steve's Take Away in Ballymena

We ordered burgers they came with stale baps soggy tomatoes and dirty lettuce the chips were also disgusting they had black bits in them and were under fried the man who took the order and served the food had a big cut on his hand and it should have been covered with a plaster of this was the last place on earth I wouldn't go near it.

Good value for money I was really pleased with the Cod and Chips one of the nicest I have ever had. The chips were home cooked (not frozen) fluffy and very tasty. The Cod was delicious and with crispy batter. First class cod & chips. Portion size is generous and I had to leave a few chips as was so full. Definitely would recommend this place.

Spent a lovely day with the family up round the north coast and were on the way home looking for something to eat. Came through Portglenone and saw the big bright sign on the main street. I got the chicken burger and chips, my wife went for the curry option and my 6 year old got a kids meal. This place is such good value and the portion sizes were excellent. Overall a great wee spot.

Really enjoyed my Steve's take away. Fish and chips were of excellent quality. Reasonably priced, premises really clean and staff are helpful and friendly. Would highly recommend

Big Steve’s burger tops the bill for a Friday night treat. The kebabs are well worth a try - lots of fresh onions, peppers, mushrooms and amazing sauce.

Had a large family get together ( some from USA) and everyone wanted a Steve’s for dinner. Used his super easy app to order and then collected in person. Steve’s fish and chips are highly recommended. Order was perfect with everything being correct and piping hot. Customer service excellent too.

Great food and menu. Staff were accommodating. Great selection on menu. Will definitely visit again.

Visited this chippy recently to get some food, the chips I received had no taste and went cold within minutes of receiving them while the sausages were quite spicy and they weren't even put together despite ordering a sausage supper. Disappointed won't be back.

From the best chips to the worst chips since the installation of new fryer, absolute stodge now, not worth it!

Used to be best chips ever but since new equipment installed chips are terrible.. cooked too early then "kept warm" in top glass compartment.. never fresh anymore

I found the staff really nice and welcoming. The curry chip I got was amazing. Chips were some of the best I have tasted in a long while.

This place needs to start giving the right food out. I asked for pork sausages and I was given beef. The staff are not friendly. The cleanliness needs to be fixed. Won't be back.
