Made a Visit to this Shop lately ( Granted ) First Time in about 7 Years but can I just say it is Still the Same Owner , Food was Very Bland , It Would’ve been Nice to have been asked if I wanted Salt , Sauce & Maybe Salad with My Order But No I wasn’t, It took the Guy who was making Up the Pizza Base’s to Even Lift His Head , He Had a Little Boy Standing Next to Him who was Touching All the Base’s and then Another Miserable Member of Staff Came and Took My Order and 5 Mins Later Come and Put in My Hand Without a Thank You or Goodbye , Needless to Say it’ll be another 7 Years before I’m back if at all .

Best chicken kebab ever and I've tried a lot!

Lovely fresh tasting curry and amazing mince nan.

Best curry takeaway in Kirkcaldy by a mile! I get the same thing everytime, "chicken tikka celonese korma" and everytime it's exactly the same i.e. it's great and never dissapointing.

Total waste of time ordering from this place, I've actually lost count how many times i have placed an order on Just-eat and 5 minutes after the order was accepted it got cancelled, what's the point in accepting orders only to cancel it, try somewhere else folks absolute disgrace, please read other reviews and decide for yourself 👎 also might i add the owner doesn't ever bother to reply to disgruntled customers TOTAL SHAMBLES, by the way it's got a 3 star rating for a reason....STAY AWAY FOLKS.

Great staff and even greater curries, kebabs and more. Forget Amritsar along the road as you're only buying a name there. At Spice of life it's authentic and very high quality

Would not recommend, definitely avoid, F- Terrible service refused to exchange my order for the correct meal, DESPITE ALLERGIES! They had our money now so didnt care and were incredibly rude. I called an order in tonight repeated the order 3 times, then called back 5 min later to make it delivery as car wouldn't start and quoted them the order, yet it still arrived wrong. I literally begged them to come out and collect it for either replacement or refund, but he flat out refused as was now closing time, delivery drivers were gone and he was not going to bring it himself. He offered a small discount on my next order... as though £2 off next time would make up for paying £15 for something i cant eat tonight. I explained we cannot eat what they sent due to allergies so he recommended we pick it off, (my husband is highly allergic to peppers and chillies, seeds would remain if i picked them off as would juices) i explained i cant pick it off it will still have bits left behind so he hung up on me. I called back and explained again (nicely by the way, i was not shouting, swearing or rude in any way, and he hung up on me, again, 3rd time i called he said yes fine we will send it out n hung up on me... After a moment i thought how is he going to send it if there is no one to bring it, so i called again asking this and he said, yes i will give u a small discount on ur next order, now i was getting annoyed, he was trying to bully me into letting him keep the £15 while i get a minimal discount and now he had just tried to buy time so they would be closed when i realised no replacement was coming, I explained again we cannot eat this, a small discount is not good enough I will take a refund or the correct meal free next time, he refused and hung up AGAIN. He even had the audacity to say i wasn't helping him n was making it more difficult, strange that wanting what i've paid for ment I was being difficult, i dont know how i was supposed to help him when i am not even recieving the service i have as i say, already paid for! On the 5th call I was adamant refund or same meal free next time, he said fine will give me free n hung up... I called AGAIN to get the name of the person i spoke to; to ensure i got the free replacement next time n this is where i realised I wont actually be getting that order because i could hear him chuckle as he gave me a name, so its clearly not his name, when i asked is that ur real name he laughed n said yes, but we both new it wasnt. To be honest their food has gone right down hill the last couple years anyway, n the service has always been quite rude, we only go there these days when theres no where else n dont want to cook, so really dont mind not going back, but it does bug me i gave them £15 for nothing (I worked around 2 hours to pay for that meal n all i got out of it was food that would put my husband in hospital, attitude n empty agreements from the guy who sent it.

Delivered and lovely curry (chicken korma, fried rice, chicken pakora, chips and popadums). However, a piece of soft plastic was found in the chips.

