Have eaten here a few times over the past few weeks and it has always been excellent. Last night I had the duck croquettes and garlic & chilli chicken with pilau rice, it was delicious. Excellent service too.

A pleasant surprise. Food was lovely, hot and well presented. Proper nice coffee. Restaurant spotless and attractive inside. Kids enjoyed the play area outside. Lots of parking. Will definitely be back to try again. Not cheap but not expensive either.

Food is outstanding, chef really is Michelin* quality. best meal in a long time. Do not understand why so few diners! Such a great restaurant on our doorstep - with parking outside!! Pity not more people there!!

Stopped in here on a recommendation and I must say the food is brilliant. I got the seafood linguine and it was delicious. My wife loved the Chicken Stack and the children were very happy with their food. Plates cleared!

Had lunch and a few pints of cider on a Saturday afternoon. Football on the tv which kept us staying a couple of drinks more than intended. Food was lovely and filling. Waiting staff and bar staff very friendly and efficient. First time but will definitely be back.

Quelle soirée ! Elle a commencé par une recherche du restaurant le plus près de notre logement sur internet, c'est comme ça que nous avons trouvé The Railway Bar. Nous avons ainsi débuté notre soirée par un repas dans la partie restaurant. La nourriture était très bonne et bien servie! Le serveur nous a fait part de à sa surprise de voir des touristes dans son restaurant. Il a beaucoup discuté avec nous et était éminemment sympathique. Après le repas, nous avons décidé d'aller boire un verre dans le bar jouxtant le restaurant. L'ambiance musicale et festive était au rendez-vous ! Nous avons été accueilli à bras ouvert (au sens propre, comme au sens figuré) par une bande de joyeux Nord-Irlandais, qui semblaient très heureux (et surpris) de nous voir ! Super endroit, superbe ambiance, je recommande vivement !

We came for the Halt Tapas night and were left really disappointed. Chicken wings were tasteless, goats cheese fritters were cold and everything else looked and tasted like it had been brought in and not homemade. We’d have been better off spending our money on an M&S meal deal at home! Lady who was serving us was lovely, so friendly and welcoming.

Sun roast would t miss it love love love

My wife and and I went out for an anniversary lunch. We had the stacked chicken and the daily special of a surf and turf. Not just sreak and king prawns but mussels and lobster. We don't eat out often so this dish was a splash and I'm a little fussy about my steak but I can't complement the chef any more. It was the perfect steak well seasoned perfectly cooked and balanced perfectly with the seafood. I've not had better even from steak houses. Not only that but my wife's meal had perfectly cooked chicken smooth mash and a lovely pepper sauce. Given the World we live in now. People want value for money but even at this price point it well worth spashing out because I felt it was a bargain for what we paid given the quality of the food. Oh flip, I've not mentioned the staff! They were amazing friendly, helpful and made this a extremely nice, escape from the kids, meal out.

The menu stated sirloin wit shallots and wine jus n chips came out burnt with frozen skinny chips n two soggy onion rings n a tomato slipped on top off off a oil soaked mushroom.. I hate pepper sauce..... surf n turf was fired on the plate ....pathetic first n absolute last..

Went to Maloneys today, food was amazing had Chilly Beef to start and pan-fried Hake as a main, would recommend highly. Food excellent and staff can't do enough to make your experience a positive one.

First time today for lunch in the Halt at Maloney’s and was really impressed. Nice surroundings and friendly helpful waitress. Service was excellent, great varied menu to suit any taste and first class, delicious well presented food with good portions. We’ll definitely be back again and would certainly recommend!

Fantastic bar. Unfortunately didn't get to eat but the food looked great and heard they have a brilliant chef. Friendly staff, good wee sense of local community about the place, great pints and definitely worth a visit.

We were greeted at the door to check our covid passport , shown to our table by a remarkably pleasant young man who then came back to take our drinks order while we looked over the menu. The drinks came and we ordered our food. The meal was absolutely fantastic and plentiful for everyone. The staff could not do enough for us and we promised to be back very soon. This place is well worth dining out and you should all give it a try..👍👍👍

called into the halt restaurant at Malonys to night for an off the cuff meal. haven’t been in over ten years. have to say we were very pleasantly surprised. i had one of the specials the tai seafood curry. it was amazingly tasty. my partner had the seafood linguine also off the specials menu and again it was faultless. we will defiantly be back.

Food and service was excellent. I will definitely return and would not hesitate to recommend to anyone.

Food was ok, service was ok, music was less ambience and more noise, far too loud for me and not my thing, an orchestra playing xmas songs, dont get me wrong the xmas music im ok with but not the orchestra, far too loud.

Friendly staff and great food they accomodated dietary special needs e.g vegan and coaliac in our funeral party would fully recommend eating there.

Fabulous food and fantastic staff!! The chef is amazing and I had the best chicken with salt and chilli chicken that wasn’t on the menu but the fantastic chef sorted it. Looking forward to going back !!

Went for meal tonight and was really impressed with the food. We were served by a lovely helpful lady Mags who was able to explain what the seafood special was like for our main. The food and service was excellent and I would recommend to anyone.

Unplanned visit. Excellent varied menu. Had the special of that day .... Thai seafood red curry. Beautiful flavour. Right balance of salt, sour, sweet, hot. Also nice surprise of an oyster in the midst of the bowl if flavour. Friendly staff & good service. I'll be back.

Great day out staff fantastic was visiting war years remembered museum in Ballyclare problem with the bus Gary and staff and some of his regular customers came to the rescue and transported 20 of us to the museum would recommend Maloneys

Have been here twice lately +both times waited so long for the food to come was near ready to walk out and one was only a toastie...got scrambled egg which was horrible +obviously done in the microwave was so dry.. fella behind the counter just kept staring dwn constantly which was irritating to say the least..the toastie was minimaly toasted..was basically a sandwich..will def not be bk in again..very disappointing 👎

Went here today for lunch. Food was just ok. Ordered cod, chips and peas, which was quite nice. Had banofee pie for dessert, no bananas in it except for 2 slices set on top of it. Had hardly finished when lady came with bill. No customer services whatsoever, didnt smile once, there was just no atmosphere. There was an awful lingering smell in the lounge, not sure what it was, the worst was the table, glasses and cutlery, they were dirty and sticky. The whole place needs a real good face lift , pleasant staff - and a good dish washer. Its safe to say i wont be back....!
