Tesco Superstore in East Dunbartonshire

A very good shop, me and my family in milingavie have been coming here for years now, cheap prices, helpful staff and very kind aswell. Everything you need is there from: Toilet paper, potato scones, hash browns, fairy liquid, cookies, cake, wipes, sausages, bread, pizza, milk, nappies, Costa and more! Speaking of Costa, this Tesco in milingavie (pronounced Mill-guy) has a Costa coffee of its own, you can buy lunch l, like sandwiches wraps, and buy coffees, hot chocolate, tea's and biscuits. They also have a library wich all you have to do is donate a small amount of money, say 50p and you can have any book you want from that library. In conclusion this Tesco is very good and I would recommend it to any one who loves Tesco.

Quite sure woman shortchanged me by 8 pounds. I thought I'd phone and ask but not possible to talk to someone there. What a thoroughly depressing shop and experience.

home delivery drivers are so disrespectful they deliver to my very elderly lady above me and every time they leave the main gate open because they are to lazy to close the gate and always block my driveway when I'm going to use my car I think tesco should teach or hire staff that have respect rather than the stinking attitude I've had from a few delivery drivers

Great bargains using the clubcard. Reduced items for freezer and a money off coupon made it a cheaper shop.

I gave always loved this store but admittedly haven't been in a while until today. Parking can be busy but I've never not been able to get a space. The store is well laid out and the selection of food is always good. I love the Tesco quality range "The Best". I love their free from range as the selection is always really thoughtful. Some of the staff used to let the store down (once upon a time) but clearly not the case today as the staff were lovely.

A member of staff was just inside the entrance & was saying hello to everyone as you came in Also good bye & thank you for shopping with tesco today. That was nice. The store is well arranged easy to find things but if you are not sure you can ask a member of staff. You can go to a till with service or go to a self service till help is at the self service if you need it and you do sometimes expecially if you have a security tag

A good Tesco supermarket with a large car park, convenient for the town centre. Very pleasant Costa coffee shop in-store.

Big ques because only a couple of tills open they expect people to self scan , sell by dates on fruit and veg is lucky to have 2 days on . Should bring back make own pasta pots or /hot chicken station because the sushi is well over priced for what you get.

Tesco has went really downhill, there’s always massive queues which can’t be justified considering how much the prices have went up, most of the staff are lovely but there are a few who are outright hostile. Senior management have zero people skills and respect for customers and they will keep losing business unless they change their approach

Always the best service from friendly staff

one of my Fave Tescos nice clean store friendly staff has everything you could want from a store i like the fact it has some charity areas where you can buy CD's Dvd books for a wee donation also has a place for a cup of tea with wifi feels laid back too .I always make an effort to shop here when am in the area visiting friends .

What a great facility for our beautiful town.

Just received a penalty notice for overstaying 3 hours limit in Tesco Milngavie car park. Only stayed 30 minutes but seems going back to pick up elderly parent 3 hours later deserves a £70 fine. Why did camera not catch me leaving and returning 3hours later ? Won't be paying fine and unfortunately won't be back to Tesco. Horrendous way to treat customers.

The wife and myself love going to this great friendly store where the staff are always on hand if needed and the Costa coffee shop within is the ideal place to sit and relax after your shopping go on give it a try

Toilets are a disgrace, limited/reduced items on shelves

Mediocre. Not competitive. Greedy. I was fined £30 for parking too long while doing my shopping and stopped for lunch. Hope they enjoyed my £30. They have lost over £5,000 per annum in sales. What idiots!

WEE UPDATE. I had literally just planted one of Tesco's sunflowers in my outside pot and was watering it when the first of many welcome visitors arrived. Bee happy! ●●●● The staff at the mobile shop within Tesco Milngavie are renowned for their professional and friendly assistance. The manager Euan is, for me, at the pinnacle of service provision. He ticks all the boxes in terms of good practice, making peeps like me, (non techy) comfortable with his relaxed, competent manner. I noticed him subtly checking understanding of both me the customer and a junior colleague seeking advice, to ensure we'd grasped the detailed info. This is an essential of good management practice and customer service. He's a great ambassador for Tesco mobile and solid asset for Tesco in general.

Not the largest Tesco, but is usually well stocked and has a wide range of products.

Great variety of products.Can get french frys in one isle and french knickers in the next Isle.

Store staff very good generally , Still lacking in Covad cleansing at tills after use by each customer a swipe on cash points would be good and where possible where we lay the goods prior to paying. A number of stains and liquid lying on them I used a cleanser to wipe from my pocket. Covad has not gone keep sharp on this subject .

Discusted with this tesco. Im an NHS worker in full uniform goin to start a 12hr shift,popd in for food to sustain me for the days lunch and only happen to have a £50 note on me(xmas £) as id forgot my purse. Refused to take it or offer any kind of assistance and memeber of staff just stood there till i ended up walkin out!! What a discrace!! Thank you tesco for your horrid lack of support.

We went in specifically for pet waste bags and wipes but none there and no space on the shelves where they should be. Also no all bran granola cereal, or kellogs sultana bran, only tesco own make which isn't as nice.

Prefer shopping at Tesco now instead of Morrisons. It is much easier to see savings with Tesco Club Card.

Great local store with friendly staff. Decent range of fruit and veg so staples are always there. Great selection of meat, fish, dairy and alternatives. Clothing small selection but covers day to day needs with request sales rale brought in from larger collection. Good parking and easily accessible to Milngavie Town Centre. Costa coffee cafe on site.