A regular curry eater decided to give this place a try for the first time. Onion bhaji starter was like a dry, tasteless patty. Lamb tikka masala. Quite simply awful and worst I've ever tasted. 5 small pieces of the toughest lamb I've ever tasted, almost floating in a watery sauce with spicy flavour, but unlike any massala I've ever tasted before. Worst curry ever had. Would never waste my money there again. If you are a lover of curry this is NOT the place for you

Having had two previous occasions where our order has been nearly two hours late my husband suggested we try them again! Absolutely disgrace! Ordered via just eat at 5.45pm and after calling them at 7.15pm they said it was on its way, called back at 7.45pm to be told it had been delivered!! Not to this address it hasn't! Told it would be made fresh and resent... its now 8.09pm and we are still waiting! Absolute disgrace. Will not be using them again

Food was okay. Pizza didn't taste great at all ended up going in the bin and ordered 2 portions of chips and only received one and was charged for two portions of chips. I tried to ring but there was no answer.

Ordered at 16:50 arrived like this at 18:30 , writing this review as I await replacement pizzas at 19:35 . In short disgusting service equally disgusting management attitude. Have just phoned to ask where my replacement pizzas are only to be told they are very busy. I would avoid this establishment at any cost in future PS. Replacement pizzas were burnt. Thanks Spice of Life for ruining my niece's birthday party

Shocking. Wrong order delivered with 1 item missing and 1 item that wasn’t ordered. nobody could understand me. The driver dropped the bag on the way up the stairs. Not at all a good delivery service nor customer service. I do not recommend.

Shocking experience with these very very rude people. They sent the wrong order freezing cold then I had to endure abuse from the staff. Place needs shut down. Not the 1st time this has happened and been given abuse. Try listening to orders and sending them out when they're ready. JOKE!

Lovely food really tasty. Only bad point is I spend lots and they don't really do deals for me.

I have always been delighted with the quality of the food from the Spice of Life. Frequently order a set meal for 2. However tonight I ordered a selection of starters which were practically inedible. Veg pakora was ok if not a little dry. Chicken pakora looked like it had been recooked as batter crumbled and was so dry and tough we had to bin it! Tikka was ok but overcooked. Overall very poor experience on this occasion

Always excellent Chicken Pakora. Lamb Korma amd plain nan also excellent. Delivery of food is relatively rapid and efficient.

Utter garbage. If you want, just order it and pour down the toilet. As you just as well. I have no clue how this business still operates in 2021. I might send a sample to Public Health and see what they find. Good grief !

Creamy chicken tikka and garlic chilli chicken were excellent. Had been around 20 years since I last had a curry from here. I was not disappointed. Best curry I have had in Kirkcaldy for a long time.

Only gave 1 star as had no choice. Wouldnt rate this place at all. Food is vile and there customer service is even worse. Ordered from here last night food was cold and the pizza had no topping as was splatter all over the box and the pizza base was almost in a ball. When I phoned up the guy was rude and swearing and said to call back tonight for a free pizza. So I did to be sworn at over the phone and them demanding my son went in for the pizza (as was for him last night) he didn't like when I said no you will deliver my son is 11. I have waited 1hr 35 mins for the pizza to arrive that is literally burnt black and is stinking. hang your heads in shame spice of life yous are vile

Great meal delivered when promised

Again ordered a mixed wrap with chicken pakora and chips, it was hot and tastes amazing and it arrived on time as always. If you want great value for money then this is the place. Its worth the slightly expensive delivery charge xo

Placed a just eat order after I finished work. Order was accepted at 11.20pm to then get a text at 11.40 saying it had been cancelled!! Why even accept it in the first place?.

First time ordering from spice of life,food was amazing one of the best Indian takeaways we have had in a long time.would definitely order again and highly recommend.

Ordered 12 inch Deluxe munchie box tonight waited just under an hour , anyway my main point is it was half filled , no salad , usually ok.from here but this was a joke tonight , very very disappointing.

The last 3 time I've ordered from spice of life there has been a large portion of our meal missing. This is unacceptably now we cannot get through to the restaurant via phone to get it rectified!! Not happy. Wont be back any time soon!

I ordered lamb shish. The guy has put so much spices that I could nod distinct meat from salad and bread. Will not buy again.

Hi.we ordered a meal tonight for 4 people.Really disappointing at the chicken being served as part of the main meals!! Very much “savers chicken”!!! Can’t complain about the sauce that accompanys the dishes!!? Overall, it ruins the dish as you can taste the”cheapness” of the meat!!! Last time we ordered(approx a year ago) and had the same problem!! Phoned to complain and thought that our views would be looked at!! Disappointing!!! Phoned once again to complain and was offered a free takeaway nxt time!!! Would rather have a decent meal in the first place!!! Not worth the £27.45 paid tonight!!! Please read the reviews and take on board the complaints!!! Surely it’s in your interest!! Wont be using this takeaway nxt time and won’t recommend..

