Ticos Deli in Dundee City

Ticos is a beautiful deli, with great food and warm and friendly staff. The owner Sergio, is great, very accommodating and ensures top quality of food, drinks and service. Soup and a sandwich deal is brilliant. I recommend the Grandmother sandwich!

Ticos Deli is a diamond in a town filled with gems. From large chains to small independents there is so much choice in Broughty Ferry it is difficult to get around them all but I would highly recommend making time to visit Ticos. The coffee is amazing and the food even more so. With a menu reflecting the owners Portuguese roots there is a great selection of sandwiches, focaccias, soup and pastries. I had the Spanolita - a sandwich with choritzo, parma ham, sun blushed tomatoes and harissa. It was delicious! I cannot wait to return to try the breakfast menu. First up will be the Eggs Benedict..... p.s. I had a dog with me the day I visited and she was welcomed and even given some lovely ham by the owner.

What a beautiful spot for food. The deli is lovely with a great feel to it. The staff are brilliant, very polite and helpful. The food is amazing, so fresh and full of flavour. Sergio the owner is incredible, the plat is spotless and runs very smoothly. I'd recommend Tacos Deli to anyone.

Lovely breakfast getting away from the traditional meat based fried choice. All dishes are prepared fresh from scratch but worth the little extra wait. We both went for the avocado & salmon on toast, which was nicely presented and had plenty of flavour. If you want something slightly different then you won't go far wrong than by giving Ticos a try.

I really expected something special and different. It wasn’t. The ”meat taco” had 2 slices of chorizo, avocado, beand and a poached egg, cheese and salsa on the side. Apart from the poached egg, everything was clearly just spooned in from shop bought jars. The tortilla was stone cold. Everything was served from a deep soup plate, whivh made it difficult to eat. I honestly do not understand what was the ”deli” bit in this dish.

Exceptionally friendly and welcoming staff made our coffee and pastry stop a great experience. If you have a dog and fancy a coffee in Broughty Ferry then this is where you need to visit.

We came upon this cafe quite by chance and were so happy we did. We had a very friendly welcome into a bright, clean room and kitchen. The menu caters to all diets and tastes. Not being too hungry, we asked if we could share an eggs benedict. Of course, came the reply! We had a flat white, a very large decafè Americano, which was hot. It's probably the best eggs benidict I've ever had! 😋 Made with prosciutto ham and the smoothest sauce. We then shared a pain au chocolate yum..... we will definitely be revisiting on our next trip to Broughty Ferry.

Ate with wife and 20 year old son. Quiet friendly deli with great prices and portions. Deli style food all freshly prepared so wee bit of a wait, however well worth it. I believe the dishes om offer are based on Portuguese food.
