The Happy Villa Restaurant in Ballymena

TAKE AWAY I had placed an order yesterday at 6.21pm for 5 portions of salted chilli chicken and chips, 2 tubs sweet & sour sauce and 2 tubs curry sauce. The meals were inedible…..we’ve been customers of yours for years and never had a bad meal. The chips were really greasy and soggy and the salted chilli was so greasy. Very disappointing but to make matters worse, when I phoned to complain I was told as it was so long since ordering there was nothing you cud do and that I should have brought the meal back for a replacement. I live 8.5 miles away(17mile trip) from ur take away. Could you expect me to travel this distance? That’s not reasonable. Also we had friends visiting and it would not have been appropriate to phone while they were with us. I phoned as soon as they left. This appalling customer service has left us questioning whether we will ever be back in Happy Villa and we will definitely not be recommending you to anyone. worst customer service ever.

Food seems to be all ready made, cold by the time you get it to Ahoghill, had noodles -and some of them were burnt to a crisp all stuck together, fried rice is the same. Forgot part of our order and when we phoned down we were told it was our fault for not listening to what the staff called out, even though the staff didn’t call out the whole order called out part of it and said that’s yours, they did tell us it was ordered and paid for but weren’t going to give us the missing the food they had forgot to bag up for some unknown reason, customer service was appalling, not from counter staff but from owner or manager I’m not quite sure who he is. I’d expect better for the price too. Never used to have an issue with here, always used to be great food, used to be roasting by the time you got it home and customer service was always fab even if there was something forgotten was always sorted on the phone or was added on free of charge the next time we made a order. Haven’t and won’t be back.

Worst Chinese takeaway I’ve had in ages, sliced ‘fillet’ steak in black pepper sauce… absolutely tasteless! It’s been years since I’ve tried this place and now I know why!

Good sized portions of delicious Chinese food full of flavour. Our two classic meals came well packed so they got home intact and hot and we also were given some prawn crackers. All you want really.

This is our almost local, and its our favourite. It has all the classical dishes you'd expect and everything is lovely!

Just the take away open now. Restaurant closed some time ago. It's good value for money. The curry is a favourite. Lunch time they do a lunch box for 5.50, comes with a can of soft drink. Service is usually very quick

Got three meals here tonight one of which was chicken chow mein and it was obvious the onions which were blackened were heated up from the day before and the noodles were practically cold. Last visit here, used to be very good.

Myself and my family always get out of this chinese and have for years. We take away the food. Food is yummy, well priced and we have never had any problems. I would definitely recommend the honey chilli chicken, sweet and sour chicken, or bbq pork. The spring rolls are yummy too.

Sadly this Chinese is failing to meet their previous standards. The meat we received here was significantly undercooked. Unhappy.
