Stef's Fish & Chips in Fermanagh

Baps to our burgers were hard and cold but worse of all, was charged £4.25 for a pathetic bag of chips, they barely covered the bottom of the tray they came on. They were also soggy and undercooked.

Family went for a Saturday night meal. Cod & chips was really light, well cooked and the fish was really flaky. Son got taco chip and saucy poppin chicken which was really tasty and the taco chip was a substantial portion. Steph's burger was really tasty and a good portion. They do need to change the music as it sounded like a stuck record. All in all, everyone enjoyed their meals, portion sizes were good and all the food was well cooked. Highly recommended.

The best way to put it, they don't make your order at all. I order a battered burger with bacon only in stefs on the 11th of March 2024 at about 4:30pm to 5:00pm and they gave me a battered chicken burger with bacon only which i did not order, and I have had meny more of the same problem come up and to top it up I call in saying that the order was wrong they just said that's what I said and hung up on me. And I didn't get any refund or correct order back so thats the last time I will be going in there. I would never go there again. And I recommend you don't go there either if you have the same problem as me with them.

Food still on par as of when they opened best in Enniskillen I travel from the Republic to eat here

We live in southern Ireland and we always call in.We think of it as a treat and home from home. Unfortunately this time we were very disappointed. The portion size seemed very small and also the chips were refried so they were very crispy. We have been calling in for the past ten years,And this is the first time that we were disappointed

Just got some fish and chips for me and my 2 son's and I can I loved it everything was tasty and the crack was 90 as they say definitely when I'm for a holiday or day out up here again I'm calling for good food

Got 5 goujons instead of 6 Shocking mate

To be honest I visited today and was disappointed after all the wonderful reviews. We ordered a cod supper and chicken goujons small chip and 2 drinks and it was over £26. The goujons were southern fried (not stated on menu) and really tiny goujons. We were brought cod bite’s instead of cod and were asked would we like them instead. Well no thanks and sorry but don’t think we’ll be back

Food is tasty, chips are great and not greasy! Staff are great and friendly, the young fella very polite and welcoming. The only thing and seen it in other reviews is the draft that comes through that door and the windows. We were lucky it was warm outside but we did move cause of the draft was uncomfortable. Other than that def recommend. Very busy place

once sold cod good, now do not count on it ... the price has not changed, but the quality of fish has deteriorated

Stefs is the best in Enniskillen the staff are kind and friendly nothing is to much for them you don't have to wait for food and the best of all they cook it ftesh

Good quality fish in a light batter with melt in the mouth freshly made chips, enjoyed with peas and coleslaw. Absolutely delicious, worth a drive to Enniskillen for...and the scenery 😉

I live in Leitrim and sometimes drive up to Enniskillen for shopping on our way home we drop in for dinner ..in my opinion the fish and chips here are the best I have ever tasted in Ireland...all I can say is compliments to the chef!

On a weekend to Ensklln we popped in for a quick bite to eat. Lovely big portions of fresh fish, thick tasty chippy chips and yummy gravy . Clean dining areas and friendly staff, totally recommend. 👌

Me and my son Gilbert, sat in on a bright Tuesday Evening. I got a fish and chips he got chips with curry. My fish was raw and Gilbert said his chips were yucky. Staff forgot our dip and I asked still didn’t give it to me. They said the fish was cooked with care. Obviously not, once we went home the night Gilbert felt sick and puked. DONT GO HERE

Taco chip was delicious and good portion for £5.00, very disappointed with the portion of goujons, 4 tiny strips with no dip priced at £3.50 is shocking.

Love this chippy but recently had 2 bad feeds out of it. Got a burger and the bap just fell apart and the chips were mostly crispy and hard. Sore on the teeth. The chips got volleyed up the garden.Great staff and the guy who runs about is sound .

Ordered tonight for take away. Paid over phone was told 40 mins after 55 I rang to be told delivery left ten mins ago so I knew food was not going to be hot. While burgers were lovely the chips were cold and re heated chips are not nice. If going to offer take away then needs be more prompt my delivery was doing Sligo rd then me too much of a wait won't be in a hurry to go back sorry. Plus was very expensive

We're on holiday in fermanagh and tonight just really wanted fish n chips. Steph's was close by. The food was very good I have no faults but the experience itself was not so good. The young girl taking orders and payment was anything but nice it was as if she just didn't want to be there. We can all have our off days but staff are there to assist the customer achieve the best experience. Irrespective of the good food I will think twice about returning as the attitude of that staff member left a taste in my mouth.

Food was cheap and shocking...the wait times are terrible and the are the only take away still using covid rules and you can ONLY ring to collect. This place is a joke and needs real restructuring from the ground up

Accidentally came across this chippy after unsuccessfully trying to find somewhere to eat in Enniskillen Town centre. Was pleasantly surprised. We sat in the cafe and the fish suppers were one of the best I've tried in a long time. Fish batter was light, fish was a generous portion, chips all edible and not overcooked or greasy. Tea was strong and hot. Couldn't beat it for less than £19 for two. Mushy peas also included

Very tasty. Reasonably priced. Had to wait 20 minutes longer than advised but it was exceptionally busy which is a good sign to how popular and good it is.

Been going to Stephs since it opened and loved it but the last couple of times there the chips have just been scraps not the usual big homemade chips they used to serve. You can do better Stephs.

While in Enniskillen for the weekend I popped in to stefs fish and chips for lunch. I ordered a smoke stack burger and a side of chips and my god I have never tasted anything like it... Heaven. The staff are very friendly and seem to have a brilliant team on board. As an ex food critic I watched as my food was being prepared in particular the boy cooking my burger had handled everything with care as if it was for himself he washed his hands after touching any meat and I seen the use of a probe which was brilliant not only did he cook it but also walked it over to my table with a smile and asked how my day was going I was in shock to find out he has only started working in stefs recently as his level of customer care was exquisite hats of to all staff members and I will recommend this establishment to any person passing by I will be back very soon.

Ring in an order you go when they tell you and they don't have it ready they keep taking phone orders when you are waiting and everyone is told the same thing it will be ready in 10 to 15 minutes.

Excellent selection. Friendly staff. Food is of great quality and there is the facility to sit in. Reasonably priced too. Ample parking. One of the best chippy's around.

It can be a hit and miss depending if the leaders are nit there. Their fish is normally good but at £5 for a fish it should be good all the time. Idea is not to leave the young people with out supervision. I dont go back now just in case i am subjected to the thoughtlessly unsupervised.

Stopped for fish and chips . I can tell you as a critic of fish and chips that you won't find better. Beautiful creamy white cod with fine light crispy batter. Sit in or take away. Perfect and will be back next trip.
