The restaurant reads Bangladeshi - it was neither tasted bangla The restaurant reads Indian take away - not even a pinch close to Indian cuisine One of the worst experiences of a take away and the only reason I trusted this being my first time is because the chef(owner) boasted he was known to be best around Neither was I delivered what I asked for - he convinced me to take his best recommended dish and the best turned one of the worst ever in life I would never take time to send bad feedback, imagine my plight if I was writing this much

Food is OK, but quoting 70 mins delivery and then taking over 2 hours to actually deliver is unacceptable.

Really nice meal, great value for money and the staff were very friendly. Would highly recommend. One of if not the best Indian I’ve had in Rugby. Good gluten free options as well.

This takeaway is well worth the wait, it might take a long time, but wow, the food is worth waiting for. We have had our takeaways from here from the beginning of Covid and we haven’t been disappointed with any. Sometimes it does take longer than what they tell you, but certainly better than any Indian restaurant food we have tasted. We order from this restaurant when we have family get togethers, so you can imagine there’s all different dishes ordered and everyone says the same,exceptional food. Definitely one to try.

Ordered a delivery online at 6:38 pm on Sat 8th July and was advised that it would be 80minutes. Seemed excessive - but was prepared to wait. Phoned after 90 minutes to be told that they were very busy and it would be another 30minutes. Waited 30minutes and was told the delivery was on its way. It turned up 15 minutes after the end of the last call. Will definitely not be using them again.

I started using Spices of Rugby many years ago and decided to start using them again very recently. The food tastes amazing and is consistent. The chef guy does a great job of the chicken madras. I I'll be ordering more often. Thank you Mr Chef 🥘

Good Indian restaurant with reasonable price if you pickup and not order on apps. Food is good, spicy, if needed and good staff. Nice and tidy, have a good hygiene ratings as well. Place to park if you want pick up and not in the city centre.

Used to be good. Order often. I’m not sure if it’s changed owners now. Always say around 60-90 mins delivery. Now it’s over 2 hours. We waited 2 hours this time and 3 hours last time. Past 2 times they are missing part of our order. They say “we will sort it next time” and they don’t ofcourse as how would they remember… it’s just not good enough when ur waiting 2 or 3 hours for the food. I understand they get busy but Atleast make sure the orders are correct when people are waiting so long… Last 2 orders we are missing something… that’s 2 times in a row, and to make matters worse curry was very dry tonight with hardly any sauce on at all just chicken really and a much smaller portion than usual. Very disappointing when waiting 2 or 3 hours for food. Will honestly never order again from here and I order 3 times a month for 6 years. It has really gone down hill sadly. Will go else where now, very disappointed. Not what u expect when u order so regular and wait 2 or 3 hours. Really put a downing on our evening. This is how u treat regular customers of 6 years

Food over an hour late asked if we wanted to collect, items missing when finally arrived and everything cold. Understand they are busy but shouldn't have taken the order if not wanting to deliver to a village

The food has always been good, and their local authority hygiene rating is 5 out of 5. 😊 It’s probably time I upped my review score to 5 stars, but I’ll just try one more meal . . . . . . 😋😋

Food is okay’ish but very long delivery time and have to wait more after their initial given time. They also need to update their price on the takeaway menu online they always charge more than the online price.

This is the worst Indian meal I have had in a very long time. You are better off buying a jar of curry sauce from the supermarket and throwing in a few frozen vegetables.

First time using this restaurant take away 10 star rating I am very fussy about my food so outstanding 🤩 Small pieces of chicken in the Korma keep up the good work

I found this from a leaflet drop and normally these are binned but the offers looked good and in lockdown decided to test my tastebuds. The tandoori mixed grill is excellent and the biryani dishes first class. Helpful staff, good service and the offer of buy on get one free on the main dish Sunday - Thursday on collection is even better. Much better than the previous one in Bilton Road and 2/3 the price. Do not forget the spice tray it is freshly made onion, tomato & pickles. Wow!

i have been looking for massala chips In rugby since I moved here, they aren’t even on this restaurants menu but nonetheless the chef agreed to make some using the very vague recipe I had. They were perfect, 😃😃😃I no longer have to drive an hour for actual massala chips!! So pleased, the customer service and helpfulness has made this place my new regular. So nice to have a place that focuses on making every meal perfect for the customer despite already being busy. Can’t recommend enough. Anybody who hasn’t tried massala chips and likes spice then you really need to !!!! Delicious 😋😋😋

The food amazing you could taste all the spices. This beats hands down the more expensive restaurants for take aways in Rugby like Titash / Maharaja who are over priced and no where near as good. Trust me tried them all in Rugby Portions were large, the nans where soft and yummy. If you want a tasty indian meal you won't go wrong here!

