Lovely sandwich, just be aware if using their website to plan your lunch - all the prices are wrong. Edit to owner: The menu is available through your website yellowdoordeli.co.uk, linked through Google and Google maps, the staff in-store kindly informed me it was 'years out of date' 2nd edit pulled directly from the 'menu' section of your google maps listing: http://yellowdoordeli.co.uk/wp-content/themes/yellowdoor/assets/Yellow-Door-Lisburn-rd-menu.pdf

All the staff were friendly. The food served was delicious. I had the Hereford beef salad (twice) and the wiltshire ham salad. The portions were plentiful and the meat was particularly good - the beef was served rare, a real treat these days. Coffee was good as well. At the front of the shop you could buy fresh bread and rolls and many patisserie and delicatessen items. Do go here if you are in Portadown.

We didn’t know this bakery/cafe place existed until last Saturday when we turned up at a food and cider festival in Armagh city centre. We bought some fabulous North Irish Brie style cheese, magnificent local gin and a dozen rhubarb & honey cider at the festival. There were a number of talks through the day as part of the festival and the one that we attended had a cheese-maker (blessed are the cheese-makers) a cider maker (who says he is still trying to perfect apple brandy) and a chef from the Yellow door. We made a point of making the 25 mile journey to try the food in this place today. It’s unremarkably located down a nondescript side street. Three of us dined and we all chose the prawn on wheaten bread and it tasted superb. We were all delighted with our food. I opted for the soup & sandwich and picked the celeriac & parsnip and it was really superb tasting too. Service was good but the young chap forgot to bring me a knife & fork. When I went to pay the bill I decided to try some of the takeaway food - I opted for sausage rolls and chocolate eclairs. The sausage rolls and eclairs became supper tonight. They tasted quite good, and were a decent portion size but I’d have preferred had they been better seasoned. The chocolate eclairs tasted rotten - really shockingly bad food compared to everything else we had. I’m leaving my review at five star as everything else was so very good but I can’t figure how a place that’s so good with a great chef can produce something so bad.

Came for lunch. Was delicious. Really liked the extras with the toastie. Plus.. they do cake. It was my birthday so I had a whole piece, I probably shouldn't have. I called in for coffee and was disappointed that the only option of gluten free treats was all prepackaged bought in tray bakes which are overly sweet and unappetising. In a deli type business which bakes its own bread and in this age of growing awareness of food allergies, I’m disappointed that they can’t offer something like a gf carrot or polenta cake that everyone could enjoy. My husband did enjoy his scone so I’ve given a slightly better score to account for that.

I have reviewed Yellow Door before, but it is always up there as one of my top 3 in the area. The only reason it doesn't make number 1 is the fact it doesn't open late at night. Love the yellow door but completely bewildered by the price system. Ordered a coffee, croissant and bacon to sit in. Was served coffee and then realised I did not have time to sit so ask for croissant and bacon to take away. I was charged £7:95. On following day asked for takeaway coffee bacon and croissant and checked prices £5:50. I was then told that meat filled croissant was £4:95 ( I did not ask for the bacon to be put inside the croissant). I cancelled my order totally confused by the whimsical price policy.

Well what can I say. This used to be one of our family favourites but in recent times it has went severely down hill. I cannot for the lfe of me understand why they even have a menu these days because what you get certainly isn't what's on the menu!! We had to send the food back last time because of this very reason and when it was returned it still wasn't what we'd ordered. With so many really good places opening nearby recently you'd think the Yellow Door would up their game rather than just giving in and letting the place go.

This is a bit of an institution in the area and has earned it. Simon has a well earned reputation for excellent food. You wont get better bread in N Ireland, its that simple. The deli and almost all the food served here are excellent and locally produced ingredients used. Its just......missing little things now and again. Service...could be better on occasion, food....mostly full of flavour but can be a little rough round the edges for breakfast. You can smell of food leaving also. Its only scored a 4 here as the bar was set by it so high. This place dragged the local food scene kicking and screaming out of the 80,s where it was stuck for 30 years. (Think a place in Markethill). Just keep pushing the bar up guys.

We were a group of 8 out for breakfast. Between us we tried many different options on the menu - significantly no-one enthused and at best people shared experiences of great breakfasts elsewhere in town. My full breakfast, despite the mouthwatering description, was tasteless. The brown sauce served in ramekin dishes was runny with strong taste of vinegar definitely not the parliamentary standard sauce that one would expect.Filter coffee is not available and the americano was weak and lacking flavour.Service was friendly.

