The Dutch Fishmen in Manchester

I don’t write bad reviews but felt so deceived by this place that I had to share it. I was looking forward to “Amsterdam chips with Dutch mayo” and received nothing like it. Frozen chips, mainly twice fried in dirty oil. Garlic mayo that was nothing I’d had in Holland before. Jalapeño bites that were frozen in the middle, even the second batch after another try. The fish wasn’t even battered freshly, it was also straight from the freezer. Disgusting food. The guy serving was talking on his phone the whole time, which was pretty rude. Stay away from this place.

Man with the small ponytail at the Cheetham hill Fort branch is soooo arrogant and rude. He begrudges you a squirt of sauce on your chips and even a carrier bag to take your food away in! He also has a bad habit of giving customers cold food/ chips that have been left over sitting there from the previous customer.

I got takeout fish and chips from here this evening. They were truly horrible. Our first and last time, thought we'd try somewhere new so wish we hadn't. How they get away with it in Chorlton with so many nice places to go I have no idea. Don't waste your money my husband put his in the bin !!!!!

Absolutely disgusting the chips frozen Asda no frills branded chips which tasted like cardboard and was covered in piri salt and who on god's sweet blighty has heard of piri salt on fish and chips. The fish was so nuked I needed a kitchen knife to cut through it and the oil taste was rancid. The calamari ffs was a joke and if they can't cook fresh calamari font flipping put it on the menu. It was Tesco branded 90p bags which albeit cheap can be tasty when you need an easy snack but these were a joke. And the "crispy" prawns more like bland flavourless pieces of rubber chucked in some nasty burnt oil. I've been to the bus in Salford many times but this visit to the Chorlton branch has got me very annoyed and at £25 I feel I would have better been off at a local kebab House.
