Spice Island in North Down

Asked for a four ounce, Hawaiian burger, no sauce. Arrived and had garlic mayo sauce.

Forgot to put sauce on top of my pizza and when I phoned them the ended up replacing the whole order, I have not had better service from any where else, it was greatly appreciated thank you

Not nice at all doner meat and chips tasted of pure oil cheesy garlic bread was like eating rubbery cardboard would not recommend

The manager at this place is so rude they got my order wrong and when I called them he just so rude and told me to tell everyone in my town not to order from his shop. The whole thing was his fault for getting my order wrong form the first place. Don’t waste your money on this place

Still waiting on our delivery from 45 minutes ago🙈 ordered on Bangor eats (pre ordered for a certain time) and came an hour early so turned away! Poor service

Tried most of the pizza establishments since moving to Bangor and this is the best.

Ordered a kebab on naan bread. A portion of onion rings & a coke. New style chicken kebab absolutely terrible. Naan bread tough not risen, chicken mostly black & not edible & salad just consisted of shredded cabbage. The whole thing was only luke warm when it arrived & not cheap. How these guys get away with this I don’t know. If I could have driven I would have taken it straight back. In short meat burnt & tasted burnt onion rings no better. New Shawarma from spice island worst kebab I’ve ever had in Bangor & I’ve had a few.

After, you've been to the local bars, this place needs to be you go to place for pizza. I've just eaten the best pizza I've ever had. Owner is very hands on and always there to make sure the standard is kept up. The dough is made from scratch and the toppings are delightful. LOCALS you are so lucky to have this place on your door step. Forget Dominoes this is the place, they also deliver, so there is no excuses not to try the place. Thank you Ali, I'll be back soon, been coming for 6 years now and always enjoy every mouthful. Staff are always friendly and helpful. Support this local Gem... Food was soggy, chips were what can only be described as wet. Clearly been sitting for a while. Not good at all.

I waited on my chips getting delivered to me as my order was short I called the place and they said they were on there way half a hour after my first order so the food was a total waste

There only very few little pieces of chicken. A huge amount of chips. The onion rings were small and very greasy. Unfortunately I got very dissapointed.

Ordered masala sauce and didn’t get it. Too late now, but some sort of refund for it would be brilliant

Not the best tasting Kebab in the world meat tasted like it it was frozen and slightly bland but good service and would do if your hungry on a night out. Wouldn't be rushing back though

To the guys at Spice Island. To everyone that spoke with me (including the very courteous delivery guy who spoke to me 3 hours after delivery). Just eat screwed up! Somehow, and without any interaction from me, it appears to have moved me a couple of streets over. My address hasn't changed in years but for some reason it did tonight. I was a bit frustrated but you guys were still friendly. I'm damned hungry at this point and appear to be down on money (how do you complain directly to JE?) but it's not your fault. So, zero stars for food (however I'm sure my mystery benefactor enjoyed it), because I can't rate it, but 6 for customer service!

Chicken wrap and chips that we ordered were a joke and literally two small pieces of chicken in a wrap for £6.50, the portion of chips was less than a handful. Spice island used to be great but that food was terrible.

I have used Spice Island for years and have had some average meals either through collection or delivery, however last nights 'effort' at a pizza was an absolute disgrace. I ordered a 12" Meat Feast and when it arrived the box felt like it had been cooked it's sister takeaway in Hucknall near Nottingham!! The pizza which is pictured below looks like has been cooked days ago and and should appear in an appeal to be saved. I'll never be back.

Sadly I wont be back, used to love this spot. but good staff are gone and new guys whilst may be good people just dont cut it. Theyve also massively upped their prices as of dec 2022 my fav meal which used to be £5 is now £6.50 now these guys dont pay tax as they accept cash only, so not only were they probably rinsing a fortune charging £5 theyre now charging £6.50 pocketing an extra £1.50 for a tiny pizza which is a ~27% increase yet inflation is around 10% on average. its now nearly cheaper to just go to a restuarant or a cheaper takeaway like the other pizza spots on high street of which there are many

Food was fresh but masala sauce tasted different, preferred it before, was always more yoghurt taste. Tonight was not as enjoyable, very tangy defo different flavour . Please change it back 😀

The delivery driver just left the food outside on the doorstep and didn't knock the door or ring the bell... By the time we knew it was there it was cold and it needed reheated. The cheesy naan had no cheese

Milano Pizza...extremely thin and soggy pizza base...slice of ham, half a thinly sliced shroom spread over the top n a spot of cheese. Tasteless and definitely not good value 1/10.

We got the wrong pizza delivered, rang the shop and they sent the right one straight away so can't complain that way. Unfortunately, it was the worst pizza I've ever tasted. The ham tasted off. The kebab was lovely as usual though.

Order took over the estimated time of delivery. Phoned restaurant and fella on phone was quite “Dry” when I asked about food being delivered on app yet I still haven’t received it. Pizza finally came and was swimming in sauce had to use a knife and fork to eat it. Normally order from here regularly but wasn’t great tonight to be honest. Not usual service.
