The food is really nice . Mac n cheese curry mutton was delicious.

Hi. Guys have only moved in since November and have used your pub most afternoons an and possibly every evening . As a polite and respectful person was very disappointed to be barred from your establishment. I have always had the most respect and always asked the far staff if they would like a drink after an incident that was nothing to do with me I have found myself not welcome anymore. Alleged cctv shows me being hostile and abusive towards a member of staff which at the time I’m was semi involved with. I had no idea what was going on and why i was was being accused of this. I enjoy using your pub and have made a lot of new friends and business associates. If the footage of me speeding to the member of staff is that harsh then it should have gone to the police. But to then be accused. Of possessing a multitude of fire arms and countless drugs I find extremely offensive , and my barristers thoughts is actually slanderous. This is a lovely venue! Aesthetically pleasing, lovely friendly and helpful staff. They have a new catering company who provide the most tasty dishes! Jamaican flavours infused into light dishes. It works well! A suggestion - have a gluten free option for buns,wraps and deserts. The catering staff are very pleasant and they offer an excellent customer service. The food is served in a timely fashion and is good value for money!

Took my husband here for Fathers Day. The catering team from Moore Taste were on point. Lots of food to choose from with exceptional flavours!!! no limit to portions hence needed a sleep when I got home as I tried everything 🤣. Will return again !!

The food is so bad and they charge so much for it🤦🏻‍♂️ and was so cold inside with how much they charge for nothing they can’t afford to turn on the heating.

I went see a live band here. The atmosphere was buzzing. They frequently have live music on, and it works well. Great decor clean and modern toilets.

This place has had a serious makeover, which has paid off. Great pub and atmosphere. Have returned twice because of this.

I'm here chef . Food it's every time fresh! We never make anything before order coming. So always fresh cut even vegetables and meat as well serve.

This is our local pub, I believe its independent the staff are so friendly and it's got lovely interior. Great range of drinks and they also have live music!

Never eat a chicken so dry and hard before🤦‍♂️, not very good lunch at all, after we give the feedback of the food to the waiter, they quickly brought the bill without been asked for, terrible service, not going back for sure.

Good food at a reasonable price

A perfect modern pub, always bustling with locals, loads of space, great food, great choice of drink on tap, loads of screens for the footy and a maintained pool table. Always a friendly atmosphere, great for watching the match too. Not the cheapest pint though.

Went here for after school drinks and meal as someone was leaving. We were given the function room which was perfect for our group. The lady behind the bar was brilliant. She answered lots of questions and changed my drink for me. The food was very good and the service was excellent. Would definitely go there again .

We went as a family of 4 for a special occasion and it was so disappointing. The service was so slow and the food was bland and tasteless. They forgot to bring some of the order. I was chasing them up for this and for extra plates and and had to keep going to the bar myself as there were no staff in the eating area. The waiter looked about 12 and had absolutely zero customer service skills. The decor was sad and miserable too.

Yeah a great pub/venue😃🤙 The food is good, plus decent live bands. I did prefer the Indian and Mexican food in the past but grilled chicken always a winner. Friendly staff and a good atmosphere👍

Great venue. They are Ill prepared for groups entertainment. They just want to pack in as many people as they possibly can. It took me 15 mins to get through the crowd pack in for the group, to get to the toilet & back again. Our friends left early as the was a 30 min wait to get served at bar. Shame, coz spoilt a good evening.

A chicken sensation (supposedly), called Bird Boi started serving food from here from around February time. My daughters booked this for Mothers Day, and we ordered the Seafood Boil and Chicken Boil, and i have to say it was the most disgusting thing i have ever eaten. The Seafood boil was awful, the calamari was like lots of elastic bands thrown over the food, they were rubbery and tasteless. The shellfish were tiny and again tasteless. The seasoning was non existent, just this oily mess in a bowl to pour over that made us feel sick. The Chicken Boil, was well cooked chicken, but again, no flavour at all. Both dishes were £25 each, and i felt terrible for my daughters having to pay for this rubbish. I cannot understand how a pub that has had a recent transformation of nearly half a million pound can allow this crap food to be a flagship of their establishment. I have been in this pub numerous times since and even though the waitresses are walking by with food, you cannot smell food, which is really strange. A friend of mine had a burger and he said it resembled eating spaghetti, it was messy, and disgusting. I strongly recommend that no one bothers to waste their money on this food. La Flamme across the road is 1000% better than this food. It is such a shame as a lot of people i know dont like the pub experience of this place anymore due to the crowd it is bringing in for their "bad boi chicken". It is tacky, tasteless, and truly awful.

Visited on Wednesday 21st December at 4.50pm. Ordered drinks and after reading menu, ordered food. Told couldn’t have pizzas as too busy??? Where? Ordered 3 steak Philly sandwiches ( basically) chips, nachos and a starter. Told a 30 minute wait, however that was actually 50 minutes and only my steak arrived with bowl of chips and cold nachos. After 10 minutes we asked what had happened to the rest of the order for my 2 daughters? The “waiter” looked puzzled, the starter arrived and we asked for the nachos to be warmed up. It was now an hour and l had half eaten my food so a manager was called. Her attitude left a lot to be desired, not once did she say “sorry”. By now we had spent over £30 on drinks but l decided she was having no more of our money, so pushed the remains of my sandwich to her and asked for our money back, which we got. That, my friend is the way to treat the locals and build up your business!

