Ordered something new. Bang on 👌🏻

We placed an order, this ended up being approx 45 min late and took for us to contact the restaurant multiple times for an update. When the food arrived however it was amazing.

I had a great experience at spice of hednesford Restaurant, enjoying its amazing atmosphere and excellent food quality. The lamb chops were fantastic, and the Chicken tikka was delicious. The service was fast and efficient, with the staff being very attentive. who prepared the shisha in just a few minutes. I let him choose the flavor, and he made an exceptional one for me—it was the best shisha I’ve ever had! spice of hednesford is definitely worth visiting for both food and shisha. Their hospitality is outstanding, and I highly recommend this place!

Order was early. Really tasty even the chicken though we ordered lamb!

Usually really nice from here but very disappointed this time, food was piping hot but most things were undercooked which I don’t understand, the rice was hard, chips were solid and the potato’s were just nasty, this is usually the place I order from never had a complaint but really not nice this time.

Have always ordered from these even going with mum and dad for a meal at the restaurant. Very nice friendly manager is fantastic 100% recommend to anyone to eat or takeout.

Food was just ok , Poppadoms were completely burnt and inedible and went in the bin, the curry and rice was ok just was like warm when it arrived.

Food was eating it was delivered, 15 mins later I had to message to chase this up. Food was cold, naan was burnt and the curry did not taste good. Popadom and sauce were really nice though. Disappointed and won’t be ordering again.

Man Bread look and tasted as though it has been cooked over and over again. The rice was stone cold and the curry was ok. Very disappointing to pay £14 for one curry and in reality I wouldn’t have paid any where near that due to the poor quality. Of the take away 😩

we are new to the area and really wanted a Indian ton so we ordered from the spice of Hensford as we had walked past the other day it smelled lovely but we felt really let down the best thing was the popadoms and sauce the mains had no real flavor to them I had chicken Tikka masala that is supposed to creamy and sweet but what I got was coconut texture to it and the garlic keema naan which again had no flavor unfortunately we won't be ordering again

Food was really good and would have been 5 stars but I ordered keema nan and a plain was delivered.

Great staff and great food as always Updated 21/09/24 Firstly, i must stress that we have used this takeaway for years, never had a bad thing to say about the food, the staff, the time for delivery etc. Tonight, we ordered for delivery, as always we had prompt dleivery and after taking the food inside, that familiar beautiful aroma that we have become accustomed. What i wasn't prepared for was how the food tasted. Now, as I have said above, the food is always good, but tonight's food blew us away. It tasted astonishingly to us, even better than the high standards we are used to from Spices We have eaten in some of the best indiam resstaurants in the world, and I have to say, our little local favoirte has them all beaten tonight, Well done guys

thos was meant to be a delivery but somehow got mixed up on ordering they were polite and got my order out asap they send good quality food out everytime I've never had a problem , and will order from here everytime . really lovely staff that are always polite and helpful.

I have visited the restaurant before and enjoyed it but never ordered delivery. The food was hot and tasty. delivered on time, I will order again!

I can't say enough bad things.Awful, awful, awful. 40 minutes late! Prawn on purée was the most unedible slop. Rubber and uncooked prawns in the same dish. Cold and oily. Yak! I'm not even going to state what the prawns masala was like. £20 in the bin and toast for tea. When I phoned all they said was were really sorry mam. Never again. Complete rubbish. We have eaten in and had takeaway it's always been excellent.

Ordered at 8.45pm, called at 10.10pm to say the delivery was on the way. It is now 10.35pm and still no food! Called numerous times and no-one is picking up!!!

No mint sauce no salad , food excellent but shame the extra bits missing

This is a big favourite of ours. The staff are always very welcoming, friendly and happy to see you back. The food is always fantastic and delicious. We love to come here, as it feels like dining at home with friends.

I had heard good things about this resturant so decided to try it. I didn't enjoy it unfortunately. The curries were poured onto our plates instead of being left in the metal bowls they are cooked in (first time that's ever happened) and the garlic naan was filled with big chunks of raw garlic which was disgusting. Sorry but won't be returning.

I really wanted to like this curry house as its local but I just didn't. The garlic naan was most disappointing as it was full of big chunks of raw garlic. Really not pleasant. I also would have preferred to have my curry in a bowl to put on my plate myself instead of the whole curry going on the plate. Service was fine but sorry I wouldn't go back again in a hurry for the food.

First time trying here. Won’t return unfortunately. Madras was unlike any other madras I’d eaten before… no where near hot enough, spice wise, considering it’s meant to be. Really disappointed. Garlic Nan was full of huge uncooked chunks of garlic. It put me off eating the whole thing. Chips were hard too.

Sides were okay, but the mains were below standard, lamb dansak was probably the worst followed by the mixed grill, chicken tikka masala tasted okay.

Poor return visit. Went week 2 with friends that recommended and VERY disappointed. My mate Roger had two dishes that tasted almost identical.. the Jalfrezi did have peppers and onions on it but the difference ended there. When he asked which was which, the owner kind of took the pee and suggested he should have just had a Dupiazi. My dish was as close to a Naga as a chicken roast… As for Cheryl’s dish, it looked closer to a “chuck up” than a byriani. Very poor. I want to like this place but tonight was not the night. My wife’s tandoori was however the saving grace that gave them 3 stars not 2. I will not be rushing back, although note that my visit 10 days prior was a 5 star!!

More then 2 hours late and still waiting. They say they forgot my order and had to chase my own meal.

We decided last minute to try this restaurant because our friends keep recommending just how good it is. We were not disappointed at all. First impressions walking in is the atmosphere is modern and uncomplicated decor all laid out very well. The staff were very friendly but retained a good professional level. We ordered wine by the glass which was fair priced and then dived into the menu. Choosing a mixed platter to start everything was perfectly seasoned and tender and very “more-ish”. Moving then to a South Indian Garlic Chilli Chicken and a Chicken Tikka Peshwar they were both really delicious and presented very well. The garlic nan was light and fluffy and not too big which suits me. I’d love to try something “home style” by the chef as I am sure he is excellent and sampling real Bangladesh flavours would be even better than BIR recipes. We will be back…. Oh and I forgot to mention the price, excellent value…..see you in the next couple weeks.

the rice was oddly stale and cold, and the rest of the food was generally cold, especially the rice and naan bread. quite disappointing as ive oirdered here before and it was great, but tonight was very bad.
