We came in a party of 26, having pre-booked. It took an hour just to get the starters. The food was unhealthy, insipid, and lacked vegetables.

We come to this Pizza Express quite a lot. The staff are really pleasant and the atmosphere good. This time, however, it was like the staff were on holiday in the kitchen. The waitresses and the chefs were stood around chatting, one of the chefs was on his mobile in the kitchen, then they moved outside chatting. The starters were half cooked and not crispy, the pizzas were fine, the hot drinks were off as the machine was broken - how difficult is it to make warm milk and add coffee.

The staffs especially the manager did a great job accommodating us 5 families (11 kids 14 adults) without hesitation. We were all in a holiday and decided to eat together somewhere. The food came in a timely manner and staffs and the lady manager are brilliant. They deserve a raise!!

The food was good however they charged us for a margherita pizza that we didn't have. I realised on the way home and when I called them querying this, they said it was a mistake and will contact head office to get it refunded. A week has gone and no refund has been given. I wonder if they thought because we were a big table that we wouldn't realise we were paying for stuff we didn't eat. Top tip - if you go, check your receipt.

An Italian restaurant, chicken and meat are not halal, but you can order pasta or vegetable pizza that is halal. The food is delicious and excellent, the workers are respectful and helpful, and it is worth a try. We tried the veggie pizza, margherita, garlic bread with cheese and potatoes.

Great pizza and a great local venue

They never answer the phone. What's the point in having a phone number on your website if you never answer. And the times they do answer, you just get background noise and no one bothers to speak to you.

Very pleasant staff. Unfortunately 4 hairs under my pizza. Chefs had hats on, one was a cap that he kept fiddling with. The manageress gave me a fresh pizza and did not charge me but I will not return. Overpriced.

What a great meal. Fantastic tasty pizza, cooked perfectly. Full of flavour, fresh ingredients and great service to match. We had the dough balls which were lovely and bruschetta that had such a nice mix of flavours. Followed by the Spicy Giuseppe and an American Hot with a BBQ base. Both absolutely spot on.

I’ve been into pizza express ciren twice and it’s been great. Super friendly great food and efficient service. I ordered on Deliveroo today and it was just as perfect! Beautiful food and a great little surprise 😁

Second visit. Friendly and prompt service, but very noisy, with family groups and children running around the place, with little respect for other diners. It was not the best experience.

We’ve just had the most brilliant meal at Pizza Express Cirencester. Excellent EXCELLENT service, great food! We were created with smiles from all who work there and they could not have been more friendly and lovely throughout the evening. They all helped us thoroughly enjoy our evening which was a special treat for our daughter. Thank you PE Cirencester!

I come here at least once a month, often more. Staff are absolutely lovely, know our group of friends by name at this point and with one of them coming in weekly we are very frequent customers. Three of us are gold! Food is always absolutely top notch, I’ve never had a bad experience there. The location of the shop is perfect relative to the college and the building itself is great, well kept and always clean. Prices are amazing especially combined with the UNiDAYS bonus/Club Rewards, and staff are always absolutely lovely. I look forward to our visits every time I go and won’t be stopping. 10/10 in all aspects. TLDR I’m a regular visitor and I love it. Thanks for all, Harrison

Overall, another great experience, place was packed with that you the process from ordering to eating was slightly longer than we wanted but was expected.

Fantastic staff and food faultless

Service was prompt and very friendly. The sever made great suggestions and knew the menu very well. The pizza was less than desirable. A frozen pizza would’ve had more flavor and toppings.

Food was tasty. Service was good. It was a great place to eat late on a Sunday when many other places were closed.

It was certainly "express", both service and food. Even so, our pizzas were already lukewarm to cold when we received them (were they surplus to requirements from lunch perhaps?) And the dough was well, just soggy. Sad. Definitely not like the Pizza Express of old.

This was a takeaway. We came here as it was late and other places were closed. We have not been here for a while and were uncertain what to expect. However, we both really enjoyed our Romana pizzas. Extra thin bases as we like them with fresh tasty toppings. Will definitely be back.