Welcoming store and friendly staff. I was nervous about my shop under the pandemic but the social distancing and hygiene was all set and in practice. The check out moved efficiently and loved my Costa latte in way out. This is now my favourite store. I seen one rebel of a customer inside not wearing a mask but overall a good visit.

Standard tesco with good product selection and price etc. The reason for the 1 star review is for the standard of the staff who I and other members of my family have found to be rude , arrogant and very unprofessional. Plenty of choices in Bearsden and Milngavie so I would suggest shopping elsewhere.

Disgusted that they have stayed to use plastic eggboxes instead of card. A bit out of touch with the mood of the World regarding plastic waste.

I have always found the staff pleasant and helpful.

They had a DJ playing music this morning for charity, waiting in the queue was a pleasure ,really brightened up my day.

I shop in most supermarkets, tesco as a whole seem to be dealing with the current state of affairs very well and seem serious about the wellbeing of their customers and staff ,I was in the milngavie store the other night ,they had shopping trolleys cleaned down already for the customer, saving time for people just to collect and shop ,the staff guiding you in to the store done so in a friendly and professional manner .well done Tesco 👏🏻👏🏻

During these difficult times Tesco Milngavie Is the best shop I have been in for social distancing it does take a little longer to shop . But the experience is stress free compared to other super markets . You queue outside at the recommended distance and this is in the most part adhered to in the store. Unlike the other superstores I have attended were it's a free for all inside the store after social distancing outside . Definitely my place to go and this will continue as I feel a whole lot safer shopping here all stores should sit up and take a look at this issue

This Tesco branch used to stock a range of Whiskies which were not available at my local branch (St Rollox and Mary Hill) so I used to visit the place every now and then. They used to have both fresh fish and meat counter but I believe this is no longer the case. Other than that, it is a relatively small sized Tesco store and perhaps with staff who are a bit more helpful and friendlier than your average Tesco.

excellent service from two young men in store tonight, my brother's suitcase had gone missing and he had a function to go to in the morning, the young man was just unlocking a changing room when a call came that they were at the door with the case, so though we didn't on this occasion buy we will be back :-)

Don't meet anyone for a coffee in the store and then go shopping ... you'll get a parking ticket. Never returning!

I’d score less if I could. The customer service my mother received was appalling, from the manager no less! A shame as the rest of the staff are lovely.

I only use Tesco as it's near to me , I've lost count the many time I've to take things back especially raw meat. Not my favourite store.

Regular customer of Milngavie Tesco. Always find the staff very friendly and, when needed, very helpful. As a regular customer, we are on first name terms with many of the staff. Stock is consistently good and the store is kept clean and bright. The car park can,occasionally, be very busy but I suspect that this is more due to local car parking restrictions imposed by the local council than the store itself being over subscribed. All in all, a good facility and a benefit to the community.

Good pizza (store made) but runs out early. Basic.

Good place to stock up with food if your walking the West Highland Way.

Still can't find some items that I buy such as Perthshire plain water in the 6 pack and a small bag of cashew nuts.

Great deals and savings. Staff always vwey pleasant and helpful especially the kiosk staff.

Good place to get what you need for your enjoyment plus there is a Costa's if you fancy an espresso. That's how I roll anyway.

Staff are pleasant and always happy to help. Store is generally clean and tidy Sometimes shelves look a bit empty. Come on Tesco empty shelves don't sell anything and please keep stocking popular lines and stop discontinuing stuff that clearly sells.

Rarely do they have everything on your shopping list. Three items this morning!

Only a stone's throw from the town centre, boasting a fairly large car park, easy access for wheelchair users. The store is surprisingly larger than it looks from the outside. Apart all the usual products, it offers an F & F clothes department, an in house Costa coffee shop, a mobile phone shop and an attractive in house bakery department, worth a visit if grocery shopping in Milngavie.

Popped in for some quick groceries. Before I started I went to the male toilets. A disgrace for a major retailer. Both urinals had boxes under them to catch the dripping waste. One cubical was missing a seat and the other full of human waste. Management response would be good...

On Sunday I visited the Tesco Superstore in Milngavie with my son in law to buy dinner. It was a pleasure because the fish counter was so well stocked. The assistant was very helpful. Later that night we enjoyed the lovely fresh salmon we bought earlier. Thank you Tesco Issy King

I have been shopping at Tesco since it opened in the 1980's. I have usually had a good experience at Tesco but have noticed it's 'don't really care about customers' attitude lately ... and in particular over the past 6 months. staff seem to be completely demoralised ... and some can be unpleasant. I am just back home from my visit to the Milngavie store and will now have to drive down to Waitrose to purchase some wine ... In noticed that there were some disounted brands but these shelves were completely empty and there was no one around to ask if there was any left ... If Tesco wants to remain in business in Milngavie then in my opinion it really had to take a good look at itself ... I think that like many other people I know who used to shop at Tesco but now go to Waitrose I will be following soon ...

My father was told from the security he wasn't allowed water in the store in 25 degree heat and he's a diabetic disgraceful he was totally embarrassed and won't be shopping in Tesco bersden again lucky I wasn't with him me and my father expected better from a big brand supermarket quite frankly disappointed at the level of care for a disabled person and why would you not be allowed water in a store in general it's a valid hydration method in the summer Tesco I would love a response in regards to this review and will be filing a official complaint with head office
