Food range was disappointing as they only had some items that were on the menu

Lovely pub and beer garden. There was hardly nothing on the menu to order, very disappointed . Was there for 5 hours with friends. Good service from bar.

Good outside area, shame food stops at 9pm

Did not attend the wedding but we were playing golf match between different team.The food ,service and playing with different club was very nice but the rain ruin the golf game.

I appreciated the warm, welcoming atmosphere at The Sun and really enjoyed the Thai cuisine. I've added it to my barguide.london site too!

Too many drunks too loud felt uncomfortable

Pub was meant to shut at 1 but the security had to go to another job so kicked us out 10 mins early. I love this pub but security were disrespectful for no reason and decided to surround me and my gf (3 of them) which was unnecessary, as. They had to go to another job not our problem. Staff are lovely security disrespectful for no reason

Great food, all cooked fresh upon order. This is a new menu being offered by the pub, definitely something I will be returning for. Service is great and just a happy place to come have some food and a drink.

Good - very nice atmosphere only not so much of food and drink selectiond and TV in the garden and inside of the pub was too loud - should lower down the TV noises a bit. But, garden area is lovely...

Went for a pub lunch. The staff are lovely and helpful. There are good lunchtime deals and the food is great. There is also a pub garden. I haven't used this yet, but I will in the summer. Great pub.

We stayed in the area Friday because we were flying from Heathrow. We tried this place and I'm pretty glad we did. Cool looking pub, great place for drinks. The Pizza was one of the best pizza's I've had in a long time. Definitely recommend

Absolutely terrible. Do not go here. Walked in, waited at the bar for two minutes with no one showing up. All the while listening to drunken singing. I decide to leave as this vibe plus the near guarantee of mediocre Italian food was not interesting to me. On the way out, a patron (I think) yelled something at me in an unintelligible accent and I felt a drop of something hit my face and heard a few drops hit my backpack. Who know what the mystery liquid was.

I recently dined at The Sun pub (Lorenzo's Bistro) with my family and tried their burger – it was delicious! We had a great time and plan to come back soon.

Pub is ok during the day but totally different for the worse during the nights parking is a nightmare they park on the pavement blocking access to pedestrians I have photos of these to which I have forwarded to the police this is unacceptable

The worst place to eat in Hounslow . The staff didn't know anything about the menu . last month I ate a portion of chicken fingers and one of potatoes which were really big, this time they gave me 4 small pieces of chicken fingers and half of the potatoes. I wanted a glass of red strongbow and they give me a simple beer. Also the only good thing was pizza . Cola without taste, a lot of water in it.

It's a nice pub but they screw you on parking charges. I parked my car and went here on 21 July and bought some drinks. Fortunately I asked for and still had the receipt. On 2 August I received a parking charge for parking my car at the Sun on 21 July! I've appealed and attached a photo of the receipt. I don't understand why The Sun treats and penalises it's paying customers that use the car park, like this. If I hadn't kept the receipt I would not have been able to prove that I was a paying customer there! The Sun have clearly commissioned Parkmaven to be their car parking monitor for extra revenue!

The place is good, I love the garden. Service was also good but the food is just overpriced for the quality they serve. This was the Cesar salad. I don't need to comment, the picture speaks. The size of the portion is also quite small.

Hello, I was a part of the pub's baby shower party today. I don't know the name of the woman behind the bar, but she did marvellously and made me feel at home despite the fact that there was a queue out the door, all by herself. This is what you call a highly talented barmaid, and she definitely deserves a rise considering how challenging it must have been.Her exceptional management of everything that was thrown her way this contributed to me and all my friends and family to have an amazing time.

Hello, I'm just a regular customer, but I wanted to take a moment to thank one of the staff members. I believe her name is Laura, and she worked incredibly well today on her own. It was absolutely amazing, and she deserves some sort of acknowledgment or, better yet, a promotion. It takes a lot of skill and patience to handle that many customers on your own while simultaneously attending to the needs of other customers.

