Stay away from the ruby Chinese in rubery the food is disgusting chips like rubber chicken was cremated couldn't eat it there was no chicken left to eat disgusting food

I left a review about the ruby it was a bad review about the food and I see it's been took off I wouldn't use the place again

Worst food i have ever eat. Should be shut down. food had lots of oil what had a bad smell, taste was Vile the cashier cooked it ,not chef . the food is unfit to serve to customers ....

Pedí un pato asado en salsa de ciruela o cuando estaba terminado. repollo blanco con una porción de salsa de ciruela fría en un recipiente separado después de llamar para quejarse. Me aseguraron que así es como lo sirven cuando le pregunté por qué no dice esto en el menú. esto, así que me sorprendió mucho después de más de 25 años de hacer pedidos de diferentes cantoneses. ¿Siempre? ?

¡Lo he estado usando durante un par de años y la comida siempre es excelente! ¡Muchas opciones vegetarianas y tofu! ¡Las porciones son excelentes y el servicio siempre es maravilloso! Recomendamos los chips de sal y chile, ¡los mejores que hemos probado!

I had a delivery from here as it had a good recommendation from friends and family. I ordered curry and when it came I must say I wasnt disappointed the food was hot when it got to me and the curry was divine, somewhere else to go for a take away

Amazing every time. Chris is always so lovely and the food is spot on every time. The best Chinese in the area no doubt! Huge portions and always so tasty. The salt and pepper chips are delicious

We have struggled to find good Chinese /East Asian take away food locally so were looking for recommendations. Really pleased that we picked The Ruby, the reviews were very positive and reflected our experience. We hadn’t ordered ahead but were served quickly and the staff member was welcoming and friendly to other customers who seemed to be regular (always good to know people come back time and again!). A couple of other people were waiting who were also walk-ins but we only had to wait 5 to 10 minutes for our food. We went for the King Prawn Chow Mein, King Prawn with Mushrooms and King Prawns with Black Bean sauce plus boiled rice. Just over £21 in total for 2 adults and 2 children. All the meals were delicious and hot plus we got free prawn crackers and a lovely free 2020 calendar. Will definitely be back. Worth knowing this is a cash-only take away

Have used The Ruby many, many times and have always enjoyed the food. Generous portions, always hot, great flavour and helpful staff who will adjust meals on request

This is easily the best Chinese takeaway in the area having tried most of the others. Very friendly staff greet you and will offer advice if requested and you can then watch your food being prepared and cooked in full view. First class !

The Ruby Chinese Takeaway is by far the best in Rubery and I have takeaways delivered from here every weekend! Food is always hot and very tasty! Been using them for years and will only ever order from them .

Been going here for years and they have always served decent food, but recenlty that quality hasnt been that good. Best dish for me is the Chilli and garlic ribs. The Curry isnt that good and tastes a bit fruity.

This is the only place we order when having Chinese. Great place always busy, beautiful food. I’m a fan of the ribs in syrup xtra syrup please (nom). Friendly staff

I tried this as my local chinese cantoneze express. And its vile. No prawn crackers as i spent 21 not 25. Bland food n sweet n sour chicen vile. Chicken balls all brown n bruised inside. Dnt order

This is by far the best Chinese in the area. Excellent quality meat, tasty sauces and very authentic, Also - friendly staff who make an effort to get to know you and good service. Give this place a try if you are unsure.

we visited with friends for a birthday supper. The food was fine but the service terrible.We were fobbed off with a cramped table at the front of the restaurant where we were neglected to say the least. We ordered our starters and drinks which came without too much delay - not that we were wanting to rush but then we chatted and chatted having forgotten that our mains order hadn't been taken. We then had to find a server to come and take it - far from ideal. Then there was a ridiculous delay in the food coming by which time we were going off the idea! However they did apologise but I'm sure if we'd had a table in the main restaurant area we would have been able to catch the staff's eye when we needed to. The restaurant was busy but not manic so I feel that they should have been more on the ball - a pity.

A consistently good service, nice food and nice people, the overall delivery was on time and delivery is efficient. I would recommend the sweet and sour chicken.

Just love this takeaway best Chinese for miles. Can see it being cooked, always fresh. Just little moan no vegetarian option. 🤗

Favourite take out nearby. So friendly in there and food is so delicious and quite reasonably priced. Always prepared in good time, I recommend this to everyone!!
