Popped in for a swift one after hearing about this pub. It’s rough and ready but not edgy at all when I went in. Very friendly locals and fella behind the bar too. If he’s not behind the bar a local will likely serve you which is great. Very welcoming. It gets a lot of match day trade with it being near the Stockport county ground who are doing well at the moment. It’s cash only and Guinness from a can. It’s a throwback old school pub that won’t suit some tastes but i knew what I was expecting and enjoyed it. The gents toilets are funny. A bit like that Saw film where you’d wake up after being drugged and have to escape but ultimately meet a grizzly end. Highly recommended if you fancy a rough and ready but friendly old boozer. Cash only🍻 💷

To many people think they are landlord but never see real landlords

Customer service is poor, there are far better pubs in the local area to try where staff are much more attentive and friendlier.

To be fair, this place is as bad as its reputation, and the building genuinely looks like it’s derelict which probably isn’t a good thing… but Ye Olde Vic is similar … also I’ve never been sold a 440ml can of Guinness in a pub before. Very cheeky really so hopefully other people will know what they’re in for with that one, and it’s cash only…

The Pineapple is my best pub, All the staff and regulars are brilliant and love salt of the earth people, i have always been made welcome everytime i am in there.

Amazing pub, Love going in on match days. Beers are always top tier in Copra glasses. Toilets are always clean and tidy. Great Atmosphere. Loz and Sam on the bar are very welcoming. Beer garden is spacious with plenty of Wheelie bins for Empties. Love Being able to bring our chunky chicken in before our taxi home! Can’t recommend this pub enough👏🏼

Went in there for the first time tonight. Lived in edgeley for like 6 years. Was not what I was expecting. Very nice pub, decent beer and good prices 👍. Had fun in there tonight. Everyone was friendly. So all good

None of that gastropub nonsense here.

Was told to avoid by a few locals, which laid the gauntlet to the best pub in Stockport. This pub takes spit and sawdust to another level. Great pub, friendly punters. If you want to visit a proper pub, then scrub going to the other local boozers - come here.

Not the classiest pub but the landlord Loz is a great character great laugh and his partner Sam keeps an eye on things.Always a decent pint and a good laugh full of characters and crackpots.Prices OK worth a visit

Very basic pub but great atmosphere.

Good fair Landlord. Brilliant characters. Good entertainment on a Sunday and Monday Club. Well worth a visit
