The Old Bakery in Isle of Anglesey

We ordered our food online and collected it . There are not enough words to describe how inedible the meals were . We ordered four burgers and one portion of onion rings. The only thing our whole family ate was the portion of onion rings . The beef burger was so overcooked that I was able to snap it in half . The chips were revolting bits of over fried chip remnants. The four boxes of food costing over £50 went in the bin uneaten . I contacted the owner who initially told me to retrieve the boxes and bring them to the take away the following Friday ….7 days later !! She was not available until then . I then received a subsequent text to tell me not to retrieve the boxes as they were now ‘contaminated’ . I was offered one free meal the following week . No thank you . Don’t waste your time, money or effort . Disgusting food and dreadful customer service .

Awful food, burgers just tasted burnt, garlic bread was missing, plain wings given instead of salt and pepper, food was cold, the wings were pink, we threw most of it in the bin! When I informed the company, they offered me 1 free meal the following week! What about the fact I did not receive items I paid for never mind inedible food!

Sunday 13Sep22. 1930hrs (Our Anniversary). Having ordered via Just Eat, paid via PP, awaited restaurant to accept order. Never responded on Internet. Tried to contact by landline, no answer, left message giving our mobile number and allocated meal order number, checked their website, stated open? No response from The Old Bakery then or upto now. Just Eat responded the day after apologising and offering 20% discount on our next Just Eat order.

Had our first meals from The Old Bakery yesterday. My wife had the spicy Buffalo Chicken Burger and I had the Wagyu Burger. Both were fantastic and would highly recommend.

Great food, good choice of burger styles and chicken and other meats, Halloumi option too. I absolutely love the corn and the fries are great too and loads of them, which is a help with our family, lovely coleslaw. Can order online if on phone and have it delivered or can collect, have tried both and always top service! These guys do really try and it’s nice to see a family business grow and thrive.

After reading the reviews on here and Facebook, thought I would give it a try. Loved the eco packaging but disappointed with the burgers. Thank heavens for the sauce and cheese or it would have been too dry. The fries were novel but overcooked due to the size of them. Also not really sure why a takeaway adds a compulsory service charge. Never come across this. Won't be going back in a hurry.

This is now my regular takeaway. Lovely food. I love the small crispy chips but accept not everyone does. But they are real chips!! I had the drunken chicken it was great. Customer service is fab for a takeaway and they deliver love the packaging as well. It is a refreshing change from Chinese Indian or kebab. It is proper food cooked fresh

After hearing many good reviews about The Old Bakery from close friends, we placed an order as our “family take out” night. This consisted of 6 meals out for delivery. Although I can not complain about the arrival of the delivery upon opening my meal box the state of the “fries” that come with the meals were absolutely disappointing. They felt and looked like they had been scraps out of the fryer being saturated in oil and looked like they had been left aside all night. I do not know how these fries could be sent out as a meal with pride! They were all overcooked! I maybe thought I could have been the unlucky one and checked everyone else’s food which was warm at best and to further disappointment every single meal paired with fries were in the same state. Very disappointing experience with this take out especially after paying £70 odd in total, will I return? Unlikely.

First time order Food was absolutely delicious, Affordable but really tasty. Eco friendly packaging brilliant Was a slight problem (not food) through no fault of the old bakery, it was dealt with straight away. hiccups will happen, but the professionalism and sincerity and the fast response speaks volumes. Great communication from mark, fantastic Customer service , almost as fantastic as the food. Highly recommend to anyone. Thank you for a brilliant meal and looking after a now new loyal customer

Had expected an enjoyable take out meal on the basis of previous reviews but were disappointed. Setting aside the fact that the order was ready 25 minutes later than the allocated time we had booked, the food itself was not good. The burger was burnt and mostly inedible and the fries were an odd mixture of nicely cooked tasty fries and really old overcooked skin on fries which were way past their best. The steak sandwich was lacking in amount of steak and poorly cooked. Can accept that everywhere can have an ‘off’ day and perhaps we were just unfortunate but won’t be returning

So disappointing! Could have been lovely! I booked my meals online at 17:52 for collection at 18:50. I got there to be told that my order wasn’t ready and that they had no idea when it would be ready so could I come back as it had been really busy with orders, really? I’d been allocated a collection time by them online! I asked when I was supposed to return to then be told it would be 15 minutes give or take 5 minutes or I could opt to have my money back. I returned at 19:10 and the lady at the reception asked the kitchen if my order was ready, I heard someone say that they’d packed it ages ago! I was handed my meals and made my way home, I had a bad feeling about this. Got home (which is literally a two minute drive), the food was warm at best so I suspect it was ready when I initially called for it and it had been overlooked, the shame is it was tasty even though it was cold! Could have been such a better experience, livid! Will I return? Never…

Was recommended to come here..not disappointed great food easy to order on line too, huge portions. Will go again

We have visited here multiple times and never ever been disappointed food is absolutely lovely, plenty of variety on the menu,very reasonable prices and generous portion sizes. Highly recommend a visit here I can’t wait to try the new donuts on the menu on our next visit 😊

Ordered food to be delivered. Food was delicious, delivery was perfect. Great selection of mains. Food was hot when it arrived and had been able to select our time earlier in the day. Making my holiday nicer.
