Food quality was poor ended up throwing half of it away

We did not get bottle of coke and extra naan that I paid for

Hi i have taken delivery from your place and the food was so so delicious an tasty even i have taken from you few times and its was delicious as same,i have tried many other places in my life but i will say this was the best place for me an i like to thanks all sweet lemon staff for the nice an hot food ,*****

Food was over an hour late. They cancelled the order and we were charged £10.40 to have no food delivered.

Really, really bad. Ordered 2 vegetable thali and 1 paneer starter from sweet lemon. Ordered at 7:45pm with eta of 8:45, arrived 9:30. Less than half the order arrived, only 1 vegetable thali, but without the naan bread, and the paneer starter. I called the restaurant and they said sorry they were busy they’d send the rest. The second vegetable thali didn’t arrive till nearly midnight! And didn’t have the naan from the first thali. Both deliveries of food were lukewarm at best. Food was ok taste wise. Customer service from the restaurant was deeply unsympathetic and they constantly provided estimates of when the second lot of food would arrive which they clearly must have known were not realistic. There seemed to be a belief that poor service was fine when you’re busy? Really disappointing- would never order from there again.

We waited for over an hour for our food after getting a text saying it was en route. We then received a call saying it’d be another 15mins. The food was cold when it got here.

the food is over an hour late and I had to phone them to find out where it was not even a call to say it’s late disgraceful will not be ordering from here again that’s for sure

Food was due to be delivered at 9:10, it arrived at 10:25, all but cold. I rang the restaurant twice in the interim, and they told me they were "very sorry," that they were "very busy", and they would "ring their driver." Meanwhile my family sat there hungry. By the time our evening meal arrived it was almost time to go to bed. What restaurant doesn't expect to be busy on a Friday night? They apologised, but made no offer of compensation for their incompetence. The worst delivery service I have ever experienced. Scarcely credible.

After the food being half an hour late I rang the restaurant and was ensured the food was on my road. Another half hour I rang again and was told another 10 mins. I asked if the food would be cold as I imagined it would of been out the entire time and promised it wouldn't. 20 minutes later it finally arrives without an apology with items missing, stone cold and meat samosa instead of vegetarian. So overall probably one of the worst take away experiences I've had

My order had tipped over in transit and the containers of food spilled everywhere. The bag itself was full of liquid and the naan and papadam were soaked through.

This is the first time that I have tried Sweet Lemon as my usual restaurant was closed. I was very pleased with the excellent customer service that I received. The staff member that I spoke to was very helpful and patient in dealing with my query. My food was delivered quickly and earlier than stated. All my dishes tasted amazing! Thank you for the extras. The delivery driver was friendly and very helpful. Thank you

Butter chicken was overwhelmingly sweet with no other flavour discernible.

I've used this restaurant for nearly ten years and the food has always been excellent. However, today the food was appalling - I wonder if they have changed management? We ordered four different curries but the sauce was all the same save for a few extra chillis - it was hard to tell what was what. The lamb was so tough we couldn't chew through it. The naan bread was awful - doughy with some strange yellow coconut sprinkled in the middle. The mint sauce was neon green and looked as though it was filled with food colouring. I cannot express strongly enough how different the food was from how I've known it before. It wasn't worth the money and was a sincere disappointment. I will find a new curry house in future.

I don't usually leave reviews but this meal was utterly disappointing. The food arrived late, stone cold. Then the whole meal lacked flavour with absolutely no spice. The chicken tikka smelt disgusting as if it is gone off. Not impressed and definitely wouldn't order from here again.

Really quick delivery and lovely service. Very tasty food with distinctive and authentic flavours in each dish. The fish bhuna was particularly wonderful. Very reasonably priced, especially for such great food. Will definitely order from here again. Thanks!

My food was unfortunately cold, my drink was not what I ordered I received a small can instead of a bottle and my bread was missing

Pasanda was bland, no sweetness at all but restaurant apologised. Korma and pasanda very watery and not thick, not enough consistently to sauce and enough coconut, cream or richness, tasteless and chicken pieces very small.

