Great food with a lovely atmosphere. Last time we were there I enjoyed Korean tofu which was delicious!

Food was really good but slightly spoilt by slow service. Waited well over 45 minutes for our food to arrive and it didn't seem that busy. This would not have been an issue if we had updated about a delay, but we had to ask where our food was.

Well guys. You’ve done it again Booked in advance table of 5, then increased to 7 at shorter notice. Suggested we pre order which I do not have an issue with. Arrived with a very warm welcome and the great hospitality continued. Food and drinks all delivered in a timely manor. Food was excellent desserts also taken in a nice well planned break and the delivered in a timely manor. Service was faultless and all very professional. Amazing what can happen when a place is adequately staffed. Keep it up guys. Number one Sunday roast in Suffolk by far from service to the food. Just as a bit of constructive feedback. Desserts would have benefitted by being served with serviettes ! Will of course be back !!!!

Food was lovely & good value for money, but what really made it was the staff. Ellie & Lewis are a credit to the management there - friendly, welcoming & attentive. 5* for them alone!

Delicious Sunday roast. Definitely will recommend & be back

We waited 45 to 50 minutes for two meals. One roast and one fish pie. We were told by a waitress that it was because the fish pie takes longer to cook. Next door ordered 4 fish pies 15 minutes later they had their food. The veg was stone cold. Worst food I've had in the area. Never again.

We gave been to the Bull a few times now and have enjoyed it every time. It's on our go to places.

We were sent here on recommendation. Sadly when I said I am GF and I selected a starter which the menu showed as GF option I wasn't asked if I am intolerant or coeliac. I'm intolerant only. When the dish arrived the toasted sourdough ciabatta had been replaced by a recently thawed burger bun which apparently couldn't be toasted because of potential cross contamination. If I had been asked I could have confirmed toasting it would have been fine. Equally perfectly good GF ciabatta rolls are available so with just a little thought I could have had almost the same experience as someone without a GF restriction. This isn't a choice for me, gluten makes me feel very unwell. My steak and chips was acceptable but nothing special. My wife's whitebait and chips was very well recieved.

Loved this pub on many occasions but will not visit ever again. We spoke to the landlord in person 8 months ago about booking a table for 10 on Christmas day 2024. He said contact me in June as he will know by then. Been emailing him several times and he never replied. Called him last week and he said he would get back to us but he never did. Shoddy service to locals that provide him business. He lacks customer service and obviously takes business for granted. We will not visit again, booked at his competition who gladly too our booking for 10. Be warned, not a landlord to be trusted.

Probably the best family run pub in the uk!!! Staff are so attentive and friendly, the food is fantastic and the owners can’t do enough for you. Always a lovely welcome, we are very lucky indeed to be reasonably local. A real treat.

Popped in for a late lunch/early dinner. Great choice on the menu. Good service. However, we did have to wait quite a while to receive our order. Certainly, I would go back next time we are back in the village.

Great local pub, visited on holiday, had the wild boar burger and wife had the steak bomb. Excellent 👌 good choice of beers. Carlsberg, Stella unfiltered, Estrella, friendly staff.

The Bull is fast becoming my favourite lunch venue. The building has a proper village pub feel, the staff are really friendly and helpful, great beer and the food is 1st rate, with really generous portions. I'll definitely be returning.

A lovely pub, which very busy on a beautiful summer's day serving lots of Sunday lunches including a large group of MG car enthusiasts. My Sunday lunch was well presented and very tasty, with the exception of a overcooked Yorkshire pudding which had lost all it's moisture. Two of us had Beef which unfortunately was stringy, fatty and too different to enjoy. My other two guests had the Pork which was on point including crispy crackling and was savoured without any challenges. Maybe we were just unlucky with the two beef potions served to us? Two excellent local ales were on tap, which were great.

First time visiting but definitely won't be the last! The service from the staff was amazing, they were attentive and friendly. The food was amazing, everyone had a really good meal. We had the option to eat in the bar area or the restaurant, I'm so glad we chose the restaurant as we got to see how well decorated the building is.

Great service, good menu choices, excellent food served piping hot. Good selection of ales all reasonably priced.

First time here and was a good experience. We shared a starter and the salt and pepper squid was excellent. For my main, I had the fish pie. It was good but too much potato for my liking, could do with more fish! My partner had the chicken and ham hock pie which was amazing. So much meat in it that she couldn't finish it! Nice wine too

This is our favourite destination for the family. We are always made welcome, and dietary requirements are never an issue.

Went here with my hubbies works Christmas party. Both of us ordered mackerel starter which was meant to be warm sitting on sourdough bread with a pomegranate sauce. The sauce on this was so tarte it literally sucked my backside up to my eyeballs. I ate the piece of mackerel which was served cold and also it was a piece of pre cooked mackerel from most super markets not cooked at the restaurant. I couldn't eat the rest of starter. Very un pleasant! We both ordered steak which was cooked how we like it. We both ordered the honeycomb cheese cake which was delicious. Both my hubby and I suffered with extreme upset stomach whilst in meal and after. So much so my hubby couldn't go to work on the Monday. I did mention the starter to waiter at time but didn't get any reply back. Been here many times before for a meal and always enjoyed. There was a large number of us at meal and we were not the only ones who suffered with severe diarrhea!

