I go there regularly and the staff are friendly , offering a nice choice of food , toasted sandwiches, ciabattas and wraps, not too dear . For most of the year, one can sit outside and enjoy the view.

If this café were not a total rip-off, My review would read: A pleasant little park café with lots of outdoor seating. The high point is it's varied menu, the only criticism would be the lack of butter in the sausage sandwich. However, as high prices elicit high expectations, my review becomes this: An unremarkable little café with delusions of grandeur, situated in a park located in one of East London's hyped-up gentrified areas. Its £2.85 for a small paper cup of coffee and £1.50 for a small Kit-Kat, to give you an idea of prices. I run a walking group in the Lea Valley, East London, West Essex areas. This is the first park café we have visited that none of us would want to make a return visit to. This would also seem to apply to the local residents, as there wasn't really anybody else there.

Expensive, small portions, but the park is amazing. Worth to take a small coffee, but not a lunch. Staff seemed to be really angry.

Don’t go here for food. The veggie breakfast and falafel wraps were both horrible, and at the same price as a good cafe in city. Premade half-cooked hash browns and falafel, canned mushrooms... half the wrap consisted of shredded carrot. Mediocre coffee. We were very disappointed. If you plan to come just pick up a fresh orange juice or a tea and enjoy the park, stay away from the food. Side note: no power plugs.

Lovely view. Overpriced, mediocre and half portioned food with a dusting of moody service. Try to help rectify the mistakes in our order and was met with more frowns and long waits. We looked around the tables and all anyone had ordered were tea and canned drinks ( presumably because they were the only things reasonably priced that surely no one can get wrong!)

I experienced the worst service I have had in a long while here last week. Big notices claiming that it would take 30 minutes for orders to be supplied so presumably they were short of staff but the woman serving made no apologies and seemed to think all customers were a big nuisance. She was grumpy and offhand. Coffee mediocre at best and expensive, the place very run down. Will not return.

We visited this little cafe during a walk along the River Lea. It's situated at the top of the hill in Springfield Park in a rather large and delapidated old house which once must have been gorgeous. They offer a really long list of choices and I chose the all-day breakfast which was massive. It was around £7 which also included tea or coffee. I really enjoyed it and didn't have to wait too long BUT I can imagine if the cafe was really busy you might well have to wait quite a while. The two staff at the counter were lovely but really they needed more help as they were expected to take the orders and cook the food as well. Would recommend this cafe.

Springfield Park is a pretty park with lovely views over Hackney Marshes. The Café is just inside the main entrance to the park on Springfield Road. Its a lovely old fashioned park café with plenty of seats inside and out. The view from the outside seats is very pretty over the Lea River and the canal boat marina. The café has a huge choice of both hot and cold food and has a big old fashioned orange press to freshly squeeze your juice while you wait. A lovely café in a very pretty park.

This is my favourite place for a cooked breakfast. They make fresh press juice to order and cook your food to your preference (crispy bacon, eggs fried on both sides etc.). There is an outside seating area in the park which is a great place to eat and relax and people watch and the inside displays local artists work which is changed regularly. They have a great menu and even sell dogs biscuits so nobody is left out. The wraps are awesome, everything is good value for money and they provide free wifi. What's not to love?!!

I led a walk (14 people) stopping at Springfield Park for the lunch stop. Three people braved the queue in the S P Cafe whilst the majority were put off and went elsewhere. I eventually ordered a jacket potato and then waited ages for it to arrive. I did ask for a refund but was advised that my order would arrive in 5 minutes. Well 5 minutes went as did several other 5 minutes. The food was fine and plentiful but had to be rushed to keep up the walks schedule. As it was a the delay was considerable. My thanks to the staff who were working very hard but basically the place was drastically under-staffed. It is fine to offer things such as freshly squashed orange juice but the management need the staff in place to provide this type of service. I have used this venue several times before with no problems but will not be returning again.

The food is basic, but good. It is also value for money. The best thing is the location, at the top of the park. It is particularly nice in good weather, as you can sit out in the park, which oversees the park below (with beautiful trees), the river and narrow boats, and reservoirs.

Such a warm, clean enjoyable place to visit whilst walking through the park. The menu is extensive, the owners are friendly and the food and beverages are good. Great place to meet up with friends. Option to seat inside and out. Seating area is clean cosy and surrounded by greenery which is a really nice touch. Well done. I will be back.

Whilst walking along the Capitol Ring path we stopped at this cafe in Springfield Park and what a great surprise. Wide range of food on offer which was both interesting and tasty. A Turkish slant on what we chose with lots of different flavours.
