First time visit to this premises. A brilliant place to eat for those who must adhere to a Gluten Free diet (Coeliac Disease) although you don't need to have an intolerance to eat here. I could not believe the choice and range of yummy meals which are normally not on the menu for me in restaurants. I opted for the wild boar hot dog New Yorker Mmmmm....it was delicious. Very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable staff/owners. Thank you for making my day and we would highly recommend The Cauldron. We'll be back for something different to eat when we're next in Middlesbrough. Mark and Allyson

Such an amazing place that really looks after those with dietary needs. I’m coeliac and vegetarian, so not used to having such an extensive selection. The owners were so friendly and I really enjoyed the food. And the vegan cheesecake was super impressive, we couldn’t even tell it was vegan. Wish I lived closer, I would eat there all the time!

Full marks for food, staff and prices. Will definitely return - it's going to take us some time to work through the extensive menu.

Visiting Middlesbrough and googled places for gf food and found this gem and it didn't disappoint! Right in the town center and exclusively gluten free so didn't have to worry and could just pick anything - had a full breakfast sausage, bacon, mushrooms, mini hash browns, fried egg and some really nice beans in special sauce , and gf toast which was very nice. Also a tasty white hot chocolate with cream. I need to go back and sample the rest of the menu and the specials , wish I lived in Boro!

Neither of us are gluten intolerant, were just passing and enjoy eating in different places. The Cauldron did not disappoint! Lots of choice on the menu, service was excellent, food was fantastic and my hubby particularly enjoyed the coffee! The care and attention that goes into the cooking is second to none, thanks for a fabulous experience. If we are every in the area again we will definitely return.

Right, so this is a stress free, risk free eating experience for coeliacs and others with food intolerances. Everyone else has to eat GF, but that’s ok. My daughter was super impressed that she could have literally anything on the menu, rather than just a highlighted few things. We had hot dogs, hers was a chilli dog which was great. The salad with pomegranate was pretty good too. They do take out cake too, also GF of course.

Stopped in after hearing good things about it from my mother who is celiac. My partner is also gluten free so it seemed the perfect place. Ordered fresh orange juice which was fine and Eggs benedict. Both of us are big eggs benedict fans and have eaten it in many places, over many years. On this occasion the dish had no good qualities. The hollandaise sauce was oily and sour in an unpleasant way, the bacon and egg somehow lacked flavour; it was overall a poor dish. Perhaps this is due to the sauce being made for a gluten free or vegan option. Don't want to be negative as I think the service of providing a gluten free place to eat for people that need it is wonderful.

I've visited so often I've lost count. Food is outstanding - Debs is a fantastic cook and fully deserves the title of "Kitchen Witch". It really is magic what she can produce. Paul, is the alchemist. His own blends of coffee and divine. Some have so much caffeine that it will blow you head off. I would divulge my favourite drink, but I'm selfish and want to keep it all for myself. Occasionally, you might meet Milz. Normally hiding out back, she always has smile than can light up the room. Just about the whole menu can be altered to suit anyone. Vegetarian, vegan, dairy free, egg free, you name it. For me, the best dish is a black & blue burger. A slightly burned beef patty served with blue cheese. Always with Deb's fresh salad. Don't go in expecting the same salad. My most recent salad contained the usual mixed leaves with pomegranate and blueberries. If you're really good and friendly to animals, take a peek in to Barkingham Palace. Three of the friendliest dogs live there. I almost forgot. Everything is gluten free, however I challenge anyone to taste the difference.

This was an unexpected jewel in Middlesbrough’s crown. Having a coeliac daughter is fraught with anxiety, especially when recent ‘glutening’ has occurred. The Cauldron offers a comprehensive menu of culinary delights at really reasonable prices with lots of chat and smiles. Our party had two (massive) Parmos, two burgers and a pizza, plus chips, garlic bread and onion rings! I was just really excited at having everything to choose from. The food (and wonderful drinks - eclectic tea, Black Forest milkshake, white hot chocolate etc) was really good and plentiful. We availed ourselves of the gf bread available to buy separately, and we’re looking forward to our next visit already! PS…also have to say the loo is great too. Tampons, Pads, sprays, etc…it’s equipped for every eventuality. Thanks the Witch and front of house lovely chap, we enjoyed it immensely.

We travelled all the way from Newcastle to eat at this gorgeous place. As a newly diagnosed coeliac I was instantly put at ease for a zero cross-contamination eating experience with fantastic knowledgeable staff. The ambience was warm and welcoming, fantastic variety on the menu. And I FINALLY had my parmo fix 😍 15/10 all round.
