We were blown away by the food! Not sure why we didn’t anticipate it, but perhaps it made it even more enjoyable. What sounded like a happy back of house (we could hear laughter and everyone looked so happy). The restaurant space was so cosy. The small bites delicious - we ordered 3 out of the 4 & almost ordered the 4. Mains of chicken and beef also just delicious. The front of house team were fantastic. I can’t recall names but the gentlemen, from South Africa & France, were attentive, explained all the dish components. They were the perfect mix friendly, with prompt but caring service. Well done guys - would happily recommend & revisit in the future.

Delicious restaurant on site at Finn Lough. The food is fantastic and the staff are so helpful with any questions you might have or to offer their recommendations. There’s also a full vegetarian/pescatarian menu to choose from. There was no rush to free up tables after we ate either and the atmosphere was really relaxed, so it’s a perfect way to end your day.

This was a very lovely experience. Service was high level and super nice at the same time. We shared several dishes with all sorts of taste. Everything was wonderful. That will remain a very good souvenir for a very long time. Congratulations to the chef and the whole team.

The fact that a lot of food is either grown on the premises of bought local is brilliant. The food is fantastic and the cocktails in the barn are among the best We've ever had

I can’t believe this place exists and I didn’t know until I checked into the resort. If this restaurant was based in a city you’d never get a table. Everything from the food to cocktails and service from the knowledgeable staff was flawless. I’ve been in hospitality for many years, eaten and worked at some great fine dining establishments in various parts of the world and these guys are doing everything right. We loved the sharing concept because we got to try some more plates but would suggest some kind of chefs choice menu option maybe? Might allow guests a set price menu that isn’t as costly but also works from the business end. I think that’s also because having tried some of the food, that everything on the menu is worthy of its place there and your team could have served us anything from the menu and I’m sure we would have loved it. Our favourite plate was the Chicken served with XO sauce, unbelievable. Great work Chef and the FoH team!

We're vegetarian, we're from New York, we're used to spending money when we dine out and came to dinner ready to be impressed. It didn't seem like that would be a problem. The staff said the restaurant was fantastic and boasted a full vegetarian / pescatarian menu. We booked a reservation after our time in the spa, came very hungry and left very disappointed. The plates were ridiculously small for the price (think four coin-sized rounds of zucchini with some bits of pickle for £16) which would have been fine had they been spectacularly flavorful. But the elaborate plating felt like a sleight of hand as soon as you took a bite: bland sauces, limp, unseasoned vegetables, a pile of cold squash with tasteless feta. There were four slices of bread that came with the bread plate, each one half the size of a credit card and stale. The sprigs of broccoli were overwhelmed with sauce, the mushrooms had no flavor, the cronuts were cold and had clearly been sitting out for the majority of the day. We wanted very much to love this place, but even the cocktails lacked balance: some were high on sugar, low on acid, others had no flavor at all, and we noted that most are made by infusing low quality alcohol. The speech they give you when you sit down is almost comical in retrospect: "we have an ethos of sharing so our plates are very small". An ethos of sharing does not go with a plate that contains a total of three bites of food you have to force yourself to finish. Just say "Our ethos is to extract as much profit from the people who are incredibly hungry after the spa and stuck here with no other dining option by tricking them into thinking our food is exquisite because it's expensive and tiny. Our ethos is the jokes on you". The restaurant staff could tell we weren't enjoying our meal and the same server rarely returned to our table to check in. No one asked us how we liked the dishes, even when we sent plates back half-eaten. Perhaps it's a problem with the vegetarian menu - some chefs aren't well-versed at feeding vegetarians. We did notice that the table next to us - a French family - was ordering off the vegetarian / pescatarian menu as well, and were agitated enough to complain. That provided a bit of catharsis. We asked a few other couples we met how they enjoyed the food and they said it was fantastic - worth noting they were locals (UK food is notoriously bad) and they all ordered meat. We left the spa wanting to gift visits to friends and family, but we can't send anyone here to stay the night if this restaurant is the only option. I would advise Finn Lough to take a cue from Korean spas: When people have lost a lot of sweat in a sauna they need salt, starch and sweet and spicy flavors. Up the prices if you need to, but make it delicious and filling and you'll have a more consistently happy clientele. We may come back just to use the spa, but we'll bring our own food.