We found this takeaway during lockdown, when everywhere else had closed. Their food is at least as good as all of the restaurants in the area, much better than all the other takeaways and their prices are a fraction of the restaurants we usually order food from. THis establishment is a takeaway only, not a restaurant.

I do always collect from this take away so can’t comment on the delivery service which reading other reviews seems to cause a few issues. For me the quality of the food always outweighs any negatives and in my opinion the food here is the best Asian take away in Rugby. I have never had any issues or problems with the food which has always been great.

Excellent food but I always collect, from other reviews I've read long delivery times seem to be an issue maybe they should be more honest when people order.

We have just had a set meal for 2 which cost £20.99 we ordered a biryani and a pasanda, the biryani usually comes with a curry sauce but no sauce arrived, I rang and asked y not they said because we ordered 2 main meals I didn't come with sauce, so I tried to eat it but it was so dry I couldn't what a waste of money, I was told if u spend over £16 u will get onion bhaji free so we ordered a different side dish but no onion bhaji s arrived. Not very good meal at all tonight.

Absolutely disgusting food was 2 hours from ordering mid week. When it arrives it has no rice and everything is stone cold and inedible When I called they were just rude Don’t bother

The service was really good, and because the chef was very buzy, we were given a can of drink each for waiting a little bit longer than expected. The food was very tasty and good size portions. Will definitely go there again

Whenever I order I do it for after 10pm on a wednesday when I finish work and the Restaurant is always understanding. They use great cuts of meat and the vegetables used are fresh and aren't the mixed veg bags you get from Tesco. Always delivers hot on time and I would recommend the Pashwari Naan with meat rezala and garlic rice to anyone. Please keep up the great service!

This is the last time I will be ordering from here. The man who answered the phone wasn't the politest and didn't have a very good telephone manner. He answered the phone with a very abrupt "Hello", I wondered if I had called the right number at first. The delivery driver was polite and brought piping hot food in very good time. The curries were very fresh but extremely bland. They lacked the flavours of authentic Indian food. The naan was also tasteless, I've had more flavor from a slice of cheap white sliced bread. The onion bhaji's were so greasy my hand was wet where the grease has leaked through the bag. They were soft and had a weird flavor, I think it must have been the oil they had been cooked it because the poppadoms (also soft) had the same flavor. The rice wasn't cooked well, almost crunchy. Very very disappointing, and felt like a waste of money.

Great freshly cooked hot food and it arrived early. Highly recommended

Lovely food and quick delivery

Really not impressed with the quality of the food I ordered I won’t be ordering from here again. The rice was hard and Luke warm, the naan was solid like a crisp, the chips wasn’t even a portion, the bag fell apart when taking it out as there was so much grease. The curry was so watery it was basically soup and the chicken in the curry was chewy. The poppadoms were crushed like that had been sat on. When I rang them to find out where my order was after waiting almost two hours all I got was it’s on it’s way, no apology from them. I’m extremely disappointed with the service

Delivery was over an hour late, when I phoned to find out where it was the guy who answered was very unprofessional... which was a shame because the food was quite nice.

Brilliant meal! We placed a large order for a family celebration and everything arrived hot and delicious! Loved it. Will be back :)

The food was so tasty and they were so quick to bring the item they forgot, even before we noticed! Would highly recommend them.

Tikka Paneer was much more charred than usual, the chicken was also quite chewy. Definitely not the good quality we've come to expect from previous meals.

The Korma I ordered was lovely but the sauce was so watery

Food took 90 mins to arrive. When it did, the sauce for the pathia tasted bad/burnt and the meat in the balti was tough and full of gristle. Would not order again.

Placed an order online and got a confirmed time via email. 45 minutes after the supposed delivery time food still hadn't arrived. Called to be told they were very busy and it would be there soon. We had to cancel as it had been 2 hours already. Don't order for delivery from here.

