Singapore Garden in Malvern Hills

Ordered a takeaway, got there early so paid for food on card which was £69. Decided to have a pint while we waited, was told there is a minimum spend of £10 for cards. Reminded time we’ve just spend £69 on food, if it’s such an issue, refund me for the food, add on the drinks and then I’ll pay for it all together. Was told no, and that to spend under £10 there would be 50p surcharge. Firstly, Mastercard and Visa don’t allow merchants who use their services to set minimum spends so they’re going against the contracts they have signed with these businesses. Secondly, adding surcharges for not meeting a minimum spend is illegal. I didn’t have the drink, reported to tracing standards, won’t be going back. Food was average and overpriced anyway

Saturday night 7pm booking for six. Place was busy but service was prompt, food on the generous portion side, quality great. Will definitely book again. We over ordered food and they were really helpful with packaging it up in doggy bags so now I have some cold Chinese to look forward to on Monday. Price was fine, toilets clean - its a highly competent local Chinese restaurant. I recommend it.

Another 5* meal from Singapore Garden! Over the past 6 months we have eaten in the restaurant a few times and at the weekend we decided to opt for a takeaway instead. The customer service is always second to none, whether we pop in to order & takeaway, sit down and eat in the restaurant or call to order over the telephone. A special mention to Dinar at the front of house, Singapore Garden would not be the same without her - always smiling and very welcoming. She is friendly and attentive - again, always excellent customer service provided. The meal we had as a takeaway was perfect! Cooked to perfection and we both really enjoyed picking & choosing from the selection of dishes starters/mains/sides we had chosen. A particular mention to the dish "beef in black bean sauce with green peppers" which was delicious and the beef literally melted in your mouth! Another mention to the "vietnamese spring rolls" too - amazing! We will be back soon I'm sure! Thank you Charlie, Dinar and team

We have eaten there twice now and the food is awesome, staff are brilliant, The portion size is excellent, after starters we just share a main just glad we have found our new Chinese restaurant. Keep up the good work guys xxx

We ate quite early in the evening because we were going to the cinema - there were other people eating too so the atmosphere was lovely - the food was excellent with so much choice - the waitresses were very attentive and friendly -hoping to go back soon

Since Singapore Garden moved to say i was disappointed was an understatment . We had Lemon chicken, sweet & sour rice, chips etc Chips were £4 !!!! £4 bloody quid ??? The "sauce" was like a thick jelly , bloody horrible . The chips were partly cooked and egg fried rice was over cooked. We were on holiday , we will be giving this a wide miss next time if were down here.

Booked a table for 7 people… Got there and there as a note on the door saying closed until the 3rd august. Why take our booking if they knew they were closed.. very disappointed.. We weren’t the only people who had booked. They had a name and number to call to let us know they’d be shut and didn’t…

Waited 40 minutes to place an order. Half of the starters arrived with the main courses. Service utterly rubbish - they were all too busy servicing takeaway orders. We travelled to get here. We won't be bothering again. The food was pleasant enough but it doesn't normally take us three hours to eat an evening meal!

Amazing Chinese cuisine that must be tried! My girlfriend recommended this restaurant as she had visited previously with a friend and it was a great shout! We shared two starters and two mains with two sides and it did not disappoint! Fresh, generous, well presented food that tasted just as good washed down with a tsingtao beer! We couldn’t finish the food and the staff were happy to box up our left overs for us to take home! Happy days!

Popped in for a takeaway, very impressed. Good quality food, well packed. Portions generous, and friendly on collection. What more can I say, other than give them a go, we were very happy with the food.

Apart from having a poor online menu we were well impressed. Friendly efficient service, great prices and excellent food. Before they moved the food and service was awful, really upped their game. Well recommended

After previously visiting a year ago and being treated in a dispicable way, seeing several other people leave on that occasion we thought we would try it once more, due to the food being good. After bringing an important client for business purposes we were greeted with a table available in the restaurant which we were taken too, we had been sat down for about 5 mins a rude and abrupt lady came over and said you can’t have this table and you need to leave people were due in in half an hour. We were told the table was free and we sat there waiting to order drinks.My client was extremely embarrassed and I was so annoyed at the way the lady had spoken. We would not recommend this to anyone unless you could be prepared for nice food but rude people.

Had a few takeaways and pretty good. Do a great Singapore noodles. Always ready on time. Yet to eat in, but heard good reports. Would recommend.

Family meal on a Thursday evening. Food good and plentiful. The duck starter was lovely but very large portion. Other starters and mains couldn't fault . Food hot, service good and prompt. Worth a visit!

Had a takeaway from here when on hols in the area. Was ready in 15 mins. Good value. Large portions. Loved the noodle dish and the beef in black bean sauce. Huge bag of prawn crackers. Only disappointment was that the battered sweet and sour chicken balls were rather greasier than I’m used to. But otherwise very pleased. Good front of house staff too.