Unfortunately we arrived to find the Thai section which is still advertised on their website and the google page had closed down years ago. The reason we came to the sun was for some Thai food. So then I ordered nachos as I'm gluten intolerant only to be told later they had no nachos. And now I have to downgrade my rating as three weeks later we received a 60 pound parking fine for parking exactly where the restaurant worker told us to park. Outside their establishment. The mind boggles. 😅

Lovely, good size pub. I normally go more in the summer due to the huge and lovely beer garden. Great to sit out in.

Too expensive. This place has a good outside area with a garden, and that's it. Food quality is poor compared to the price. Beer selection is limited. They say fresh pizza, but it's not fresh at all and tasteless. More pubs in the short walk where you can get a better experience at much better prices.

Let me start off with saying what a nice little pub, has a lovely big garden at the rear, has a pool table, Live sports and music, the staff are nice and friendly and serves fast. The food is multho bueno! very nice presentation and tasty. However there are 2 down falls for me, the first is that, it has a small car park probably enough to fit 10 or 11 vehicles and that's with blocking other parked cars, the second is that, the pub has a beautiful fountain at the back but it needs attention the water pressure is low and the fountain itself needs some upgrade like a new paint job. other than that overall its good :)

This pub used to be ok 👍 but now has become a SCAM! I ordered Chicken cesar salad which cost £8 also one portion of Nachos which costs £7 in the menu at least, also 1 Guinness and 1 cider mixed fruits cos they didn't have strawberry! They charged me £32 , does anyone has the clue how much could be the beer Guinness over there!! What a shame

Its shame to say this pub has been a very big let down. Ordered starters and they never arrived. They take your money, but there service is a big let down. I'm disgusted with there management, he doesn't know how to talk to a paying customer. With great disappointment we left not having our starters as we waited so long and when we asked for refund he refused.

Please note this review is NOT for the pub, it’s for the restaurant in it. I ordered a Chicken Caesar Salad today which was £8.00 and this is what I got after 25mins of waiting at off-peak time with no one else ordering food. I mean??? How is lettuce and mini chicken pieces a chicken caesar salad? And please tell me who priced this at £8? If I wasn’t on a work lunch break conscious of time, I would have 100% sent this back. No food there apart from pizzas is worth the money, massively overpriced. Please bring the Thai Restaurant back to The Sun 😞

If I wanted to order a plate of old mans barf, I'd expect to see it on your menu. In fact I came close to barfing when I saw how disgusting the female bartenders attitude was when serving customers. I saw how she talked down to one customer and made him feel like foolish in front of other pub goers which made me feel bad for him because he'd entered the pub looking cheerful and was hoping to unwind after a hard days graft. The first thing he got was attitude from that girl not even a hello or a smile. Her attitude alone made me barf never mind what was coming my way on a plate. Well, when the nauseating dish arrived, I was reassured it was 'lovely thai food'. I still think the color, texture, smell and look of the dish resembled a violent chundering episode by some old man who'd passed out in the gents toilets. This was disgusting what can I say. I then decided to tip toe (backwards) away from that pile of man puke and sneaked out into the beer garden where I proceeded to work me self up a roll up cigarette only to be confronted by a rude drunk who was giving it the 'big un' ( he would later boast he also owned a 'big gun'..). 'You know who I am? Do you?' he asked me. I remember lighting my cigarette and taking a good drag and thinking 'this might be fun, or I might regret this', so I decided to grant him his few moments of relief from loneliness and self loathing and gave him a few minutes of my time. Tragically he took more than just a few minutes of my time. Try the remainder of my evening at this pub. He kept reassuring me that if anybody tried to mess with me (and not in those exact words) he'd be the first to come to my aid. Just how and exactly with who or what, I had no idea as I could have sworn I saw him losing control of his bladder outside. Once I saw this man urinating helplessly without making it so much as to the door back inside, I again began to tip toe away and this time did a runner from this rancid rat hole. Avoid this place. you really don't want to waste your time or your personal reputation being spotted here.

