Travelodge Swansea Central in Swansea

Town centre location. 10 min walk to the coast. Nice staff. We didn't try cooked breakfast but it looked good. Toast and cereal was enough for us. Have to pay for parking at multi storey but only £5 per 24 hours

We stayed here for one night while at a nearby event. I understand that the room was fairly reasonably priced and nobody expects "luxury" in a hotel like this, but honestly, I won't be booking a room here again. When we entered, the staff were nice enough, booking us in quickly and letting us know where the room was. We got into the room, flicked the light switches on and only one of the two ceiling lights came on. Flicking the three switches back and forth didn't change anything, the light simply didn't work. Realizing we were going to stay in a partially lit room, we dropped our suitcases, went to the event and came back to sleep. The bed was comfortable with firm pillows, can't fault that. Staying on the fifth floor meant that we couldn't hear much from the city which was great. We woke up and went to the toilet, as you do. I don't know if the pressure was off or anything but the toilet didn't want to flush the waste away. We were just going to have to leave it there. We decided to quickly shower before checking out. I pulled open the shower curtain to a bath with a shower gel dispenser on the wall, which filled me with relief as I had unfortunately forgotten my shower gel at home. No points for guessing that it was empty when I went to use it. Not impressed with the bathroom overall. While I was showering, the other half noticed (as other reviews have) the shoddy paint work on the ceiling, and more concerningly, the fact that our bedding was ripped (photos included). After getting dressed, we decided to try the toilet once again before leaving, and after holding the handle down for a little while, the water started flowing and it emptied! I don't like to think I'm picky when it comes to budget rooms like these ones, but when you consider that there's a Premier Inn literally around the corner with a similar price point, you start to lean towards other companies when booking rooms like this. When we were on our way down in the lift, I wanted to let the receptionist know of our issues, and I decided "If they ask "How was your stay?", I'll tell them my honest thoughts". When we approached the counter to book out, I said "We're here to book out" and the receptionist looked at us and said, with a smile "That's all done for you, bye". Maybe I should have just taken the time to explain myself, but I truly do believe that when it comes to feedback, if you don't ask, you don't get. Thanks for the stay, but unfortunately it will probably be our last.

The Catholic church a stones throw away chimes it's bells every quarter of an hour, 24 hours a day. Close the windows open or windows closed, you ain't sleeping

All you would expect from aTravelodge clean comfortable and a very comfortable bed very conveniently for the city centre and easy parking pretty close by,recomend getting the parking app

We stayed here 3 of us the weekend when we got to a room nothing was cleaned the room was a tip when we told them at the desk they said they would get it sorted and have a free breakfast in the morning but the shower was leaking and slow the floor was soaking,there was a dirty duvet which was disgusting and smelling!! Would not stay here again!!

Very nice clean and customer service is excellent and friendly, rooms luke different Like standard travelodge is more exclusive And different designers I think this is travelodge plus 😁 For this price it's the best place to stay 👌😉 All the best

Hotel is a bit hidden with no sign but beds are cozy and rooms are nice, a much more modern Travelodge and well managed.

Nice clean hotel . Quite central . No luggage holding facilities though .

Stayed here yesterday while visiting the Swansea arena, speedy check in and the room was spotless, needed a few extra items which the reception were more than happy to provide (extra tea, sugar etc) room was decently soundproofed too and didn’t really hear any disturbance during the night. Has an attached bar/restaurant although I didn’t get the chance to try this out.

Good points - great location, pleasant welcome, comfy bed, good selection of drinks, snacks provided in room Not so good points - Room tired in places and grubby. Broken picture frame on wall, tv remote grim. Bottom of tiles in bathroom need proper clean. I can understand tired decor to a point but not uncleanness. Despite being on top / 6th floor, glazing wasn't great at keeping noise out. Ear plugs recommended. No parking on site but closest car park a very reasonable £5 for 24 hours. Extra star as it was cheap!

Lovely hotel, I had 2 single beds, and my daughter had a double. Very comfortable and roomy. Not far from amenities. Had a bar and cafe, and serves breakfast for under a tenner

Unemptied and overflowing cigarette bin at the entrance gave a poor image for two days of our stay. Similarly, spilled food not cleaned from the main staircase - cleaning infractions gave rise to poor score on service.

This was a by far larger room than in Central London, however to be fair, London doesn't have the same space allowance as Wales does. The staff were kind and helped us recieve cabs and irons. I do wish they had more on the menu for dietary restriction and allergies, but I guess when one does not receive as many customer with these issues, they don't really see a need to change, but my generation has a lot more health and eating issues, so they are bound to change in the next 5 years or so.

Extra cost to park in adjacent public car park otherwise all good...clean, close to town and sea front

The hotel is located in the city center and is just a short walk from the marina. However, I found the bed to be a bit hard, so I opted to leave early and check into another hotel nearby.

Good old Travelodge! Room always clean, good selection of food available. This particular hotel is blessed with very helpful staff who always go the extra mile...see you soon

Perfect location for visiting my daughter. Room was clean and comfy. Breakfast was good, but there was no Gluten free bread, literally the only complaint I have! Staff were friendly and accommodating. Will definitely be staying again and have recommended to other family members.

We had such a cheap deal that we couldn't go wrong. This time we had the great value buffet style breakfast

Definitely worth price. Breakfast bit of a let down Advise get to it early otherwise left with nothing.
