Great food, staff are really friendly. Nice quiet atmosphere in the cafe, definitely coming back.

Called in for the first time on Saturday. It was near to closing time so just had a coffee and a blonde. Louie was an absolute delight. So friendly and helpful. Will definitely be back to try the meals.

We were staying at the B&B opposite without the second B, so we came here for breakfast. It's a really nice little cafe tucked away on the main road; far nicer than you'd guess from the outside. The food was good and service was excellent, so I'd definitely recommend it.

I had cheesecakes made especially for my party, they were all delicious, including the vegan ones and Louis was so helpful throughout and even delivered them for free. Have also eaten in before and my dad said it was the best soup he'd ever had. Highly recommend!

Such a nice place to relax for a while, whether you are having a drink or eating as well Nice friendly staff always willing to go that extra mile, nothing is to much trouble. Prices are really competitive 5 stars

Really nice cosy Cafe with really nice food, the staff are helpful and was able to cater for my daughter, with the chef even cutting her food into little chunks to make it easier for her. Highly recommend this place.

Only popped in for tea/coffee. Served quickly, looked clean and tidy. Small place but plenty room. Would use again and looking at the menu would try the food.

Sol Bistro is like the Tardis. Looks small but it opens out to two rooms, the back room can seat up to 6 people around one table. It is a very friendly and welcoming Bistro and their breakfast is really delicious. There are sandwiches of bacon, sausage. Small and large set breakfasts etc. We have tried their sandwiches, which comes with a nice salad and very filling. The 2 guys who run the Bistro are doing a brilliant job, so next Time you are in Cotteridge, pop in and enjoy fresh sandwiches and hot meals.

This cafe /bistro is fantastic food is lovely , all cooked fresh , staff are so friendly and welcoming visit at least twice / 3 times a week .sandwich, cakes so tasty.

First time visit. Great addition to Cotteridge. Thoughtfully decorated interior with two cozy rooms for seated meals. The food is freshly prepared and made to a high standard. The staff are very friendly and attentive. Keep an eye out on their Facebook page for extra events that they might be running in the evenings. Well worth a visit!

After dropping the dog off for a haircut and finding the cafe that we originally intended to go to was closed, me and the hubby stumbled across Sol, purely by chance, hidden in plain sight. Lovely owners, lovely cafe, lovely food. We thoroughly enjoyed it and will definitely be back! 😘

Absolutely lovely breakfast. We had the vegetarian and the Belfast. Both were cooked perfectly and were perfect sized portions. The young man running the cafe was very friendly and accommodating. Will definitely visit again and again.

Highly recommended and a great addition to Cotteridge. Friendly and welcoming staff in a nice environment. I had the Sol Breakfast, which was beautifully cooked and presented. Very reasonable prices. They have good options for lunch and dinner time meals as well, so wiil be going back to sample those!!! Thanks!!!

What a gem this place is. Had a beautiful sourdough egg Benedict breakfast and delicious cappuccino. Was spoilt for choice what to have. Other brunch’s being served looked equally scrumptious. Management / staff are so friendly and welcoming. Deceptively spacious with loads more tables in second dining area behind serving counter. Thoroughly recommmend

I visited today and was welcomed into a warm and cosy bistro! What a hidden gem this place is. We ordered coffee to start which was one of the best coffees around. We then decided to look at the menu and order some breakfast, I had the Belfast breakfast and my friend had the sol breakfast. Both of these were faultless and delicious! We sat relaxed and enjoyed our time here . We needed to head off as we were meeting family friends on the other side of Birmingham but we would easily sit there all day! 100% recommend and really encourage people to go and support them! Can't wait to visit again very soon 😊
