I grossly misunderestimated the time left before my train arrived and the barista made my chai latte at a speed that should be considered superhuman. I made my train AND it still tasted delicious AND she was so, so nice about it. Absolutely star quality service.

Absolute best coffee in Herne Hill and South London! Lovely atmosphere and very friendly staff. Such a great selection of take-home beans. Love the seats outside. All the pastries I’ve tried are also really good, especially the banana bread.

I travel all over London, visiting many coffee shops every week, and have done for the past 15 years. And this coffee shop is the friendliest in London, best customer service, always greeted with a smile and of course the coffee tastes amazing!

P&W is the coffee spot for coffee nerds in the know, with friendly staff & lovely atmos. Gorgeous mocha and cold brew when you fancy flying off piste too. Don't bother going anywhere else!

Perks & White is not just my favourite coffee in Herne Hill, but in London. The quality of coffee is consistently good in every single cup! The baristas are friendly and welcoming and just make a banging cup of coffee!! A must visit every morning.

Great coffee shop, perfect to work from with all the plugs and tables! Nice atmosphere with the arches, there is even a screen that shows departures! The cafe offers a good selection of pastries and even a vegan sandwich! I had their matcha latte, which is the best I've had in a while! Quality unsweetened matcha properly blended with the milk and no aftertaste! Can only recommend to swing by whilst waiting for your train!

Went for a coffee on a cold January day. Lovely decor and friendly staff. I wanted almond milk coffee as I have an allergy to dairy. Have a free croissant. Will visit again when next have to go to Kings hospital

Great coffee. Had a bit of a bad experience there today though. Got passed wrong coffee and had a sip of it. Then got quite rude comment from manager ( possibly) ‘She’s taken the wrong one’, seemingly annoyed at me. Then said ‘you’ll just have to drink it now’. I should have said something at the time but I was a bit surprised to be spoken to like that. It’s nice to be nice! I don’t think I deserved that really. I left feeling really embarrassed.

Quality coffee and friendly, knowledgeable baristas. Dog friendly! If you buy a bag of coffee beans, your drink is free! Some good cakes and snacks, including vegan and GF options. Super convenient inside the train station.

It was one of the best coffee places in London for sure!! The Columbian staff Jorge and the Korean lady Both were super knowledgeable and professional!! Very helpful and understanding when I couldn’t make up my mind about what to order. Absolutely enjoyed coffee and cake at this place. Will visit this cafe soon!

Perfect flat white and iced latte. Also: the cakes are REALLY good. Staff is super friendly and make you feel welcome plus they actually know a LOT about the coffee they're selling which is extra nice.

I went to the small pop up on the platform at Herne Hill. The person behind was more interested in chatting to their friends about yoga then making me feel any sort of welcome. I got a "hi" and " here you go" The hot chocolate was vile. I couldn't finish it. The only reason it's not a 1 star is because I don't think they went out of their way to be rude, they just clearly weren't in the mood to serve today.

I was on my way to a dear friend funeral my destination is Hearn Hill i was early exiting the station i decided to have a coffee ☕and there was Perks & White and the staff was young people it was a good experience they were very polite and sociable i would visit there again when ever i am in the area. ( Extremely Clean )

Leagues ahead of you average train station coffee depot. This place brims with heart & soul, from the expertly brewed beverages with all the fancy milk-alternative options, great baked goods (particularly Nell's scrambled eggs biscuits), and cool refreshing beverages. Friendly staff and an outdoor stall during Market Sundays. Only complaint - wish they stayed open later than 2pm!

Live in Australia, but visit friends in Herne Hill every year, always look forward to being so close to this little gem. Always great coffee, and an great location in the station. Cant wait till the world allows me to visit again!

It's such a shame - on a lively Sunday during market time this was a favourite of mine, but recently the service has just gone downhill. Like other reviewers I feel that when it's as quiet as it is "service with a smile" isn't that hard to achieve. Instead it seems to be coffee with a begrudging grunt. Decent coffee if you don't care whether your server bothers to smile or interact in a friendly way.

Coffee is fine, ambiance is more or less fine, if a touch plain, but the staff (and this echoes other reviews here of late) are absolutely not friendly. I'd understand a curmudgeonly attitude if it were manic, but it was a chill afternoon...so kind of confused to be honest. There are better cafes in South London quite honestly.

This is the best coffe in Herne Hill, no question about it. Everyone I taste the creamy cappuccino I feel I am in Italy! Kudos to then!

The coffee that comes out of here transcends coffee. It is the best cup of coffee I've had in my life. Hats off

small coffee shop but a good choice of beans, two espressos always on, one perks and white (brasil) and one assembly rotating. Two origins of filters coffee also available. Service is fast and coffee taste clean.

One star because of the seemingly continual decline in service and quality here. They used to be great, now I'm either greeted by someone who doesn't say a word to me, or is so full of themselves that they make your apparent inferiority blatantly clear. Pretty disappointing, manners and general friendliness doesn't cost anything.

Inside the station but a really nice cafe. Warm service, reasonably priced and a cool setup under one of the arches.

5 stars for the coffee, but unfortunately at best three stars for the service. The guy who served me the coffee was very unfriendly and looked like it was the last place on the planet that he wanted to be.

Coffee as good as ever, but Disappointed as they seem to have changed their sandwiches recently. A small drop in price for a massive drop in quality of ingredients. the white bread is inedible. please bring back the lovely sourdough you used to use. Thanks!

I've bought a cup of coffee here everyday for 2 years (latte and a sugar pls). Love their new home in the station, fantastic staff, cracking music selection and dangerously delicious banana bread!

Nice upgrade of the classic Café-in-a-station. Luminous and spacious for a quick break during your commute. A big plus is the fast service. The americano I took was a nice one, strong, with a consistent flavour that stays in your tongue. Ah! At the right temperature! A good sign the guys know what they are doing
