The Wheatsheaf Pub Restaurant in Peterborough

I have used this pub for over 10 years and it’s always been good the latest manager Sharon Walton is on a power trip barring some of the pubs locals for no reason I witnessed this myself she used to work at a nice hotel in Peterborough as a waitress now she is on a massive power trip pub has gone way downhill GET RID OF THE MANAGER SHARRON WALTON.

This pub is a joke, dont let the greene king logo fool you its not run by them. The prices are outrageous beers are always flat. There is no food. The place has had a referb but toilets dont even have locks. Will not go again. Not welcoming to families.

I’m a frequent customer at this business and have been for several years , recently the business was taken over by new management and I’m disgusted. I recently went there for a first date and was greeted by a black haired female member of your staff urinating behind the premises wall. The drinks are overpriced and the only good thing about this place is the wallpaper and even that was peeling off the walls. The windows where smashed and they had withdrawn their food menu even though it has been advertised since the reopening, Need I mention the rat I saw running through the outdoor beer garden. Overall a business I once loved has gone dramatically downhill, the place is filthy and I doubt the staff urinating outside Infront of customers is in line with hygiene standards, the most welcoming people their where was the several uniformed police officers who pulled up as I was trying to leave, I can positively say I will never step foot inside this business again.

After my recent visit to this local pub I was very disappointed, yes it has pretty wall paper but that is about all! Staff were rude and not welcoming, food has been advertised since opening but Still not available. Drinks are very very over priced and not what you would expect from a local pub! After leaving my vehicle overnight, when returning the next morning, I noticed all the front windows had been smashed, not sure if something had occurred due to the heavy police presence the night before! Will not be returning or recommending.

One of the worst pubs I’ve ever experienced, Sharon is rude, been promising food and still nothing, and as for the drinks, you’d be lucky to get a decent pint, well over priced ,, And to top it the pub is always empty Avoid this pub, over priced, no food, and rude staff

The Wheatsheaf is now under new management, with Sharon a most friendly and welcoming Manager. The pub has been renovated and redecorated, giving a lovely impression when you walk in. Sharon's team are very friendly and helpful. Still waiting for the kitchens to be up and running. I must add, all the undesirables have been barred from the pub, thank goodness, which now makes it a very pleasant and safe experience. Good luck to the Team. Best wishes, Susan Fuller
