple requests—like serving the sauce separately—being ignored. Our server was professional, friendly, and attentive, noting all our requests. However, when the food arrived, it seemed generic, and none of the amendments were applied. Most of the steak was served at room temperature and wasn’t cooked as requested, which was extremely disappointing. Additionally, the sauce was so thin that it was closer to flavoured water. I understand that the hotel may be up for sale, but it feels like management has already “clocked off,” and the lack of care is evident. This was a 40th birthday celebration with 16 guests. Unfortunately, there was no background music or atmosphere, and we were placed in a side room without any acknowledgment of the special occasion. As regular visitors, it’s disheartening to see the steady decline in both food quality and the overall experience. I’m now seriously considering other venues for future events and dinning out.
