Proper sandwich, tastes great, brilliant value and friendly staff. Massively worth a visit or two to try the different ones on offer

Reasonable prices but it shows in the quality of the ingredients. Spicey meatball sandwich is just canned meatballs in a tomato sauce (not spicey). We orderded Milano but think we ended up with a chicken club sandwich, the bread was OK but you get what you pay for.

Had an award winning milano sandwich, and I was not disappointed! Usually when something that says award winning and such, your own expectations ruins the moment, but not this one.

This cafe is nothing but the best I have bin to and the food is fantastic in there great service great staff. The staff are tremendous big job for them getting up early to come open up serving customers every time it's a vert much-loved cafe get down to the cafe for your hot&cold foods and cold drinks. Complete your order at the front of window then once ordered step round on tib Street side for your collection.

A cheap and cheerful sandwich stop on the corner of a NQ street. I can’t believe I’ve never noticed it before. It’s takeaway only, and there are often people waiting- but that gives you a chance to browse the menu. I went for a meatball sandwich, served hot and zingy.

Use this place alot, opens early great for them hangover breakfasts, nice food great prices, perfect for construction workers like myself

Astonishing selection of sandwiches that are not only amazingly priced, but also really tasty. Great tiny place to get a bite from while wandering in Manchester's streets. Went there twice - both times the sandwiches were extremely appetizing.

Had the chicken, bacon and pesto sandwich. One of the best on-the-go sandwiches ever. Staff were lovely. Will deffo be trying their breakfasts next time I'm on my commute.

Had probably the best sandwich of my life here rivaled only by this one sandwich I got in florence that i dropped on the ground upon receiving it and continued to eat that’s how good it was like it was amazing and the ingredients were so fresh and good I literally think about that sandwich once a week at LEAST i got this one with prosciutto and basil and mozzarella and I was actually vegetarian at the time but I was like no i have to eat this because it was that good anyways this place was okay also. When I was paying my card took a while to go through and that was embarrassing! Other than that very tasty. Which award did the Milano sandwich win thats the one I got it was good

Great choice of freshly made sandwiches served warm/grilled 😁 Service is super friendly and personal, always a good experience here. Really good prices too. The waiting time isn't too long even with a few people in front of you.

I had a vegeterian Sandwich with grilled vegetables and feta cheese. Whilst the bread was surreal (by far the best bread I've ever had in the UK), the vegetables were really oily and weirdly combined -there was eggplant, peppers, corn (?)- and the feta had a weird aftertaste. In conclusion I would reccomend this place but definitely NOT the vegan Sandwich with grilled vegetables

I'd been once before for breakfast when we were deeper in Lockdown and this was one of the only places open and was wowed with the quality of the food. Best in the city centre and I've tried them all by now. But today I went in and was recommended either the Milano (which I will try next time) or the hot beef and mozzarella with tomato relish (which I went for on a seeded "Frisbee" bun which came flattened as if made in a panini warmer) From the first bite I was bowled over. All ingredients were tasty and generous but the relish which was tangy and spicy really pulled everything together. I don't usually review places I eat, doesn't occur to me a lot of the time. But I had to share how much I love this reasonably-priced business. The staff are charismatic and warm, the food is better than the vast majority of homogeneous Manchester City Centre eateries and the customer service was beyond excellent. Can't recommend enough.

I was attracted to them by the award-winning Milano (which I recommend) but what keeps me going back is the great service, reasonable waiting times, homemade cakes and friendly banter. Even though I’m not a regular they let me owe for a sandwich and drink them when I had a problem with my card. I think I will be a regular from this point onwards as it’s just near my office and in the vibrant Northern Quarter, oh and did I mention the buttys are mouth wateringly good!

If i could rate it 6 stars, i would. I have been going to Rustica for my lunch for over 8 years. The food is great, a massive selection of hot and cold foods. Brilliant quality of service and food. The most down to earth staff and the prices are brilliant, to say this is in the heart of the Norther Quarter. A must try for anybody who has not visited!

Disgraceful. I asked for a chilli baked potato and was given slop made from a tin of baked beans, tin of tomatoes some cheap mince and a pathetic excuse for a side salad. On phoning to complain I was given no apology, told that this was how chilli was made and if I wanted to complain to contact the owner. Really bad attitude, awful food and very poor service.

Can't beat a good breakfast at Rustica. The ladies in there are nice, and the food is generally quite nice. Good for a hang over too.