We went to this restaurant for my daughter's 13th birthday. On arrival we were frog marched upstairs to be informed there was no heating. We sat chilly waiting 55 minutes for pizza to arrive which turned out to be burnt. Rather than complain I ate my pepperoni pizza. My daughter's pizza barely had any cheese. Pizza express used to be consistently good, something has changed.

I realise in this current day and age times are tough, restaurants must make their money where they can. However a chain asking £7.45 for 4 Christmas doughballs, absolutely scandalous

friendly staff, however the pizza we recieved did not have alot of topping on it, very poor, and very expensive for you you get. not recommeded, as ther are others nearby.

Food was not great, you can find much better pizzas in Cirencester. It was expensive too for what you got. If you only go here you won’t know the difference I suppose. I ate it as you can see. A little robotic for my liking.

Lovely Gluten Free pizza as always and unlike other branches this one serves food quick and somehow cheaper than my local branch

The site said my food was ready after 10mins of me placing my order (and you can see why it was so fast in the pictures) but I didnt recieve my food until 45mins after ordering. Of course when it did arrive, the food was cold but not only that, half of the pizza crust was burnt and the doughballs were small and mostly stuck to each other. Just reheating it again to make it edible made the food dry out. Very disappointed as I've been having Pizza Express pizzas and doughballs from the store, maybe store bought is the way to go unfortunately...

In my opinion this is the best restaurant in Cirencester with the best team! I thoroughly enjoyed our meal last night.

Excellent pizza, probably the best we have had.

The pizza wasn't terrible, but it had us desperately reaching for condiments to try to add some kind of flavor to it. I think they need to work on the tomato sauce they're using.

Excellent friendly welcome, with the team member asking on arrival about allergies, which we had in our party. Both my children have multiple allergies (my daughter has an epipen) and are always well catered for at Pizza Express. The allergy menu was given alongside the vegan menu (we had another member of the party eating vegan food) , the kids menu and normal menu. It was easy to check through the meals for allergens although I did notice 'tree nuts' were lumped together- perhaps this would be feedback to pass along to HO that identifying which tree nuts are present in dishes would be a further step forward for those with allergies. We wrote down all allergens for my children so it was flagged up for the kitchen immediately. We ordered with ease, making a few amendments (e.g. no hummous with the vegan dough balls due to sesame allergy) although with a different waitress. Food arrived and enjoyed by all. Our pizzas had tomatoes on them to identify vegan cheese. Food was hot, delicious and we felt very safe and well looked after. I miscommunicated with the waitress about bambinocinnos and cows milk were ordered instead of oat milk- my fault entirely but easily rectified and all in all a very easy, stress free, enjoyable experience eating out (which is a rarity with multiple allergies). I wish other restaurants were as transparent as PE. Thank you again to Cirencester staff- both front of house and kitchen staff, we will be back again next time we stay in Cirencester ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Busy but good food and kids love it. However if you don't have kids probably better quieter places.

We were in the area and decided to pop into the town to get something to eat and ended up here. The place was busy but we managed to get a table. We ordered food and drinks, I had the 'sloppy giuseppe' pizza which was really nice, the dough balls were nice, I tried some of the 'pasta bolognese' which we ordered for child which was nice. We had the garlic oil and chilli oil which one of the staff members just took it off our table without asking whether we had finished with it and we had to ask another member of staff if we could have some garlic oil again. We also had the ice cream from the kids menu which was nice and was proper vanilla ice cream. Overall the staff seemed friendly and helpful. The food was good. The place was relatively clean. If you are in the area and this is a nice place to eat.

I don't usually leave reviews, but the lady that served us yesterday (31/07) in the Cirencester branch at around 1.30pm-2pm was amazing! There was a large group of us, as it was a family gathering. We were all amazed at how attentive she was (sorry, I can't remember her name). She got us all drinks straight away, even though we arrived at different times (we are chaotic). Got the kids their food straight away, so they didn't have time to get bored of sitting still. My son has an allergy to diary, so she got him a pizza made with special cheese and got him a pudding right after. All our food was delicious, served in great time and remembered correctly. At the end, we all needed to split the bill different ways. She managed to remember what everyone had without being prompted and made the whole transaction very smooth. I am very impressed overall by the experience and her awesome service! Thank you

Lovely pizzas and great service, so nice we went twice during our one week stay in area. My friend I was travelling with is an Italian restaurant owner and spoke very highly of the food so that is high praise indeed!