The fish wasn't fresh, and the waitress didn't offer condiments. We waited ages for our order! Not very welcoming 😕

Visited this place to watch a football match with friends. Prices are reasonable, ambience is good, live sports. It has a nice garden as well. You can also book this place for events and parties. Staff was very helpful. I had a nice time here watching the match with drinks and food.

Nice place but can’t tell much as the kitchen staff said we couldn’t order anything as there were issues in the kitchen and there was no cold food my friends and I could order. I was a bit disappointed as there were no options at all, just drinks available.

PROS: Amazing beer garden. Very spacious and well maintained. There is even a fountain, a swing and a ping pong table with balls and rockets included. This pub is suitable for families with small kids. CONS: They are understaffed! On a bussy day like Saturday they had only one lady at the bar who was taking the order, drinks and food separately and she was actually the waitress as well as she had to live the bar to serve the food outside. She was very friendly, professional and helpful but extremely pressurised.

Really shocked with last visit. I've never seen such bad attitude of the owner. He kicked us off from pool table because his friends came over and said they have free time till 10pm to play and said it's not personal. We even couldn't finish 1st game, his friends were staring at us and started to argue with me. Very rude! Not welcoming for women! Thai food year ago was nice and now kitchen changed and not good at all. Large garden is why people go there.

The Sun, only gets a one star, as I could not score 0. The appetisers arrived 45 min after ordering, five minutes later our first of five orders arrived. Had to wait for a further 30 minutes to receive another order, which arrived cold. Eventually the remaining orders arrive, poor quality… It’s assumed that they have only have one small oven and or microwave, hence the delay in the order. Absolutely appalling. Not really a decent beer house as they have a limited quality of beers… to be truthful I could not find a decent ale.

Nice big pub, plenty of drinks available and food was good. Garden looks good for the summer. The only words of advice I would say is get some comfy sofas and chairs in! All those wooden chairs/benches do get uncomfortable after a while....but overall a good experience!

Pub frequented by mainly drunken men. Not welcoming to women. Food was good but had to wait as not clear when they start serving. Tech issues when trying to pay.was clean and fire place welcoming.

Love this pub but I can honestly say the roast I had in there today was absolutely disgusting the potatoes were anemic, vegetables soggy and gravy?? What gravy??and to top it off it was cold??? And then had clearly been microwaved and put on a fresh plate when I complained...dont advertise that you do a carvery roast if you can't deliver the goods...used to be banging in there too

A really nice pub. It's a hidden treasure within Hounslow for sure. Would be lovely if it was open later on Friday/Saturdays and also have louder music. Other than that It's definitely a place to go and chill out! Lovely staff too!

Great pub, lovely staff, lovely Thai food, great garden, best pub in the area.

A hidden gem this pub is. I guess it's under new management because it looks completely different from from how it did a few years back. Very good selection of beers on tap, ample parking and loads of space in the beer garden. It has a really good vibe overall, nice and clean and looks like the owners putting in a real effort to make this a friendly local pub and I'll say that it's succeeding.

The best Thai food! I have eaten a lot of Thai food but this is one of the best. It’s really fresh and super tasty. The corn cakes are jumbo too. We always get a take away but think we will dine in soon. The Thai green curry is really special!

Unfortunately this goes back, because I just saw a repeat of 'Caught on Camera ' .. thought I'd say something, First of all ,I loved this place, The chickens in the garden, the fountain. ,the secrets behind the jacuzzi fence, 🙃 Then all off a sudden 'English' decided she didnt like me.

Loved it loved it!! Staff are awesome! Food is amazing and filling! Very accomodating and able to have a laugh with customers. Was my first time there and I certainly will be going back! Can't believe I've driven past it for years and never ventured in. Now it's going to be one of my hot spots. Thanks for taking care of my friends and I!!