Took two hours to arrive and got the order wrong. A shame as the food was quite nice.

Everything was cold and that spoilt the lovely food, im not happy with the delivery time so don't want to risk a cold meal again sort it out as the food itself is amazing

I ordered 2 x Lamb Tikka Curry’s and a Chicken Korma, 1 mushroom rice and 2 pilau, a garlic naan and a keema naan. The food I got was cooked and hot, but not what I expected for the price. The lamb curry was just sauce and about 6 small chunks of meat, no onions, peppers nothing else in it. It really lacked in flavour and spice. Same for the korma, just sauce and chunks of chicken. The mushroom rice was good tho. I won’t be ordering here again.

Ordered 2 curries at 6:55 They didn't arrive until 8:30 Spoke to the restaurant but the chap on the end of the phone spoke very poor English. I phoned 3 times, the 1st time he picked the phone up and wouldn't talk, the 2nd time he hung up on me and the final time, which was an hour after ordering, he said he would start cooking it! Rubbish service, average food, AVOID at all costs.

Excellent food, although not very hot when it arrived. The order was delivered over an hour after the original delivery time quoted, in all it took over 1 and a half hours to deliver and only arrived after I had chased it. Recommend the food but be prepared to wait

Lots of excuses for lateness, none of them being the restaurant's fault. Not good

After a two hour wait for a delivery it finally arrived,( not the restaurant's fault apparently, they suddenly got busy) my vegetable samosa were in fact lamb. I hadn't eaten meat in 35 years so way to go Spices of Rugby and my husband's prawn puree did not come with the puree. All in all a disaster. I try really hard to write something nice but I can't. I will not use them again and I recommend that you don't either.

Food from here is usually good but tonight was poor. Starters were smaller than usual, lamb in the curry was tough, and it was pretty much cold by the time it arrived. 30 mins late.

Ok folks. Since moving to Church Lawford 5 or so years ago I tried these and have used them ever since. I have eaten in most Indians in Rugby, love the Dilruba (juicy gohst is immense) and my wife loves the Romna. Don’t normally leave reviews but this deserves it. Their hygiene rating is 3 out of 5 and yes they are normally late - just allow an extra half an hour at least for delivery. Just ordered my usual Spices of Rugby special starter and special jalfrezi. All meat big, juicy and tender and tasty. Probably best meal from them ever. I did order early (about 6 o’clock) and know the inconsistencies depend on what time it is,how busy they are and whet chef/s are on and that probably is the same for all takeaways. All in all pretty consistent and very good but I always order b4 7 o’clock 👍🏻🔥

Not nice. The sauce was unpleasant, the bits of chicken were questionable and the peshwari naan was sticky, wet and not nice. Shame because I used to go here a lot but shan’t be returning after this. 👎

Always been excellent so hope this was a glitch - but 45 minutes late, dal was worse than dishwater, naan was totally anaemic, biryani was rubbish and they forgot the poppadums. Complained and they will deliver replacements for free next order but it better be better than good as this was absolutely disgusting and quite frankly the chef that night should reconsider what he or she does for a living .

Ordered for a long time from here .. gradually got slower and slower to deliver and not very helpful when you ring ! Won't order again !! 2 1/2 hour wait tonight ... And wouldnt give a discount off the food ! Shocking service... Lost a regular customer !! If you want your food in less than 2 hours order elsewhere !!

Food was delivered 25 minutes late and was cold.

I have been using Spices for 3 years and always stuck by them as always enjoyed the quality of food. However over the last few months the service has gone downhill, lateness has became the norm with the odd dishes being forgotten also. The final blow was when we had to wait nearly 2 hours for a pre ordered meal and even had to complain to just eat when Spices stopped answering our calls. Sad day, but a long term customer lost.

Very disappointing! Food arrived over an hour late and both of the curries were extremely basic and tasted really bland.

I don’t know what happened but they’ve gone downhill so much, I was understanding on my last order but this recent one was just not even edible, the rice was bitty and had lumps what looked like mushed something which put me off, the chips were dry and over cooked, the curry meat was just fatty and wasn’t chewable, I don’t tend to leave bad reviews but I can’t overlook this

Fabulous food but delivery was awful. Having added 15 minutes to the original time it then arrived over an hour later than that, and only after I chased them by phone. It seems Just Eat orders are put to the bottom of the list.
