A 16-inch chicken chashni calzone, filled with what seemed like pre-cooked, reformed chicken cubes, sitting in watery, bright red food colouring. It was so flat it fit in a regular pizza box, and the fillings were colder than the air around it. Unfortunately, I didn’t realize this until I got home. I briefly considered microwaving it to avoid wasting ~£15, but decided against putting my stomach through that. If you order here, check your food before leaving.

Best in town by far foods grate and good value . Friendly staff and very helpful. Have a vast menu and as said all iv had has been grate !👌

Verry verry happy, staff are friendly ,foods the very best in town folks by a mile . They caterer to your preferred choices of toppings and also the chocolate cake is grate . Porshon sizes are grate and I would neva recomend any other fast food place in fife . Big shout out to the best takeaway by a long shot in this town. The food was excellent and the timing for deliveries is always great! There has only been 1 mistake from them and it was just 1 missing curry. They fixed this quickly and even threw in an extra naan bread as an apology.

Pizza is one of the best I've ever had

We ordered for delivery several times now! Each time it is a constant quality and quantity. The chips vary slightly but that’s to be expected! They have messed up our order slightly one time but it was nothing too bad and they fixed it quickly. In conclusion i recommend this place a lot due to the service, quality and good timings even with deliveries!

I would not recommend it to anyone as it was simply a waste of money and left me feeling uncomfortable until the following day due to the tough meat, unpleasant taste, and lack of enjoyable flavor in the spice.

Not gonna lie this was the best takeaway we’ve had in a very long time, me and my man got the piri piri chips to share they were proper good and so full of flavor, my cheeseburger was perfect just how you want it. My man got the flame chicken spicy burger the chicken melted in your mouth! 10/10 from the both of us

They delivered a pizza to us that had clearly been dropped, cheese on only one side of the pizza. When we phoned to complain they immediately said we must have dropped the pizza, which we did not. Shocking customer service and the chips were shocking too, stale and hard. Will never order again.

Utterly terrible. Only thing that is half decent is the guys have a wee bit of banter in amongst all the nonsense. Food passible. The most vile thing I’ve seen in a long time in any take away which would probably have them shut down was the state of the forks in a giant dish. They looked like the were covered in mould. When asked for a fresh fork. Didn’t have any. How on earth are you supposed to eat your food? Guy couldn’t give a single second thought about it. Used to use the place years ago and it genuinely was the place to order from. Don’t take card at all. Why? Also over charged. Will not be back. Overall 1/5. Would not recommend.

Pizza's very greasy and tasteless took old donner off came through and put half of an old one on tasted like dog meat should have known better never again

Ordered a mixed kebab and chips. Was really really disappointed. The chicken and shish was so dry and pieces hard. I was never asked what salad I would like or sauce. The donor meat was ok. The chips were soggy and not crisp.

This takeaway is undoubtedly the best Turkish food takeaway in glenrothes my even say fife . Thar food is alway freshly cooked salad is freshly cut evry day thar prices are more than fair , and to add to that yhe customer service is second to nun . I wouldnt go any whar ells for the tipe of food they do even if a other place had 50% off . Thats hiw good i rate tge food from the best cabab and curry house in the town . Desert is top shelf to folks must try . 5 star award from me as say is the best and they pride them selfs on thar food qwality and customer service . Order from here all the time and usually it is spot on. However the last two times my order has been wrong! If I hadn’t travelled all the way home with it and so hungry. I’d take it back it’s not hard to give the customer what they asked for! The food is tasty and great value for money but please can we start giving people what they actually order?

I am gluten intolerant and I asked for chicken tikka and they gave me chicken paprika after pulling the man up about it he was adamant with me that he had put the right thing on my chips I am paying for it the next morning

Used to order all the time but after last night never again. Ordered pizza and chips and was told they were busy so would be an hour. Happy to wait. Called 1.5 hours and told on its way. Waited another half hour so 2 hours and when it arrived everything was freezing. Sent meal back and was told they would send a replacement for free …we are still waiting. Such a shame as used to be great.

ordered and was told 40 minutes for delivery. called back 90 mins later told it would be another 15-20 minutes. Another 40 minutes have passed and still waiting, Told surely you can wait another 5-10 minutes! Wont be ordering again and have used this place for years!

Food was amazing from here I had a king-size mixed kebab. It was amazing meat was all fresh cooked good quality and lots of it. This place has a very good selection on the menu and the staff are very friendly.