Unacceptable waitress service serving food with long hair and continued to brush hair back with hands whilst handling food and laying tables very in hygienic and very slow service

Chips that are brown soggy and luke warm at best and shredded beef that's like trying to bite down on a bullet, has it been sat frying in a wok over night?Very poor show, yes they were busy, hence a 45 minute wait for take out food, but if you can't maintain any semblance of quality and can't cope stop taking orders, I'll not be going back.

This Chinese restaurant we have visited many of times now and the food is great and with a welcoming service buy all the staff! Many tables booked in the past and some takeaways that match! Thanks to you all! Great service and amazing food!

We went last night for a meal from the minute we entered we were ignore by the Manager and the staff.. I had to go to the bar to order drinks as the staff were busy gossiping amongst there selves.. I ordered wine and a pint if lager which arrived at the table.we had the menus for about 20 minutes, I had to get the managers attention and asked if they were still serving as no one wanted to take our order, she said they were and came back and took our order. the food was not great at all and I sent my chicken chow mein back as it was really salty, the took it away and took it of the bill I asked if she had taken the curry sauce off the bill as it was ordered to go with the chow mein and so was no longer required, she shrugged and took it of the bill.overall it was one of the worst dining experiences I have had in a long time! we were made to feel unwelcome the whole evening, tried it but never again.

We saw some of the negative reviews here and to be honest, wondered what went wrong. We use this restaurant fairly regularly and have rarely experienced any problems. The food is freshly cooked and usually very tasty, the staff especially Dinah, are excellent. The restaurant does get busy when the local language school has students in residence but there are fewer students this year. Likewise if you go in for takeaway at a busy time there can be a bit of a wait but we prefer food that's freshly cooked and are happy having a beer and chat while our meal is prepared.

Waited maybe an acceptable 20 mins with a beer for our take-away dinner (will pre-order next time). Very presentable restaurant, lovely friendly & professional staff (owners ?) Dinner - very tasty & good quantity - recommended

I went for a takeaway, i waited one hour and 3 minutes, at 47 minutes I said, if you had told me it would be this long I would have gone elsewhere. The reply was simply, we are busy???? Then why keep taking orders or at the very least say, it will be over an hour! The food in my experience here isnt great but I wanted fast food, not an hours wait. I walked out and went to the chip shop, its a disgrace. If you dont have enough staff hire more! £17 for nothing, they couldnt even give me an estimate

We had a takeaway at the beginning of the year after waiting 40 mins over our pick up time food was bland, watery and worse still one main was not what we ordered! We rang and finally got through they said next time we ordered they would refund us - they seem to forgot that on our next visit! We thought we would give them a 2nd chance and eat in Big Mistake!! We sat down waited 20 mins to order a drink a further 20 mins to get our drinks and 1 hour for our starter! The were too busy fussing round and serving st michaels college students. When mains finally came out nearly 2 hours in only have our meals came I had nearly finished when my husbands food arrived - again food bland, watery

The food is poorly prepared, sauces not very good, food unimaginitive and bland. I love Chinese food, I have eaten in China, Hong Kong, US, pretty much everywhere. It is better than the other place in Tenbury but that isnt a recommendation. I will be travelling elsewhere to get a decent Chinese takeaway, it isnt even cheap. Very little to recommend. You can tell there is a captive and not very fussy audience. I wouldnt bother, ate twice there, I wont bother again

We met here with friends we hadn’t seen for ages. This was the ideal place... they got busy when the fireworks closed but they didn’t rush us.

Pedí una para llevar entrega especificando que quería salsa barbacoa con mi pollo maltratada pelotas no dulce y amarga. La señora nos dijo que estaba bien. Me dijeron que sería una media hora, eran 15 - 20 minutos más tarde. Cuando finalmente llegamos me dieron salsa dulce y amarga a pesar de que había puesto de relieve en su propio billete entrega la orden era una barbacoa! Llamé para decírselo y me dijeron que iban a entregar la salsa barbacoa enseguida. 20 minutos habían pasado, Mi comida estaba fría y la comida hubiera sido sin la salsa. Yo les llamé de nuevo para preguntar cuánto tiempo estarían para ellos dicen que no saben y que el chico de la entrega es de cajero automático. En este punto yo no estaba contento con el servicio y me dijeron que ella. Entonces ella dijo que alguien camine a mi domicilio con la salsa! Cuando finalmente llegué a comer mi comida no sabe bien de todos modos! No vamos aquí, es 10000 x mejor yuewah simplemente una vergüenza que no entregar!

4 of us had same set meal barely enough for 2 people, cost us £76 total rip off ,won't be eating there again

We ordered a takeaway for a party of 10 adults using the set meals with some extra portions of chips - a simple order in reality but when we arrived to collect our order, we found the portions of chips had been missed off. It wasn't a problem to add them back in because the food wasn't ready when we arrived at the time advised by phone and it ultimately turned out to be about 30 minutes late. The restaurant side was very busy and I don't know if that affected the takeaway side, but the food when it finally did arrive was delicious - an excellent Chinese meal!

