A good coffee with amazing cakes, so the basics are all good. The issue is that it is not very cosy. It needs a log burner as a focal point- something to make the cafe a lovely place to visit on a cold dreary day. If it did this, I would give it 5 stars

Awesome coffee here, I always look out for dark woods. They have the retail bags available too and some nice chutneys and jams

Amazing little coffee shop, great choice of cakes which change daily. Fab range or drinks, I can recommended the Chai latte! Added bonus of house plants for sale, what a perfect combo.

Range of goodies is always changing to keep things interesting! 😋 they also have toys and books to keep the little ones entertained whilst we’re there and we go see Gary and the gang on our way home 🐐 🦙 🐐

Called in today for takeaway cake 🎂,the hideout was very nice , spacious, and light , clean and plenty of seating a small children's area with seats and books ,plenty of cakes and snacks ,coffees, tea, etc plenty of car parking outside, we bought a selection of cakes (a few nice choices to choose from ) to take home , (next visit we will sit in) 😀 staff polite , we asked if the cakes we wanted had any nuts in due to allergies and the staff checked immediately for us (all good to go ) also do vegan so something for everyone . We will defiantly be back .

What a lovely place to visit for a coffee and cake. You can even pick up some fresh eggs while you are there. The main room is airy and light with a mixture of seating. Plenty of room between the tables to allow for wheel chairs or push chairs. There is an area with a few toys for young visitors and a bookcase with a selection of books for those who would like to relax, have a coffee and read on one of the sofas. The toilets are clean and easy to access. The atmosphere is very friendly and you are offered a loyalty card. I have already filled mine and I am looking forward to a free drink on my next visit. A super addition to the area.

What a find ! “ The Hideout” at New Farnley. Gourmet coffee served in a friendly and spacious location alongside tempting cakes. Really great staff that are happy to help and the building is child and disabled friendly also. An added bonus was the wonderfully fresh, home produced, free range eggs that we purchased to take with us along with extra cake! A real taste of the countryside on the outskirts of Leeds. A unique experience for a “let’s pop out for a coffee” . We will certainly be back for more of that great tasting coffee etc. when in the area again, highly recommended.

The first time I had Pizza Freaks, I was enamoured. Lots of toppings, perfectly cooked, delicious and fresh pizza. The second time though, I don't know why, but it was gritty - almost like it had been sat on some fine sand, and I found white fuzzy bits, like it had brushed against a piece of clothing. I didn't finish the pizza the first night, thinking I'd just had a glass of wine too many, but when I tried it again the next day, it was just as gritty - not my imagination. Not sure if this is from what it was cooked on, but I didn't have that grit the first time around...