Bloody disgraceful over 2 hours for a delivery from shop to other side of Glenrothes, 2 miles at most. After being told it would be here in 30 minutes, called back 40minutes later to be told it would be another 15/20 minutes, called back 30 minutes later to be told 10/15 minutes. Absolute disgrace. If I could a lower score I would.

Placed my order tonight waited for 2hours before it arrived ok its a saturday night but its meant to be fast food. The burger was actually cold and had to be reheated. Ive used this place for a while but not happy with tonights food therefore 2 out of 10.

Over 2 hours waiting and still no food....phoned 3 times and lied to every time saying it was on its way....cancelled order at the shop and yet the delivery still showed up at my door 10 mins later...ONLY ORDER IF YOUR WILLING TO WAIT 2 AND A HALF HOURS

Terrible ordered at 4.25 did not arrive till 6.40 was luke warm and child meal of nuggets and chips were soggy also no mushrooms in my mushroom dish and nanny bread was burnt black 😳 Not a good experience

i cant believe how incompetent this place really is, its really sad because though the food tastes great, every time i order my order is wrong, without fail it is always the wrong order, i order chips chese and donner meat they will give me chips and curry with no cheese, this happens quite literally every time, would strongly advise going to the kismet or somewhere else because the food is very similar but you actually get what you order

I phoned in to ask if I could get a refund because the chicken tikka masala was salty and watery it didn’t have a nice texture and the bbq chicken wings looked unappetising and didn’t even taste like bbq they were also very dry the korma was okay but it was watery and didn’t have much taste to it so I phoned in and they spoke to me like sh*t and hung up on me I was very polite and said that they could pick the food back up so they knew that I was being serious, so I won’t be ordering again this place has went down the toilet with the food and customer service.

We've used spice of life quite a few time but last night ordered a calzone , it was cold , the chicken inside was disgusting little cubes, looks like what they top ordinary pizzas with.and looks like they had been dipped into chasni sauce , it was awful. If the chicken chasni is made up off little cubes I would not recommend , I've never in my life been served little cubes in my calzone and doubt I would eat there again

Shocking! Placed an order at 18.05 was told 18.45 for delivery. Phoned the shop at 19.05 to be told it was 10mins away. 19.30 still waiting. If I hadn't placed through just eat and prepaid this would of been cancelled!!

Had a takeaway last night and it was awful. Curry was very watery and we both had different strengths and both tasted exactly the same. Chicken was tough as was the lamb. Will never be back

Delivery of food was over an hours and a half late and when phoned, constant lieing about when it will be delivered first phone call its out for delivery, next phone call its in shop, and third it will be with you shortly, horrendous customer service would not recommend at all

Food was pretty bad and tasteless, The chips and kebab meat could have done with being cooked a bit longer, My meal was stone cold after 5mins of picking it up. Most of it got flung out.

For many years I have used the Jasmine for my curry needs but recently the curries from them have been bland and watery so we thought we would try the spice of life as we sometimes get a hogie wrap from there, Absolutely amazing could actually taste the different flavours in my Handi curry and my wife thoroughly enjoyed her special korma I honestly wouldn't go anywhere else now for a curry - highly recommended

Tasty Indian food, delivery was less than 45 minutes and price is good value. Will order again.

Very poor fish do not buy from them

Order is usually spot on but tonight was very poor. Wrap was stone cold chips not delivered. Sent chips out 15 minutes after original delivery. After working all day all I want is a good meal to then sit down and relax, unfortunately that won't be tonight.

I have been ordering from Spice of Life for a while and its just getting worse and worse. I ordered from Just Eat and they are usually late. There was one time I ordered my dinner and the person knocked at my door then left without even waiting till I answered. Tonight I ordered a set meal for 1 and I got my main course but I never got my poppadoms, the woman said she would come back with them. But I had to phone up and after an hour I had to phone again, they said that they were busy and it would be another 20 minutes. Phoned up after the 20 minutes and told them to not bother. Not happy at all with this place anymore. This place has really went down hill fast, I am not even sure if they care. I do not think I will be ordering anymore. Sick and tired of the service.

