First time dining here at The Alder Tree and boy oh boy what amazing food I had. I don't normally have sunday dinners but I'll definitely be back here for one. The Brisket was so tender it was unbelievable and the taste was out of this world. Fresh vegetables and the tastiest gravy in a gravy boat to help yourself. I was offered the desert board to look at and just couldn't resist trying the mini trio of deserts. key lime pie, cheesecake and chocolate orange brownie with ice cream. I could have taken it home if I was too full to eat them all but they were just so nice I demolished the lot. customer service was top notch and very friendly. Thanks You and see you again soon!!

Enjoyed the whole dining experience,nothing too much trouble for the girls.The Sunday lunch was brilliant and the suites fantastic.They bent over backwards to attend to my granddaughters unusual menu ( broccoli with garlic bread and chicken nuggets).

The Sunday lunch was great,the Brisket was out of this world,perfectly cooked.

Nice little restaurant set back from main roads me and my other half had roast dinners and starters food was excellent service excellent and staff very helpful and friendly would reccomend to anybody wanting nice meal prices reasonable

We had an amazing experience after Newley moving to the area we gave thur night the grill night offer a go. Was amazing the gammon beautiful and the mixed grill fabulous we will be returning as this is just in our own street amazing restaurant and friendly lovely staff. We’ll be back 😃😃

Food is excellent quality and good portions. Themed nights are especially good, usually trying foods that are very different and authentic to ghe theme. Lots if thought and research goes into it, with fabulous results

Booked afternoon tea for four very nice indeed couldn't fault a thing and that's rare for me. A BIG 10 out of 10. A must place to eat its got to be the best place to eat in Swinton area.

we came here for the indian night and I cannot praise this little place highly enough. The food was beautiful, they had put such an effort in but the staff are the star of the show, so welcoming and friendly. Don't hesitate to book , i've just booked in again, we love it.

"Hidden Gem"; an often stated cliché... but i cant think of anything else more appropriate, top notch, will be back for more!

Great food. Friendly staff. Comfy, relaxing Dining area. Food reasonably priced. Functions can be held here with various catering choices available. Also different themed cuisine events are held regularly, call for the menu or check Facebook as these do alter Plenty of on street car parking available. Very pleasant experience

Deal on a Thursday, 2 meals and bottle of wine for £25, I had salmon, husband had mixed grill both beautiful meals. Nice decor, plenty of room to get plates etc on tables, doesn't feel 'crowded'. Excellent service, food freshly prepared.

My friend and I had a delicious meal of beef stew and dumpling followed by raspberry posset. Ruth and Liz never fail to deliver on quality food and a friendly atmosphere. We'll be back soon xx

Barry and I had a lovely meal at Alder Tree Beef stew and dumplings. Very tender beef and gorgeous suet dumplings followed by 3 taster puds. Can recommend this restaurant.

I just want to say a massive thank you to all the staff, they accommodated 19 of us for a special occasion, the food was delicious, all home made and they could not have done any more for us. We will be back soon.

Went here for Sunday lunch, small and cosy, bright and cheerful staff. Had a Sunday dinner with brisket, selection of vegatable which were cooked exactly how I like them , good portion size , well cooked and presented. Had a table for 5 and everyone enjoyed their meal. Selection of puddings but I gave it a miss. Would go again

During lockdown, we ordered deliveries from the Alder Tree. It was really tasty and plenty of food too. We will be going to the restaurant soon and really looking forward to it if the take away food is anything to go by

Food and staff are great, do all they can to give a great evening out, the key lime pie is divine we'll be returning soon they also told us alot of food on menu gluten free if you are a sufferer of this I recommend you give it a try
