The Italo's in Islington

Nos alojamos en un piso cercano durante un par de semanas y nos encontramos con este encantador restaurante. La pasta era excelente, mi esposa tenía el salmón y estaba muy bueno. Volveremos a probar la pizza, hacen una corteza especial de masa madre. Los precios del vino son razonables, el restaurante es acogedor y el servicio es amable.

Peu mieux faire est mon sentiment à lissue de ce repas. Belle décoration de la salle et belles tables, par contre vaisselle quelquonque. Belle carte. Quantité de Gnocchi ridicule (6) pour 22£. Assiette de pâtes copieuses. Pizzas de taille moyenne. La cuisine était bonne. Pas de présentation des assiettes. Serveuse très gentille, mais pas d'anticipation. Pas de carte des desserts (liste donnée à l'oral). Goût du tiramisu bizarre (mais c'est peut-être le goût préféré des anglais ?)

No me gustan estos ‘cargos de servicio’ ocultos que se agregan a las facturas en tantos lugares ahora. Si creo que en algún lugar merece una propina, con gusto la pagaré, pero no creo que exigir una sea de buenos modales. Preciosa comida y servicio en una buena ubicación para visitar el teatro cercano. También podría utilizar más baños como uno para el restaurante podría ser un problema si estaba ocupado.

Met buy uninterested staff, with little or no knowledge of the menu, poor attention, no idea who had ordered what, kitchen had to be reminded of order as part of the 11 orders arrived. Then £32.87 service charge. Food when it arrived was fine and tasty. It’s the management at fault ,the staff were pleasant if completely out of their depth.

Ottima pizza, a un ottimo prezzo. Se hai nostalgia di casa qui trovi ciò di cui hai bisogno. La pasta è leggermente grassa ma gli ingredienti di ottima qualità.

Looked promising, but didn't deliver. Visited around 7.30pm. Looked inviting. Staff polite. However, that's where the positive aspects end. We ordered two portions of garlic bread and two portions of lasagne and a 750ml bottle of water. We were served garlic bread minus any garlic (but we ate it as we were so hungry, but it was just toasted bread). The lasagne had hardly any meat in it at all and was just layers of pasta. The 750ml bottle of water was 500mls but we were charged for 750mls. Also, hygiene was really lacking. Noted the tables when being cleared were being cleaned with Windowlene which has no antibacterial properties. The toilets had overflowing little bins for sanitary products that had no bin liners in. The main big bin was full. There were empty toilet rolls on the floor and the floor was covered in big bundles of hair, the type that collects over time and not just on a daily basis. We won't be returning.

Went for pre-theatre dinner. They said on arrival the kitchen was busy, and there would be a wait, which was helpful. Service was somewhat chaotic but the pizzas were amazing, and they must have a wood fired stove but they make no mention of it. For west end food it's quite reasonable.

Wij waren bij The Italo’s Piccadilly. Sfeerloos restaurant, erg goedkoop ingericht. Slechte bediening, personeel spreekt slecht Engels. Voorgerecht was prima. Hoofdgerecht pizza carbonara was niet lekker. Het was meer een brood met kaas. Het had heel weinig spek. Kaas was een stuk rubber. Smaakloos. En dan rekenen ze wel veel fooi wat je moet betalen. Dat verdienen ze niet, sorry.

We needed a mid-afternoon break from our sightseeing in the neighborhood and were lucky to see the sign for The Italos. Although we only ordered a coffee and apple juice, the service was very good. The food on the menu looked tempting. If we ever return to this neighborhood, we'll definitely order a full meal. The restaurant looks very nice inside and is located near the Angel tube stop (Northern Line).

Everything about this restaurant is worth the 5 stars: the ambience; service (Lafifa in particular is so personable and was so helpful); the quality of the food; the prices. The Fegato alla Veneziano was prepared perfectly, and my partner’s Petto di pollo alla Boscaiolo was equally impressive. The owner is Venetian, and the chef is Italian. They know what they’re doing! To have a true Venetian restaurant in London - cicchetti, too! - is a treat. We definitely will return, and soon. I’m looking forward to the tiramisu!!

Found this place on line, looking for somewhere to eat before going to Sadlers Wells theatre. It's a lovely wee place and the food was delicious. Would definitely recommend.

Visited the place while on holidays, very nice atmosphere and friendly staff. Ordered a pizza and some pastas, usually I'm not a fan of Italian food but this was very good. Would recommend.

Very nice food , specially Pizza was fabulous and tasty, the best pizza of Islington, also the service was very good!

The pizza is fine (no better than fine) but the service is truly atrocious- slow and confused. The table next to us who were ordering when we arrived only began to be served any food (not what they had ordered) as we were leaving.