Ordered from spice of life for years, ordered tonight told delivery would be 1 hour. After 1 hour 20 mins phones and told order had just left and be 10 mins. After 2 hours phoned to cancel and knew exactly who I was without giving address. Now half 10 at night and still wanting my dinner. Now just had delivery driver at door although cancelling order and been sent direct from shop. Very cheeky as a company since I just cancelled. Wasted food and time for employee

Placed an order on just eat, 3 hours later... still nothing at the door. Called just eat to be told the restaurant has marked it as delivered however can’t contact them as phone is permanently marked as busy. Please do not waste your money as once marked delivered just eat will not refund or assist in gaining the money back.

Spice of life Glenrothes shocking ordered a meal around 7 pm had to phone back at 8:30 was advised they forgot our order. Then was advised it would take half an hour. After 100 phone calls and no one picking the phone up my daughter decided to cancel the order and had to physically go down to the spice of life. The staff could not even look at my daughter and was very rude and did not even apologise I will never be returning to spice of life.

Ordered a meal from spice of life around 7pm phoned at 8.30 was advised that they forgot my order and apologised and said it would be around half an hour after phoning 100 times it is now 10.15 order still not here cancelling my order starving family Will not be ordering from spice of life ever again. Phoned Kismat order ready in half an hour.

Incompetent. When a customer asks for no onions, that tends to mean that they do not want you put onions in their calzone. You'd think that when you are paying £8 for a meal that you'd get what you ask for, but I guess that's just me being naive. I sure hope you take better care in preparing your food in the future as I wouldn't want someone with allergies to have a bad reaction due to failure to follow instruction.

Hard to rate, any that is inspiring their hearts will get the best. These aren't the very magnanimous people. If you get a bad meal, or not so good, they maybe thought you were less impressive and it's your own fault. 😋

Definitely one of the best takeaways in the town.

Ordered a simple dish, chicken and lamb kebab with just some charred crispy onions and this is what I got. A large by the way, a few pieces of chicken and a few of lamb followed by what could only be described as something I wouldn't feed my bearded dragon spike. The chicken and lamb were probably fine as well... Didn't offer a replacement and merely said "what you want me to do?". Onions were swimming in grease. Cheers lads.

Ordered on just eat at 18.40 and delivery time given was 19.25. Telephoned at 19.40 to ask where delivery was and they said it was being bagged up and would be sent to us. Telephoned again at 20.10 to say again that it was being put into tubs and sent straight out to us. We did get it delivered at 20.25 the delivery person was really nice and apologetic about the delay, food was really good it was such a shame about the huge wait for it. Ive given one star for service reasons.

Have used this place for years and have always been good, but tonight I thought I'd have a "special" curry.... Chicken rogan josh.. Omg, never had such a poor meal from there..... Ever! Chicken was dry and chewy, plate was full of water sauce was bland and onions were horrible. Don't know why this is a "special " but won't be ordering again. So dissaponinted.

I am disappointed tonight as ordered on just eat. When food arrived chips were dry and I ordered a Mexican burger but all I received was a plain burger I went back on the menu to see the price difference and they don't even sell plain burgers. This is the 2nd time I have been disappointed unfortunately I won't be back

Usually we order from here as its the only place open late at night but tonight we were pleasantly surprised and they exceeded our expectations, we ordered a hoggie wrap and kids meal it was ten minutes before closing and we rushed to order and apparently left notes from our previous order asking for extra cheese, so were really happy getting such a great meal came very quickly as well so top marks all round :) amazing work from staff on shift tonight

Used this takeaway many times over the years and had good and bad meals. Got pizza that was poor quality last night. There are much better takeaways (sizzlers just up Road) so don’t take the chance of a disappointing night. I know I won’t anymore!

Sunday 5th August: Me and my girlfriend were excited all day for a takeaway as a treat. Ordered chips and curry sauce and a hogi wrap. Returned home to open the food up to see a disgusting pile of chips with dry orange curry sauce slapped on top. This tasted as bad as it looked. I opened up my hogi wrap which wasn’t even properly wrapped and all the contents of the wrap were everywhere. The donnar meat overwhelmed the 10 odd chips and no sign of cheese anywhere, that was the icing on the cake. I paid £14 for this plus a bottle of juice and I can gaurntee you I will never be back again. The place is disgusting and they don’t care one bit about the “food” they are selling to customers.

We phoned an order for delivery which we had to wait a long time for it to arrive eventually it did arrive but was the wrong order we then called to have this replaced to which we got asked if we could wait and have something given to us another time which we said no and asked for our original order to be delivered as we had already paid to which we were told yes we have now had to phone 40 mins later to now be told that we can’t have our order as the drivers are busy absolute joke and still have our money