Order lamb jalfrezi just onions in it not what the description stated plus forgotten the sag also in the order

Not good. Possibly the blandest, worst Indian food I’ve had in London - and that’s really saying something in this city! If you’re looking for anything close to authenticity then avoid this place.

Paneer tikka was fantastic. Will have it again. Dhansak really delicious too. Spicy and thick. It was let down a bit by fatty lamb, and not many pieces. If Sweet Lemon improved the quality of their meat a little bit, it would be a really first-rate place.

Service - great Food - wonderful. Right mix of spice and big meaty portions, no filler here. All round brilliant takeaway, couldn't recommend enough.

I have been ordering from here for two years and this was the first bad takeaway. Issue was with the chicken korma and the extra korma sauce. Two different Kormas arrived. Chicken korma was spicy and the extra sauce was thin like water. Edible but not what I wanted. Gutted.

The delivery time may be good but it doesn’t make up for the bad tasting food . The food use to be good but they changed the menu and the same things I usually order ( which at the madras , plain and garlic naan) taste horrible. will not be ordering again.

Only order biryani from here, normally really nice but this time very disappointing. Chunks of white rice in biryani and not the usual flavour. Lamb buna over powered by tomato taste, didn't enjoy this order. Last time they gave complimentary salad but not this time.

I feel like my order was missed, and when I rang the restaurant (3 times over the hour) he just kept lying and saying it was on its way. So, from ordering to delivery, 2hrs for a restaurant that's a 10 min drive away. Food was luke warm.

Korma and curry was a bit too watery. Potatoes in Bombay aloo not cooked fully. Sheek kebab was not great.

Generous portions, arrived piping hot and the sweet lemon chicken was delicious. Friendly service too, will definitely order again. :-)

Disappointing my nan bread was burnt why you thought it was ok to send out is astonishing! Food was also cold but at least that was rectifiable your usually better then that but will think twice before ordering again

Disgusting food. Order was not what we expected. We ordered biryani but they gave us white rice mixed with meat. Naan was burnt. Ordered chicken tikka masala and they gave chicken coconut curry. Vegetable curry was filled with water. Will NEVER order here again, total money waste!!

sweet lemon has been my favourite restaurant up until yesterday I love their meat samosas so decided to order 4 of them this time. two were ok but the other two the meat was rancid. don't think I will be ordering them again.

Me encanta la calidad de la comida y la cantidad. Amplia variedad de opciones disponibles, pero siempre tienden a ir para mi favorito Cordero tandoori tikka. Tiempos de entrega son acertadas y nunca he tenido un problema con la comida fría o llegar tarde. El servicio es excelente!

food was ok when finally delivered called after an hour to ask where the food was and they claimed that they rejected the order. but obviously wasn't on my side. sent the food about 45 mins after so total about 1h45 no apologies unfortunately was prob just unlucky on this day. but won't risk it again.

Not to sure if they used different ingredients or chefs, but it didn't taste as good as before, the mushroom rice was greasy, I remember the tikka masala sauce being thick and creamy before, but this one was watery and no taste, sorry to say but I don't I'll order again any time soon.

I've ordered from Sweet Lemon many times. Did they run out of spices... or new chefs? It wasn't very good which is a shame.

This place is shameful when it comes to delivery. Ordered via hungry house and food was due to be delivered at 7 pm however turned up at 7.50 having made numerous phone calls and being told for over half an hour that food was 5 mins away, longest 5 mins ever! Staff are really rude and when they do not wish to deal with you they simply put the phone down. Food arrived less than lukewarm however driver insisted it was warm and would not take it back as in his opinion he had delivered it at that stage. I would never ever recommend this place to anyone nor would I ever again want to use this place. Worst customer service attitude going who are more bothered about taking your cash and not at all about your food experience. Perhaps dining in is different however I am certainly not going to find that out..

Bombay potatos were missing. Food weren't the same quality as it usually is. Didn't taste fresh. Was quite disappointed today but I've used this restaurant for a couple of years now and would recommend and order again.

Food was nice but the food was 30 minutes later than stated!
