We fancied some chips saturday afternoon ( just gone) so we called in to this fish bar and I must say it was lovely to have them from there because as you all know I will only have food from a clean place and a clean building and this was a clean fish bar , plus they cook other take out meals and offer a delivery service so they got the lot going on and still friendly . My hubby had to wait for a fresh lot of chips which happens and they were well worth the short wait. We had a fishcake , pie, chips and a tub if gravy and omg they were absolutely beautiful. The service was great nothing to much for them with a good atmosphere so yes it well worth a stop you guys give it a go because with what we had it will not disappoint you. They gave us a menu leaflet and wow there is lots on there something for everyone so we are going to order something different next time to have a delivery service but I'm sure it will all be great i will come back and let you know how it goes as we live in tredegar and hopefully it will still be hot . What a feed. Cracking chippy. Had no cheese and onion pasties. Owner went out and actually bought one. Fantastic service fair play and good chips.

Watch you charged the correct price for the items your paying for. The chips were undercooked the other food overcooked as they were left in the hot area too long. Will not shop here again.

Me and my wife were visiting wales and came across this chip shop. It was fantastic. The chips were fleshly made, the batter sausage was fresh also and the hospitality from the team was unmatched. Thank you. Next time I visit Wales I will be back

Popped in by chance the owner was very welcoming my son was impressed to see his gold teeth only when in for chips came out with a big bag extra food smashed the lot fair play get in there you won't be disappointed 👌👍

Absolutely Delicious! I recently visited Rassasu Fish and Chips Bar in Ebbw Vale and ordered the mixed meat chicken doner and lamb with chips, and I have to say—it was one of the best meals I've had in a long time! The chicken doner was especially amazing; the spices were spot on—not too much and not too little, just enough to give that perfect tickle on your taste buds. Every bite was packed with flavor, and the lamb was cooked to perfection as well. The portion was generous, and the whole meal left me wanting more. Definitely recommend if you're in the area and craving something tasty!

Wow what can I say best fish and chips I have had in a good few years ! Spoilt for choice in Cardiff yet I found myself in Rassau and I was blown away, absolutely delicious, premium, clean, tasty and spoilt for choice .... solid 9* chip shop curry is also a must try .

Second time we have popped in for food, always greeted with a smile from Imran and staff always cheerful. Great food and atmosphere. Everything cooked fresh so it takes a few minutes but you know what your getting. Thanks for the service.

Upon my arrival in Beaufort I was advised by a wise man in the Greyhound pub that there was simply only one place to acquire my chippy tea. That place was ‘Rassau Fish Bar’. Boy was he right. Imran, the owner of this fine establishment, has simply coined the term ‘service with a smile’. Him and his son were grafting their hearts out behind the counter to provide me and my companions with only the finest of fried goods. He even gave us a few items on the house due to a wait in the shop. I was blown away upon tucking in to Imran’s cuisine. I can’t stop thinking about it. I will be telling everyone I know to travel to Rassau Fish Bar, even my cousins on the Isle of Wight. Thank you, Imran and co. Keep slaying the chippy grind. And remember… happy wife, happy life <3 OF. Ps you HAVE to try the chilli bites!!!!

In connection with a review I left requarding being over charged the next day while walking past imran came out and said he had realised he had not given me enough change the night before and give me the £10 so all was sorted thank you for your honesty 👍

Had the pleasure of meeting the new owner Mr khan this afternoon and what a luvly genuine guy both other staff on shift were just has nice, food was beautiful freshly cooked. My grandson was over the moon with his free dessert the biscoff cheesecake and absolutely beautiful it was to, I will definitely be calling again.

Well above-average fish and chips. Fish was flaky and reasonably priced. Shop was clean. Döner looked really good - I’m probably get the chicken one next time. Boss man was generous and seemed genuinely thankful for our custom. Definitely going to return when I’m next in the area.

First order turned up without being cooked. Chicken curry was fresh out of the fridge. Restaurant did send us a replacement and went out of their way, however quality of the second meal was not good. The food had leaked through the tray and bag. Chicken was quite rubbery and still not as hot as it could have been. Staff I spoke to were very nice but food was very poor

Food arrived promptly but not very warm and most of the chips were hard. Last week they were amazing. These ended up in bin.

I buy from Rassau semi-regularly for my Mam, who loves a fish supper on a Friday. New owners have taken over recently, and she pronounced her Fish & Chips THE BEST, even surpassing Hilltop, which until recently was her favourite locally. New staff are very welcoming and friendly, and though some food is prepared to order, it's a lot faster than the last owners, which is important when they are also fulfilling JustEat orders. Really good service, and I hope they can keep it up.

Regularly eat from here but new owners have taken over. When I went in the owner was super friendly great with my son had all our food ready and hot.. Chips really fresh and hot. Amazing the amount of chips we had too as I noticed alot of places are making their portion sizes smaller so it's great to see a place actually have large portions!