A group of four visited the restaurant at approximately 3.50pm and were advised to take a seat, which we did promptly. We waited about 10 minutes before we got any service, at which time we were asked by the most unfriendly young member of staff if we were ready to order, but as we were never provided with menus we were not aware of what was available. The staff member stormed off and came back with them. She then returned in the same abrupt manner, and no matter what we asked for she advised us they had ran out of it, such as, turkey, ham, sliced bread or cream (this we saw in the fridge display with the dessert we ordered). This is totally acceptable for any restaurant regardless of the time or how the individual felt.Having visited here many times and entertaining visitors, I was appalled that I brought anyone into this type of environment. I am so embarrassed and will not return.Unfortunately that one person has marred the overall image despite the ladies on the counter being so friendly and helpful.

We visit on a regular basis and were very disappointed when we called for breakfast recently, we ordered tea for two a small pot arrived very weak and didn't fill two cups when we asked for a refill pointing this out we were met with an unsatisfactory response of that's what you get. The pot was reluctantly refilled with the same tea bag and when we checked there was only 1 this is unsatisfactory and I could have had a box of good quality teabags for the price of 2 teas. I must say that I think charging so much for tea is a blow for customers its a rip off . Breakfast was unimpressive . When we pointed out about the tea there was no compensation and we were charged full price. Whatever happened to treating customers well? I don't apprecite spending my hard earned money on substandard food and service. We won't be back there's plenty of better competition.

I eat here maybe twice a week and while the food is usually very good , the standard of service is going down hill.On my last visit my soup arrived tepid so I sent it back.....I had to send it back twice more before it was finally hot enough. The young lady who served me obviously couldn't have cared less what the customer received. The surprising thing was that the owner, Simon, was sitting at the next table and MUST have noticed but did nothing. One my previous visit I had to wait 40 minutes for my meal to arrive(lunchtime)and this was after enquiring about the delay( I asked had they forgotten about me and they were extremely condescending saying "the fish meal takes longer than a bowl of soup you know"I'll think twice before eating here again....pity !

I called in here for food with my sisters about 2 weeks ago. I had only ever heard great reviews and thought I'd give it a try. Unfortunately I left very disappointed, my potato and leek soup was so salty I couldn't even finish half of it and the service was terrible, the food was down yet we hadn't been set knifes or spoons, and the waitress just didn't seen interested in us, giving no eye contact at all. However I must note my sister had the ciabatta sandwich which was delicious and the brownie was the best id ever had. Finally I must note that I found it slightly expensive and although I won't be back for lunch I will call in for a takeaway brownie.

I love having breakfast here. The food is always lovely but can be a bit pricey. Love the deli counter and fresh bread but again is a bit pricey

A great cafe for breakfast or if you want a tasty scone. The food to take away is also great. The lunches are a little expensive for what you get so I would advise going earlier in the morning.

IF THIS IS NOT OWNED BY THE SAME COMPANY - PLEASE IGNORE COMMENTS BELOW... HOWEVER I COULDNT FIND THE YELLOW DOOR BOUCHER ROAD ON TRIP ADVISOR - BUT WAS TOLD THEY ARE ALL OWNED/RUN BY THE SAME PEOPLEI know this restaurant has not long opened (where Fultons used to be), but we decided to go there for lunch last week. A average range of food. Very over priced - for example... 1 very small slice of turkey and 1 very very small slice of ham with a teaspoon of cranberry sauce was £3.50. I really only wanted one portion - was given two (thinking this was a portion), and charged for 2... £7.00. also, one small bottle of Diet Coke was £1.99.... I know it is a restaurant - but that has to be the most expensive bottle of coke I have come across anywhere. I decided on tap water I the end... (I can buy 2 x 2 litres for £2) To be honest, there wasn't much taste off the turkey or ham, and I didn't finish it all. Very disappointed. I know they may have huge overheads in such a building but they will never get much custom if they don't provide reasonably priced food for all budgets. And please STOP charging for every single thing that's put on the plate.. for example, 'Do you want salad with that?' well that will be so much extra, and coleslaw, that more, and a crusty roll - I asked for (well it wasn't, it was a soft roll and very sweet), that was more too... In the end... having eaten in many places, I don't think I will be back here in a hurry. To be honest, a small portion of turkey and a soft roll and bottle of diet coke...£9... McDonalds would have tasted better and been cheaper for a whole meal at about £4.50 and there would have been more to it. Doesn't encourage anyone to eat more healthy when this is the best that's offered.

The yellow door is a deli/bakery/cafe that produces beautiful food, bread and desserts to either eat in the cafe or buy to take away. In the past for a special occasion I have ordered desserts from the Yellow Door and they were amazing.

Had lunch on a busy Saturday afternoon with my grandson Thoroughly enjoyed the experience Staff attention to detail is good My grandson didn't finish his meal and twice we were asked was everything alright The food was delicious maybe one suggestion that instead of a just giving glasses of water a jug or pitcher of water would be more appropriate I would recommend this restaurant