I used to like this place, but the service has gone downhill. When certain bookings were made and confirmed by management and then when we arrived, we were told they had double booked. Absolute terrible service again. We booked a booth a month in advance which was confirmed, when we got there we were told we had to sit in the function room, once we sat there the lights were out for approx 15-20 minutes so we sat in the dark. Certain dishes ordered were not edible. This is the 3rd time we have has an issue with booking a table and have been moved else where even after getting confirmation it was all booked.

On many occasions I have booked a booth at the mount, as I’ve arrived I’ve been told that we’ve been seated else where. Poor management at the mount tavern. Do better!!! We had evidence to say our seating had been confirmed and booked Now sat in the function room and the lighting has gone off, it’s been off for approximately 20 minutes.

Shocking from start to finish, definitely not a food pub. If you like a pub with wall to wall TVs for sport with no personality this is for you. After the debacle ordering food, each dish arrived one at a time wrong and therefore we ended up eating cold food, chips were undercooked, and nothing comes with sides, chips were £2 extra with burgers for 5 chips. The £7 loaded fries were undercooked and inedible, overall paying £70 plus for questionable Mexican food was highly annoying. There was no one eating there at tea time, which should have said a lot. Just Eat took priority over in house diners. The poor waiting and bar staff had to apologise for the low quality food the chef produced, we were offered a round of free drinks , but a full refund would have saved this this delightful review...honestly, don't bother 🤮

Excellent! We visited this venue on the 16th August 2022 for my birthday lunch and was very impressed. Venue; The Mount Tavern has recently undergone refurbishment the result of which is a beautiful and tastefully decorated interior. Staff: Each member of staff were very welcoming, very accomodating and were so lovely. Service: The service was excellent! Once ordered, our food was served in a timely manner with a smile and pleasant conversation. Food : Beautifully presented food which was delicious plentiful and excellent value for money. Overall I had a lovely birthday treat and would definitely return. Thanks to Russell, Rueben, Ray and lady whose smile I keep commenting on:-)

Following a recent refurbishment the place is now much cleaner and much more vibrant than past years.

Terrable food its a scam paid £11 for chicken tacos and thay was the worst tacos i have ever had more like raps really needs to sort its food out and beer is over priced will not be going back again

Had high expectations following the refurbishment but was very disappointed!! Service was poor, food was bland and atmosphere terrible!!!! Not what we were hoping for!!!! Thought we’d try the Tacos as Mexican was supposed to be a specialty….they weren’t tacos….they were soggy tortillas with awful chicken and sauce dumped on top!!!! Certainly won’t be returning!!!!

Best (large size) Sunday roast I've had in ages, staff friendly ( Callum) and welcoming locals. Thank you for looking after my wheelchair mom Polly and I moving from outside to inside ,leaving mess trail everywhere .Your attitude was great. Authentic Mexican food at its best! 😋 If you love Mexican food and great beer/service then look no further. The tacos, nachos and rice were all delicious and tasted exactly like the food we ate in authentic restaurants in Mexico, the chef Rae is from Mexico and it shows in the cooking, the flavours are delicious. On top of that the staff are so welcoming and service great tasting beer, what more could you want? Go and try this place if you haven’t already, you don’t regret it. Thanks to all the staff for a great night for our anniversary, we loved it and will be back very soon x

Went here, wasn't drinking so can't comment on the alcohol. Staff were friendly and accommodating. Orderd some food and the food was beautiful, very nice indeed. Freshly made food and cooked well.

Visited this pub, met with miserable bar staff they would not engage in conversation nor smiled alot. Had drinks & decided to eat , asked for menu, very limited items , mexican was the theme.. ordered it , when it arrived chips were over cooked with rosemary on , no breads on offer , the beef & chilli warmish & nachoes were okish, the server did not smile cutlery had seen better days . Overall they need to change the menu as an urgent & staff need to get personalities, smile.

Visited The Mount Tavern Pub yesterday, my family and I booked 3 tables seating 6 to a table in the garden observing social distancing. Our gathering could be losely described as a 'wake'. Russell and Melissa were hugely accommodating, attentative and sensitive to our needs. I would highly recommend this pub.

If your after a traditional Sunday roast, nothing pretentious, just good food on your plate then look no further. Best Sunday roast I've had in ages, staff friendly and welcoming, and the food like I said look no further, as it was spot on. Fantastic, keep it up guy's. See u soon 👌😋

We have been in this great place 2 times only lately. First had only a burger but was so nicely done we thought we will come back again.😊 We hade a pleasant surprise been treated so kindly felt we were special. Been offered a very delightful Sunday roast for a really pleasant price. Good laid-back atmosphere. TV screens for football. Very good food. Reasonable food prices. Bit loud when football on with crowds. When families is a great place. No food on Sundays until evening though which is a disadvantage. Free Wi Fi. Recommend thoroughly. Beer garden in Summer. Bad language and rowdy in pub at times. Owners should rein customers in a bit. They don't appear to at times.
