I highly recommend this pub, the new management were very welcoming and friendly. They have done a lovely refurbishment, there’s a fab marquee at the back ready for the England game. Plenty of parking, family and dog friendly. We’ll definitely go back soon.

Friendly and fun environment even if my friend and I were outsiders in what is a local pub. The woman who served me at the bar gave me a generous tester of the beer I wanted. Was not away of food in the pub.

For the price of the hamburger and chips it was terrible, poor cheap low cost food at sky high prices……never again.

We went for lunch on a Friday, absolutely delicious. The new Asian menu is brilliant. Had really good salt and pepper squid and the Malaysian chicken curry was superb. Really warm and lovely service too, thank you!

Don't judge this place by the garden.. All the energy has gone into the food and service. I had the Thai veg curry for lunch. It was superb, proper sized veg, marinated in the the base coconut curry to perfection. Soft but not soggy. The spring rolls were very fresh and packed with veg. 10 out of 10. And the staff were polite and courteous.

Great Sunday roast and lovely staff. Menu is a little limited (ie only Sunday roasts for mains), but they did that really well.

Pub owned by a lovely Polish family. Beautiful interior. Had Sunday veggie roast that was lovely and not a nut roast, only thing I would suggest is that veggie roast seemed a bit smaller than its meat counterparts. Would definitely go again if I get the opportunity.

I attended the Boot today for Mothering Sunday and had a very disappointing experience. The food was absolutely revolting. I ordered the vegetarian roast and was presented with a pile of slop. When it was put in front of me my 4 year old son asked me what the goo was on my plate. :( It was very strange and had kidney beans and sweetcorn in it. I think it was supposed to be a new take on a nut roast but it was awful. I pride myself on being able to eat most things but my meal was so bad I could only manage a couple of mouthfuls. The roast potatoes were tough and had clearly been sitting there a good fews hours, the vegetables were mushy and the gravy was like water. My son and husband's food was also not amazing (they had beef which was very overcooked) but they were able to eat some of it at least. The manager was fantastic and handled the situation brilliantly. He was very polite. Still, unlikely to return and wouldn't recommend for food unless you enjoy kidney bean slop for a roast dinner! We attended with my 10 month baby and also struggled with the highchair which is more designed for toddlers. It may be sensible investing in a few IKEA Antelope highchairs. They are cheap, sturdy and can be used for babies from 6 months. This would make the pub more family friendly.

We have just enjoyed a wonderful lunch here. I had roast salmon with asparagus and beetroot aloili and my husband had a very delicious haddock and chips. I wish we had taken pictures! For dessert my husband had chocolate brownie, and I chocolate orange 🍊 ice cream, also very yummy 😋. This pub has a lovely ambience and friendly staff. I wish this was my local!!

A lovely find. Pub dates back over 400 years. The food was of traditional English fayre. Turn left to the restaurant which is waiter service. Right through the door to the pub. We will definitely go back.

The alcohol is overpriced, the sort of prices you find in a 4 star hotel, not in a pub serving food.

Went for an early dinner yesterday with a friend. Staff were lovely and friendly. We both ordered salmon with garlic mash and beetroot alioli. OMG it was amazing, cooked to perfection, and flavours together went well. Would have given five stars but the wines were much dearer than other pubs, so we only had soft drinks.

The saving grace was the chocolate brownie for dessert as the main courses generally underwhelmed, the slow cooked beef was still bleeding profusely, something my son does not like. Thick slabs of beef, which even with the saw blades, later provided, still making it a nightmare to eat. The crackling on the pork belly was thin and not crispy. The accompaniments were ok and the gravy good and plenty of it. The service was very friendly but the main courses let it down. We were expecting something like more of a gastro pub. The service and the dessert were plusses. Sorry guys, thinner slices may have made it more palatable.

Went for lunch with my Mum and from start to finish it was a really great dining experience. The staff were really friendly and welcoming, pub was clean and tidy and had a great range of drinks, alcoholic and non-alcoholic. We took our dog with us and he was made to feel just as welcome as the humans which was lovely! Food was amazing too! Started with creamy garlic mushrooms which were delicious followed by Salmon mains with garlic mash, asparagus and beetroot aioli. All the flavours complimented each other so well, it was a great meal. Will definitely be going back to try out more of the menu!

We came in for a midweek lunch and we were so impressed with the food. You can tell this is all cooked fresh to order, portions sizes are plenty and there are different dishes you won't find in your usual chain pubs. The young lady that was serving was also brilliant, nothing was too much, we can't wait to visit again

The old adage praise when praise is due, which is derived from a true memorable experience is awarded to The Chipperfied Boot ( not mistaken from the Boot Sarratt) Sunday roast was exceptional. A family of four had 3 x roast beef and 1 x child’s roast chicken. The roast beef was superbly cooked to perfection. I guess the closest I could describe it would be finely sliced medium rare steak, accompanied with caramelised carrots, asparagus, Yorkshire pudding, Cauliflower, which tasted devine (possibly had nutmeg or cinnamon- unsure on that) lovely roast potatoes and rich gravy on the side. Also it would be rude not to mention the polite and respectful service from the young staff who looked after us so well. Recommend The Chipperfied Boot highly hence 5 x STARS. THANK YOU YAN AND YARA STEF

I understand the pub is under new management and is now called 'The Paddock'. The landlady was very charming and couldn't do enough to please us. I had the burger (as I rarely have them at home), it was fantastic, juicy, well cooked and seasoned. The chips and salad were also spot on, good value to be honest. The chef is landladies brother. Awesome chef. The beer was well kept, reasonably priced and enjoyed in the homely atmosphere. We stayed until the pub shut and had a great night.

Well, we visited the stall at Beaconsfield bank holiday fayre market and chose 2 delicious cinnamon doughnut 'things' plus a gorgeous seeded sourdough loaf which has stunned us, it's so tasty. It's 23 miles from our home to the bakery but we plan to plague them for their bread and goodies; just hope they keep in the freezer!
