You can taste super yummy Sri Lankan foods from Exchange pub. We loved the shovel seafood experience. The service of the staff is superb. Had a chance to enjoy the delicious foods. Sometimes they do have DJs as well as duo singing. You Must try the shovel❤️

Atmosphere would be better at a different time. We were a bit early. Lovely food, unique dishes.

Gone there with the family for lunch. We went following a social media recommendation for the "shovel" and we could have not been more disappointed. We ordered both shovels, the seafood and the mixed meats. The quantity seemed reasonable for two people, but the quality was far of being great. Both shovels came lukewarm and cooled down very quick. I tried the meat shovel and it was nothing to write home abut. Most of the pieces I tried were chewy and cold. My kids said the meatballs and sausages were OK. The feedback from those who tried the seafood was that it didn't taste very fresh. I may be back, but definitely to try different dishes. The service was OK, with the staff very polite and the place looks great.

The seafood shovel is a special treat. Great flavour and super fresh. Get your fingers dirty! Will need to come back to try the meat one. Bar has great casual vibe. Came on a football so it’s quite empty. Like that they don’t blast the music too loud. Great for chats. Come before they inadvertently ups the price as all things go.

Walked in was told we couldn't sit up stairs due to a staff meeting despite the place being empty. It was cold, service was awful greeted by a very unfriendly Manor and the food came, one meal was average the burger was cold when I said it was cold I was made to feel like it was my problem and they were reluctant to sort the issue. Won't return.. nice building but that's the only appealing thing. Half the draft options were unavailable also. No apology and rude when we asked for the bill.

These arancini are like little cheesy bites of heaven. The outside is golden and crispy, and the inside is creamy and delicious risotto.

These fries are so crispy and delicious! They're a fun twist on regular fries with a tangy kick that you just have to try. I couldn't stop eating them.

This soup is full of different flavors that really warmed me up. The chef is super creative, and you can taste it in every bite.

I really enjoyed the Fish & Chips at this spot! The batter was super crispy, and the fish was both tender and tasty. The portion was big, and the fries were really good too. It's a great deal, and I'll definitely come back for more!

Good food and pleasant service. However there were not many other diners present when we visited. I hope that potential diners try The Exchange, as they deserve to succeed.

Very nice Sri Lankan cuisine, served to your required spice level. Good service and a good range of craft beers to perfectly match the menu.

Popped in for a drink and a snack. Initially no one was at the bar. We're finally served by a lovely young man. The food was nice but expensive (£6.95 for 3 prawns and a shriveled lump of limp green stuff). No atmosphere despite it being a beautiful building. No music to speak of. Sadly lacking....is it a bar or a restaurant? No cutlery until we asked for it and napkins might not have been produced but the nice bar man 'double checked'. Doubt we will return.

The place looks really nice inside. It’s a shame that I couldn’t even try the food. I had to leave as the staff was extremely rude and made me feel unwelcome, blaming me for their booking system not working properly. I don’t usually mind bad customer service that much, but their behavior completely ruined my evening.

On est venu hier soir pour manger, boire un coup et voir le match : c'était absolument délicieux, on s'est régalés avec les plats, la bière et la limonade étaient très bonnes et le lieu est vraiment sympathique (ancienne église magnifiquement rénovée). Le match était projeté sur une grande télé et sur un écran géant. On est revenus aujourd'hui pour déjeuner ! C'était super! Merci beaucoup ! We came yesternight to eat, have a drink and watch the match: it was absolutely delicious, we really enjoyed the meal, the beer and the limonade, and the place is really nice (ancient church beautifully renovated). The match was projected on a big TV and a big screen. We've come back today for lunch! It was extra! Thank you very much! Max & Mel

Always delicious food at The Exchange and fantastic customer service. I love the steak risotto but the fish & chips and pies are amazing too. And a great range of beers, what's not to like. A hidden gem

I walked in expecting to eat and drink for the evening but when I entered there was a sign saying no cash, card or app only so they can politely insert it into their back passage if they think I'll give them any of my money. Only quite bar in area cause every other bar, wagelys, gaslamp, spirit level etc accept both. Businesses don't get to choose, I choose. So in summary, stay away from this place for the sake of your kids/grandkids and remember that cash is king.

Popped in for dinner after a walk in the woods in the shire. The Exchange has amazing food, great drinks, friendly and knowledgeable bar staff, good music on a Saturday night!

Top Super repas, poisson très bon.

First time we'd been to The Exchange in its current guise. It's a lovely wee menu they've created for Aberdeen Restaurant week which is bound to entice people back to sample their regular menu. We had two starters and two mains fron the ARW menu for a mere £25.00 in total (excellent value). Homemade Meatballs, Spanish Spiced Chicken starters followed by Pork Schnitzel and Sea Bass for Mains (all beautifully coked and satisfying. Friendly attentive staff. We were in at a normally quiet time but I imagine quite atmospheric at weekends - it is a lovely old building. Decent selection of beers (including craft).

