It is lovely to see an independent on the high street, and I’m hoping that they’re just having teething problems. On my visit I watched 4 orders go back to the kitchen as every order was incorrect in some way. I ordered a toasted sandwich, it was missing the tomatoes and was served on warm bread rather than toast. Everything seemed to take a really long time, with no communication from the staff. It was all a bit underwhelming. Hopefully they will continue to improve.

I visited today with my regular group & they’d run out of cheese (I’m vegetarian) so no choice for veggies. They’d also run out of vinegar. The manager Shaun is normally pleasant and polite as is the young woman who takes the orders. However, 3 times I’ve been in and the chef gets my order wrong and puts meat in. Normally this wouldn’t have been problem but they had ran out of cheese so there wasn’t really anything I could have. The chef was loud and aggressive and I misheard her when she offered me a chicken burger (the music was vey loud). I said that I didn’t eat chicken and she shouted at me that it was a veggie chicken style burger. Her tone and attitude was terrible and I felt quite intimidated as a disabled person. Under her breath I heard her say “Just f***ing eat it”. She then follows me to the table and looms over me aggressively with my friends, mouthing off at me. If it wasn’t for the calm and professional demeanour of the woman who takes the orders I fear what might have happened. I started to cry and this ‘chef’ didn’t care, just started talking about what a great Chef Shaun thought she was! I felt threatened and intimidated. I used to come with my support group at least a couple of times a month and you have now lost several customers. Your ‘chef’ has a disgusting demeanour and anger issues. Shame as everyone was kind, understanding and polite. Thank you to the cashier / server for being calm, kind and polite and refunding my lunch order. What a horrible experience and lunch ruined. Very poor choice for vegetarians and stock issues.

Not really Cosy but and not really a cafe, it boasts traditional British cosine. It was quiet, easy to get in too, pleasant with a basic menu. We only had drinks but the food looked good. We would come back and try the food.

We've been frequenting for several months. Keep going back as we have found the service excellent. Staff friendly and efficient. Quality of the cakes is high standard. £1 breakfast rolls could do with a little more tlc but then they are just £1. The ambiance has always been very pleasant and relaxing. Love the love music on Sundays. Overall very impressed with this delightful retro cafe. What makes it cosy for me is the welcoming staff 😄

I went to the cosy cafe in northfeild and to be fair the place was nice. I ordered a hot chocolate with a brownie and a cheese cake. the brownie was quite hard for my liking and the hot chocolate was very luke warm for some reason. The cheese cake was delightful however. COSY? Not to sure about that, it's a very open space and doesn't really have that "COSY vibe" although the decor is superbly vintage I feel the atmosphere is some what "cold" Overall a pretty average trip, and the COSY CAFE is Clair Approved!

I've just finished a delicious snack and am now enjoying a soya milk hot chocolate. The music and ambience is great. It's a bit of a throwback to the 60s and 70s, but that makes it all the more memorable. It's been open for only a week and it's already got quite a following. The staff are friendly, warm, well presented and courteous. Another bonus is that Jojo Remeny. Jazz funk drummer and tailor extraordinaire, has an alterations and bespoke suit and dressmaking concern upstairs too. If you're lucky, you can catch him on the piano too. I wish the Cosy Cafe all the best.

New favourite Chinese! We got: -Mock chicken with satay -Mock chicken Szechuan spicy sauce -Boiled rice -Vegan steamed dumplings (we got an extra one! 6 rather than 5) -Veggie mock noodles And for free: -Veg spring rolls -Crackers -A little handwritten note from Miss Li- such a sweet and personal touch. Everything was delicious, big portions and arrived quickly. The menu selection is huge and I was so impressed by the textures and flavours and the vegan options were amazing. Super happy to have found this place, it’s the only Chinese I will go to now!