Happened upon this place as we were looking to eat somewhere pre-gig at the Regal. We ordered the set menu and it was really good - varied, well cooked and tasty. The staff were friendly and helpful and the range of drinks was excellent. Everything was also very sensibly priced.

The venue is pleasant enough, with excellent service, good food that is really fresh, cooked at the moment, no MSG, very good portion size, and excellent value for money. If you want good Chinese food, and taste/quality is more important to you than looks... Then this restaurant should be on your list. Excellent quick service, extremely welcoming and pleasant staff. Simple comfortable decor.

Moved from Northamptonshire and missing the food already! My chow mein was made with over cooked sloppy noodles and didn't actually taste of anything and that applies to everything else. This is the worst take away food I've ever had - binned the lot.

I think their food could have some more seasoning...it's not bad but it's something you would think a beginner would cook. Staff are really friendly and helpful. The restaurant also looks nice, so I hope a few adjustments in the cooking will make this place a must go = )

Very tasty food, fresh & hot even after the 7 mile trip back home. Will be back very soon as this is the best Chinese takeaway I've tried around the area yet!

Me and my partner came here for our anniversary meal. It's not a very romantic place but we both honestly love the food here and have yet to be disappointed. It has good food, welcoming staff and yummy prawn crackers. We both enjoyed the food and we both think the price was worth it. In my opinion, the duck green curry is the best, and my partner just likes his crispy duck pancakes. It was a lovely restaurant though, but the staff sometimes don't seem to hear or see us when we're trying to get their attention, other than that, there's nothing really wrong.

After visiting this restaurant twice before with satisfactory service and food we were very disappointed by this latest experience and it will be our last visit unless we hear better reports. Although advertising and offering Thai food it is in reality a Chinese restaurant.The Tom Yum soup did not look or taste like Tom Yum and although they attempted to correct the matter it was not worth ordering. We also sample thed spicy mushrooms and found them very greasy as was the pad thai. The deep fried squid was marginally better. There was no mood music and the other customers made for a very noisy atmosphere. I did ask if a new chef was being employed but apparently not. Rather disappointed.

This place is a little gem. The staff are lovely, great food and a warm atmosphere. The food is well spiced and very plentiful. The prices are quite reasonable. Very varied menu, we had the Thai curries and they were lovely. Ensure you state how hot you want your curry. Well worth a visit for a different type of meal.

A consistently great restaurant! I've been here 3 or 4 times over the years and each time I've had great food-I really should go more often! We had half a crispy duck and there were more than enough pancakes for the three of us. Our main courses were delicious from the vermicelli noddles to a sizzling beef dish and my king prawn and roasted cashew nuts. The Petit Chablis wine was incredible and a great price. We'll definitely go back. Service was a bit slow but we weren't in any hurry.

Large portions but even larger prices. The food we had was fine but nothing exceptional. I ordered a pint of lager and was presented with something that resembled duck soup and tasted way off the mark. Maybe I'm spoiled by living in an area with restaurants which have to offer quality and prices that reflect the large amount of local competition.

I have eaten here a few times both in the restaurant and takeaway. My experience with both has been incredible and we go back time and time again! Cannot believe that it is rated at number 12 in Tenbury and Naz's is rated number 1...considering Naz's one of the worst takeaways I have ever had. In the restaurant the staff are charming and polite, always on hand to get you anything you need. The portion sizes are very big both in the restaurant and for the takeaway. Never had a problem with them and will continue to eat there!

New to the area we stumbled across this restaurant looking for a late casual supper. I suspect it does not market itself as a fine dinning experience but the service was very friendly, food good, licensed and reasonably priced. Fitted the bill, we'll be returning.

Visited twice and closed both times. Although inside the tables were laid, the menu in the window was very faded and we wondered if the restaurant had closed. There was no indication on the door. We therefore suggest you check before visiting.

although we were the only diners on a tues night there were lots of takeaway customers ,still the young lady behind the bar was very nice and created a lovely atmosphere. the food was delicious and we would eat there again

There are many different types of food on offer in this place. The service is OK but there were a lot of young people in there being served and making a bit of noise possibly drinking too much. The food tasted good and there was enough. The pricese were reasonable

We had a takeaway meal for two from the Singapore Garden and the service was swift and very friendly. It's really for this reason that I have awarded three stars rather than two.The meal itself was OK but certainly not the best I've had. Portion size was fine but what really pushed the meal down to a two/three star score was the fact that the meat dishes we ordered were sadly lacking in meat and instead padded with pineapple. I love pineapple but we ended up with nearly a whole container of the stuff. It did smack of using cheap ingredients to keep the cost down whereas the price we paid was similar to other restaurants we've used in the area.

I've used this restaurant on a regular basis for (about) the last 10 years for take-away meals. Although not cheap, the restaurant has a good selection and overall represents excellent VFM. The food is always fresh, well cooked and hot; the service is good too. I've eaten at a lot of Thai / Cantonese restaurants over the years and this as good as many equivalent eateries in 'China Town' in London and Manchester.