I am really surprised about the poor reviews for this take away. I used it regularly before moving to Spain almost 20 years ago and I found it to be consistently excellent food. I found myself in Kirkcaldy late one evening and hungry and decided to re-visit the place. Not having seen the staff for so long I did not expect to be greeted like a long lost brother, but I was. On their recommendation I had the chicken Masander and it was quite simply one of the best Indian meals I have ever had. Outstanding. It will not be 20 years until I go back.

Always had good food from here .Literally the only place in town that is consistent with quality and quantity. I always get the same thing and it has not changed one bit in years. Excellent food, fast delivery.

Placed a take away order and they decided to cancel. The cancellation came through late which meant that we had no opportunity to order elsewhere. Essentially ruined our night. If you want delivery, this restaurant is NOT to be relied upon.

Although the order came when stated, everything was cold soggy and one of the curries was tipped in the bag and a pot of spiced onions was burst over a potion of chips and a burger and chips. The pizza was so soggy, obviously everything had been chucked in the delivery car without any care and driven round Kirkcaldy for an hour. Never again

sent me the wrong thing and tried to say they didn’t, naan was freezing when it arrived on top of it being longer than expected. now awaiting correct food arriving. foreign person on the phone was very rude and hung up on me as I was still speaking.

Ordered at 6. Was confirmed for 6.50 it's now 7.50 and still not here

Having waited half an hour over our delivery time I called the restaurant. They didn't have my order apparently. I then had to get in touch with Just Eat as this was a £45 order for 4 of us. I then called the restaurant back after Just Eat had called them and all of a sudden they had my order. By the time we got out food it was about 10pm (placed order at 7.40pm) and the hunger had passed and we wasted most of the food so I would have been as well putting £45 down the drain. I got a complimentary 2ltr bottle of juice (not much compensation for a £45 order) oh and a £5 voucher from Just Eat (again not overly great for such a big order) will not use here again.

This is the 2nd time we have waited over an hour. There won't be a third time. Poor service.

food was good except ordered chicken tikka king naan kebab paid for sauce separate and got the sauce laggered over it. Half was wasted as 2 people were sharing, but rest of order was fine and delivery was quick

Unfortunately the pizza base did not taste right. The sauce & donner meat was good but the base itself was almost like eating bread. Next time I'll be looking at the reviews of a restaurant before I order.

Ordered the munchie box for my husband and I had the lamb tikka tandoori masala, my husband really enjoyed his and my lamb tikka was melt in the mouth, the masala sauce was gorgeous, topped up with garlic nann and pilau rice, a lovely meal, will definitely order again

forgot our juice but we ordered late. I can understand, others may not. the driver came back with the juice and brought two instead of one, not sure if it was off of his own back or not but he was great. pleasant, friendly and timely. good job all around, your driver deserves a raise

Food was tasty but only luke warm. Was missing the Garlic Naan. Late but 35 minutes. Would have preferred it to be late but hot. Wish they would say they are busy and give an honest delivery estimate.

The best spicey chicken pizza Ive had. Been everywhere else but they dont use spice or proper chicken in it. Pizza was really ram packed and delicious. As for the chilli suace it was delicious as well. I will defo be keeping to here to order my spicey chicken pizza.

Ordered a pizza at half 9 and said it would be delivered at 10.35, called spice of life at 10.50 and according to the man on the phone the machine keeps touching itself and didn't really seem to care. Now 11.10pm and still waiting! Safe to say won't be ordering from here again.

Good pizza and curry, not always consistent though must depend on who's cooking. sometimes it's very good, Other times it's average.

wont be ordering again! every single time i have ordered something yous have forgot something from the order! i dont spend my hard earned money for people to rip me off!! plus every time i call im promised it next time for free..... this place is a joke the only good thing is yous actually deliver on time ... i'll call again tomorrow as yous never answered but if no answer i'll be in the shop asking for a full refund as the amount of times i have been ripped off is ridiculous.