Brilliant evening. We had food from the Christmas menu and it was amazing. Rory was very friendly, came and introduced himself and was very attentive. All the staff were very friendly, and couldn't do enough for us. We had a fabulous Anniversary dinner. Thank you.

Went for Sunday lunch and the food and service was good. What wasn't good, was the amount of covers that they booked: far too many and one got the impression they couldn't cope. As a result we had a very long wait but in fairness, we were offered a free drink and the food was worth the wait. As a result of the number of people, it was extremely noisy. In spite of all I've said I would recommend a visit. The food was good and bear in mind, we went for Sunday lunch. It may not be so crowded at other times. Didn't use the lavatories so can't comment on those. Despite a large car park, parking, certainly Sunday lunchtimes, is bad but there is road parking. Recommend.

The Bull provided us with a private function on Saturday evening for husbands 50th birthday party. They listened to our needs and provided the necessary to accommodate this. They helped us to set up, and then took all the decoration down again. The food provided at our request was curry, and sides along with pizza and chips, for which feedback was really positive with people commenting that the curry was one of the best they had ever had. All in all the service provided by Rory, Duncan and the team was out of this world and I would thoroughly recommend The Bull Inn for anyone’s special occasion.

Recently held our wedding reception at the Bacton bull. In the months leading up to our event we had regular contact with Rory and Duncan and could not fault them one bit. They asked questions and were able to answer all of our questions. Food on the day was amazing and lovely big portions for a 3 course meal. Helped make our day run smoothly also helped set up and clean up end of the day. Staff were kind, friendly and helpful. Would definately recommend to anyone

Had a lovely lunch here today, the beef bomb was amazing if you want a substantial meal and veggies were lovely and crunchie. Good variety of choices on the menu. Will be returning!

Dogs unwelcome (other than their own) and forget ordering so much as a bowl of soup at lunchtime if they're hosting a function.

14 of us ate here to celebrate out mum turning 80 , may 2022 , we have eaten here few times & never been disappointed

We had an excellent meal here, we came for dinner as we were visiting friends nearby - the food selection was great and lots of gluten free options, all of which are done properly and suitable for someone that has a wheat allergy. I had the Steak Bomb and it was possibly one of the best pies I’ve ever eaten. Service and atmosphere were both great. I will definitely be back

Fantastic Sunday roast and desserts. A little bit off the beaten track but worth the trip. Great food in a really nice building full of character. Service was good albeit the place was extremely busy when we went so a little slow but that's to be expected. Staff really nice and accomodating though. Top restaurant.

Woow what a wonderful pub. So welcoming freindly. 4 of us had dinner here on my bday and omg the food ,drinks, service, everything was tip top. We had 2 hand made pizzas from the pizza oven ,pork Adobe, sea food linguine, 3 cokes and 3 san miguel came to £82 . Amazing value for your money. Its was the freindly welcoming service that was really what made it perfect. Dog friendly too. We was away for 3 nights in the area and this really made our trip.we returned again on the Sunday for more drinks and again so welcoming and friendly. Thank you all for making our little bday hol. Proper old school pub with everything you need to have the perfect time. We will 100% be going back very soon.👍🏻👍🏻🙂🙂

We were a party of 13 and everyone thoroughly enjoyed their meal. Good size portions with most unable to finish the Sunday roast. The restaurant was akin to a medieval banqueting Hall and nicely laid out. All the staff were extremely polite and helpful and ensured we were well looked after. I would definitely recommend The Bull Inn and we will definitely be going back.

Excellent food. THE best food I've ever had. (Chicken ham hock & Lemon roulade). Staff were very good, made me feel very comfortable. Outside seating area was also lovely. Atmosphere was friendly, also it is very dog friendly too! 🐾

me and my partner came here for a Roast yesterday at lunch time 5/02/23 and we just wanted to say how much we enjoyed it. It was honestly the best roast out in ages. We always say its hard to beat one that you cook yourself and we can honestly say it was as good if not better than we do. Everything was perfectly cooked and presented well. The deserts were a equally brilliant I had the roulade my partner had the cheesecake, the flavors were fantastic. We will be returning as this was our first visit. Thank you again for a lovely meal.

Jan 2023 5 out of 5 stars Birthday meal out for a friend with their family & friends. What a great Sunday lunch. Roast beef was really good. Good portions and all very good quality. The red velvet cheesecake for dessert was really good too. April 2021 4 out of 5 stars First Saturday after Covid with outdoor eating. The place was busy, but not all eating. The service was a little slow on the day, but all things considered it was still a nice afternoon out. Some of the tables could perhaps do with a little maintenance. A family of 5 on our table and it did feel a little wonky. Overall a good 17th birthday meal out for my youngest.

Just popped in after a recommendation and they did not disappoint. Great service, friendly staff, great food the fish pie was to die for and a gorgeous pub dog that we would have took home. We will come again.