The best meal I have ever eaten. . Faultness from start to finish. Service was excellent, effortlessly hospitable and efficient. Food was faultless. Menu conception and execution was perfectly matched to the beautiful woodland setting. Genuinely the most compete restaurant experience I have had in a very long time. This team deserve higher recognition than I can provide 👏 🙌

The Barn restaurant is set in a really beautiful space. Lovely place for an occasion dinner/night out. It’s formal while maintaining a cosy, welcoming atmosphere. The food is in a tapas/sharing plate style format and the plates are beautifully presented. Decent options for vegetarians/vegans too! One thing needed is more clarity on allergen contents, as there were a few mix ups regarding the food that was served to me and my allergies. Granted, we were in a large group which made plates harder to keep track of for our server, and she was very quick to bring me extra plates of safe food for me once I flagged it. But nonetheless, a clear allergen menu or some other contingency is definitely important to get installed, especially since the sharing plate format can be a risky/anxiety-inducing experience for allergy sufferers anyway (though of course it doesn’t have to be, and this can be fixed with menu clarity, staff knowledge of menu, serving individual plates to allergy sufferer, staff explaining what is on the plate, marking plate/changing presentation for identification of non-allergen portion etc. etc.). Bar that, lovely food, staff and space! Thanks so much for having us. Will definitely be back.

We had a nice little dinner here during our stay at the Finnlough spa hideaway. Loved the ambience which is scandanavian/japandi style. There were very few options of vegetarian food, however the staff was quite accommodating to convert a meat burger into mushroom one for us. Loved the mushroom and artichoke tagliatelle and chocolate brownie. The restaurant is quite over priced for the menu options, however okay for a one night dinner.

Booked dinner here when staying at the resort just because it was handy to eat here. We were really pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food! The lamb was full of flavour & I loved the chocolate cake - more than the chocolate bar on the menu.

What a absolute delight to savour the food at the forest barn. Every evening meal that leaves the kitchen is crafted like a work of art, such style and ingenuity. The chefs demonstrate originality in their cooking flavours. I ate vegan one evening and it was incredible, the meal was bursting with flavour. Breakfasts are incredible too, such a great choice. To top it all off the staff are so attentive, you won’t be disappointed.

Stay 2 nights in a premium bubble and ate only one night in restaurant... The food looked good on the plate but was tasteless and over priced for what was given. Went into Enniskillen and had decent gourmet food in a pub on the second night

You can go and try as an experience with your stay at the Finn lough resort as it’s the only restaurant in there. I recommend to pre book the dinner so it saves your money for some of not very great taste food. If you stay more than one night, just bring some food yourself! For the restaurant experience, the service was great. staff were welcoming and efficient. However i feel the food are overpriced even they had a good presentation But the tastes were ordinary( way below my expectations). We ordered a three course meal and a separate starter. The 3 course meal was roughly £45 which was reasonable however I don’t see any logic that they charged us £30 for a small portion starter as one course meal. It may be better to price each item individually that makes more sense.

We stayed here at the weekend and it was the most fabulous experience! We stayed in a bubble dome which was wonderful and different. The place is so unbelievably calming and peaceful and when I say the staff are just wonderful, I mean it! The breakfast was delivered to our door and was delicious and also lovely and hot! It is definitely very much aimed at a nice romantic getaway for couples and really is a lovely way to switch off from the world and relax! The only things I would give as suggestions: - Give a key to lock the dome door - Allow for longer sessions around the spa trail because it was SENSATIONAL. The Prosecco in the hot tub was a lovely touch! - Totally understand wanting to keep the space as natural as possible but better pathways around the spa trail would be good as it was a little painful walking on the stones with the wet shoes.

A good place to eat, in an unexpected location. We had lamb shank which was very good, nice and pink, would have liked a bit more fire on the outside. The menu said it came with local black pudding (mine didn't) and a red wine jus (confident mine was just normal gravy) but I enjoyed it very much. My wife had spaghetti carbonara, made with cream which might upset the purists. Bizzarely, this was served with a side of chips. I also got a side of chips in spite of my meal already coming with champ. The portion of pasta was insane, we couldn't have eaten it between us. I was amused at the double carbs but the chips are amazing, the best chips I've had in ages. If I made chips that good I'd serve them with everything too. Decent little wine list, and really reasonable prices on the wine, which I was surprised by because so many restauraunts overcharge on wine. Dessert portions are very generous, as are the portions of everything else. It's big proper plates of food. It's a nice place, with no pretenses, the service is good and the dining room was full of familes and couples enjoying themselves. We left very full and glad we made the trip. Give it a go, but arrive hungry becasue you're having chips as well.