How this chain has fallen from the grace. Bland food, small portions and a below average experience are now the marquees of Pizza Express.

We have eaten at a lot of Pizza Express restaurants across England, this is possibly the best one we've been to. Service was fabulous. Not much to say about the food, it's exactly what you know and love!

Early Friday family dinner with young children. We were well looked after and food was delicious. Good value children's meals.

As chains go Pizza Express are one of the best - much more authentic than Pizza Hut et al. Good selection of food, with lots of vegan and vegetarian options. Service here was good, though it was rather warm, so dress appropriately on hot days.

Great food but disappointing seating tucked away on the side with a tiny table

Food was really delicious, with great service. We didn’t catch the name of the waitress who served us today at table 24, but she was friendly, efficient, helpful, and knowledgable about the food. Nothing was too much trouble for her. Would recommend coming here to eat.

Great ambience, good quality of food as expected from Pizza Express, excellent service from friendly staff. I will visit the place again. Free parking is available close to the place after 6pm on all days of the week. The place looks a bit cramped and the tables are closer to each other than I would expect.

Good pizza express, friendly staff, decent food. Update - Menu has recently been updated to include more veggie options and there is a dedicated vegan menu too. I'm still not sure that they quite have the new menu right, but they're getting there. Of course, you can always swap things on your pizza to make it what you want!

A quiet lunchtime visit. Attentive service to cater fir our needs. Always feel Pizza Expresses are light on toppings for pizza and not particularly good value for money However this outlet is conveniently for parking and a short walk. NB this outlet will be closed on 24 January for refurbishment.

The place and staff were very nice and to point out it is a baby friendly place, they offer my baby a coloring book to play with. Food was really fresh and delicious, but the only issue is they are late at serving the food.

Probably the second best pizza express I've visited, and I've been to a lot! Service was impeccable and super attentive, food was great and the atmosphere was just right. Bravo!

My favourite place to have Italian pizza. Good wines, nice pizza and excellent service. However every biz starts to decline if management gets extremely greedy. I noticed many new kids hired recently, skilled staff is gone. They are accepting take away orders during peaking dinner times. Incredible. This place is on a slope to misery. Next time will call Domino guys, at least they are not pretending to be an Italian pizzeria. Nduja calzone pictured - size of a small snack. Considering that’s the most expensive meal; have to say - thanks a lot! Never ever. Oh and finally must mention - small kids all the way. Yelling, causing terrible mess and chaos.. Conclusion - if fancy to have their pizza: come for lunch during working days, avoid visits during weekends and plan your dinner to start after 8pm.

The waiting staff were very good but first two pizzas burnt, sent back. One of next two pizzas also partially charred. We took it because we were hungry and had already waited some time. They took the price of one pizza off the bill. Sorbet was good.

Appalling attitude of manager who couldn't care less that we had waited an hour. No customer care before that to say sorry about the wait. All the staff wouldn't make eye contact. Would have given 0/5 if I could.

Had a terrible experience at Toro Lounge in Cirencester where they closed the kitchen before serving our food, so at 9.30pm on Thursday 15th April, having not eaten, we went up to Pizza Express knowing that they would be one of the quicker restaurants to get some food. On entering, we were told that they closed at 10pm, but after we told them what had happened, the lady in charge said to come in, and she would make sure that their kitchen stayed open long enough to make us some pizzas. We had first-class treatment from Patty and her team there, they were all fabulous and definitely made up for the earlier experience. I had my parents over for the weekend and wanted to take them and my kids out for dinner and Pizza Express were superb tonight. Thank you so much to the team there, you saved our night 👏👏
