A lovely cafe tucked away in a great location, especially on a sunny day overlooking the river. The cafe feels spacious and local art exhibits are right beside you. The menu is wide and of very good value- i would recommend the ‘hot honey halloumi’ dish or the pancakes for breakfast- great portion size!

My husband had heard the breakfast was really good here so we called in just before Christmas. Our order was taken and our coffees arrived promptly. Shortly afterwards a large party arrived and not long later their breakfasts were served. I assumed they had pre ordered. We then waited and waited for our food. We finished our coffees and waited some more. 40 minutes after we ordered our breakfast it arrived. The eggs and baked beans were cold. Disappointing.

Invited a friend to join me there for coffee. Hadn't been there before. Three members of staff on duty, none of who showed any interest in us - no smiles, no interest in assisting us in choosing what to drink / eat. In short, staff were unfriendly. Air conditioning on which left the restaurant way too cold. We stopped a member of staff to ask if it could be turned down. She indicated that it could be 'doors opening and closing' that was causing it to be cold and walked on. When we went to pay, the member of staff at the counter was on a mobile phone and continued with the call until we asked if she could give us her attention. Nice views and should be a relaxing experience. Unfortunately that was not the case.

Plenty of space and I never feel claustrophobic. The food is good and the staff are laid back but efficient. The only minor critism I have is the menu never changes . It would be great if could be updated once in a while. The cafe is also very child friendly and the toilets are in plentiful supply.

We came here today for first time. Staff were all lovely. We had cappuccinos, which actually had great taste. We also had a scone, which tasted home made. We couldn't get a window seat to overlook the river as it was bunged out. Just deducted a star as no toilet. We used one downstairs ( in the Arts Centre), and it was filthy ( 10.30am). But great spot, hope to be back again!

Have been here a few times and have always found the staff friendly and helpful. There is a good menu and service is good with no long wait between ordering and getting your food. Only complaint would be opening hours, seem to close around 4pm for some reason??

There is a spacious and airy atmosphere in this modern eaterie where you can also sit and admire the works of art on display. Staff are friendly and helpful. There is a good variety of food and drink at reasonable prices. A good relaxing place to catch up with friends or just sit and relax. There is a good view as is upstairs. (I think there is a lift.)

I met a friend here for lunch at her suggestion and was very pleasantly surprised. Unfortunately the soup had run out but I had a delicious toastie. The menu had many tasty sounding toastie/wraps/sandwiches on it making it difficult to choose but I was pleased with my decision. Definitely will return.

I call here on a semi regular basis. The food in general is good, however the shop has issues. The staff are efficient without being friendly and some of the tables are also very low so anything other than coffee can be a challenge. Also, they seem to run out of plain scones very early in the morning. Many times I have been unable to obtain plain scones at 10am, not what I expect from a coffee shop. The location is excellent and the cafe is bright and welcoming.

The Strule Arts Centre Coffee Shop is located just outside the Omagh town centre and close to the South West College of Omagh. The coffee shop itself is can be found on the first floor of the Arts Centre while it is overlooking the river Strule. Even so it is earmarked as a coffee shop the venue is also offering a menu which is not to be sniffed at. The food on offer is certainly of good quality and not overpriced. In fact, we found the portions more than adequate for what we have been charged. Last but not least, there is the coffee that comes in a good variety from Americano to Latte. They certainly know how to make coffee and this place has become one of our favorite venues by now.

Lunched there with a friend a week ago it was most enjoyable. I had soup and a sandwich really good I did ask if the cheese was mature and was told it was however in my opinion it most definitely wasn't.. My friend had a baked potato, very generous portion. Food was well presented and the person that served us was also very pleasant. One of the most desirable things about the café is the out look unto the river its very calm and serene I think. Downside, you are seated quite close to other tables which makes it feel a little cramped. Would I eat there again most definitely..

My girlfriend and I were spending a weekend break in Omagh for halloween. On our first day there (Friday 30th October) we took a walk about Omagh until our hotel was ready. We wandered into Strule Arts Centre. First we took a look at some of the art on display, then we decided to get a light snack and tea/coffee at the coffee shop. The first impression I got was that the staff were quite dour (unfriendly) when we were ordering. I asked for 2 scones, a tea and a cappuccino. The young woman behind the till snapped at me that there were no scones and didn't happen to offer me something else instead. I noticed there were some chocolate muffins sitting so I asked for 2 of those. We sat at a table beside the window while we waited on the drinks coming. A young woman arrived with the drinks and asked who was getting tea and who was getting cappuccino. I said I was getting a cappuccino and my girlfriend was getting tea. The woman then set my cappuccino down in front of my girlfriend and reached the tea towards me. I told her that it was the other way round. She then set the tea down really hard in front of the girlfriend, spilling some of tea over the table, and stormed off. I had to reach over the table to get my cappuccino. It really ruined our entire experience of Strule Arts Centre and I did not enjoy drinking my coffee because of it. I was quite angry and when I went up to pay I asked to speak to the Head Manager. I told her about my experience. I found out that the young woman responsible was called Maud. In a business such as a coffee shop service is everything. You could be drinking the nice cappuccino in the world but not enjoy it because you are made to feel unwelcome. I would not recommend this particular coffee shop.

Ignored for five minutes then took my order. Asked for coffee then told I had ordered tea. Then told it would take at least 20 minutes as there were 20 people before me. Only for a toasted bagel. Alas never got the meal as I was on way to a meeting. Shame as it's a lovely venue.

Visited here last week for a family lunch. The cafe itself is modern and bright with great views over Omagh. The menu choices were simple and delicious, including good veggie choices (a rare treat in Omagh!). Prices reasonable too. The absolute highlight was the veg soup with pearl barley, served with fresh wheaten. The flavour and texture were amazing...

A wonderful setting for a quick cuppa or a leisurely lunch where you will find the friendliest and most pleasant staff at your service. Nothing is too much trouble for Fay, Sophie, Lisa or Maud, as they turn a functional cup of coffee into a relaxing half hour with their smiles, banter and craic. A must for any visitor to Omagh, and also THE place to be seen this year.

Since the demise of Chez Manu there have been many attempts to gain the crown for the best coffee in Omagh. Local, national and international companies have opened up to provide excellent coffee, but they have just missed the edge that makes a perfect coffee. The very friendly and capable ladies in the Strule Arts Centre Coffee Shop have that edge with an accredited fair trade coffee that touches the spot! Partnered with their raspberry and white chocolate muffins MMMMMM!