On est venus par hasard dans ce pub a la recherche d'un déjeuner un mercredi pluvieux. Excellente surprise ! Le service très aimable et sympathique, la cuisine très bonne et prix pas du tout excessif. Le tout dans un magnifique pub coloré avec vitraux. Nous recommandons !

I’m unsure why this place was so empty on a Saturday night as it had decent drinks and food - including a couple vegetarian options - at a reasonable price, in a nice atmosphere, and with decent service.

This is an excellent and unique pub with a good selection of beers and super friendly staff. The homemade pie's are fantastic. It's a beautiful and unusual old building too. I don't think there's another venue quite like it in Aberdeen. Enjoy!

Walked past by chance and menu looked nice so headed in. Few other people in and nice atmosphere. Ordered steak Risotto and side of fries which were both very nice - cooked perfectly and well seasoned. Good range of drinks. Service was excellent and very friendly staff. Overall great experience.

We had a fab time on last Friday ! A new pub & restaurant in town. Food was really nice. We had a warm welcome and very friendly staff! Very nice and vibrant atmosphere for any type of event. They host Weddings, Office parties, Family get togethers, Birthday parties, High teas and Funeral teas .

Craft beer and food at a reasonable price in a beautiful building. There are sports on a big screen and Sunday specials for food. This is a really pleasant, relaxing and friendly place amongst mostly downmarket bars round here. A good place to take friends. The taps change pretty regularly and staff give great advice and info on what's available. Craft beer without being intimidating. Sadly, the cask Beer is poorly kept. It's completely flat and tasteless. Could do with a sparkler and a bit more care. Very expensive for such a poor product.

Everything we asked for on the menu beer and food wise was unavailable despite the place being empty and having a very small menu. The bill came to £41 for 2 beers a burger wings and chips. When the wings arrived we were served a small portion and we paid for a regular, when we said we ordered a regular they took the wings away and spent 20 minutes preparing the regular portion which only happened to be two extra wings. When my partners wings arrived i had finished my meal. I understand hospitality is a hard industry and mistakes happen, but there are better ways to go about things, and considering we were the only people in the place eating we didn’t think it would be that much or a stress. Would’ve appreciated to keep the first portion of wings and to have the extra amount served to us when it was ready so we could at least eat together.

Went here on Friday 19 August at 12 noon. Firstly staff had no access to bookings. Trying to order from the very limited menu. Very difficult as many items were unavailable. Asked for a cup of coffee or tea, apparently not available!!!! Utterly appalling, The poor staff members had obviously been para

Very Good value for money & delicious food & very tasty cocktails. Staff attentive without being intrusive. Looking forward to going again hopefully soon.

Beers and roast beef to die for.

Staff were friendly, great selection of drinks, decently priced and cosy setting. Good for a quiet night out during the week, would highly recommend, been there several times now and enjoyed it each time.

Reasonable selection of beers, not quite the selection of some of its neighbours. Staff are friendly, menu has something for most, including vegetarians and vegans. Pleasant surroundings and a discount with your Brewdog EFP card 👍

Nice Sunday roast for a Liverpool match, good quality beer nice decor and friendly stsff

I was in on Friday night for a Christmas meal. Great service and atmosphere, the staff really couldn't have did anything else to help us. However, I felt the food was pretty mediocre, and the brownie for pudding was slightly burnt. Would still recommend a trip and will likely be back for a sunday lunch in the future.

Not the best place with limited space upstairs and downstairs and very expensive for a drink. Then after the 3rd drink at the bar they said we had had too much too drink, sat in a corner, no bothering ourselves or anyone. We had been out for a meal on our xmas do. We even give them a tip before they would not serve us. Ok if you were a student dressed in anything you wanted though, but no good if you are smartly dreesed.

Very quiet Monday lunchtime. Really good half-price special burgers. Knowledgeable and helpful barman. Schneider-Weiss wheat beer on tap as standard! They also had Schöfferhofer's amazing grapefruit radler on tap.

Ordered takeaway through deliveroo, chips were grey/black inside and tasted disgusting. Tried calling direct several times but nobody answers and deliveroo can only contact them to make sure it doesn’t happen again. So basically I’ve paid for rotten food

Very nice pub with a good selection of craft beers and some cask and nice food. Staff always friendly and efficient when we have visited. The only downside is the prices - quite expensive (£5 for a pint of Punk IPA).

My daughter bought me a birthday voucher to use here. As I am not a fan of craft beers, I wouldn't normally go to a place like this, however need to praise the food which was excellent and very tasty. The young lady who served us was very helpful and polite.

Absolutely amazing atmosphere, very cool modern/ eclectic design inside which is finished off by the being situated in a old church/ chapel. Upstairs area is very nice and quite enough to sit, talk and chill out while playing table top and board games. Has a brilliant range of craft beers and ciders, spirits and stocks Brewdog. Staff are all extremely friendly and welcoming. Can't recommend this establishment enough, if you haven't all ready been in, try it and you will love it.
