Peppe's in Islington

Atrocious customer service with no fixed price policy. I've been here a few times and each time I get charged an extortionate amount whenever I pay using contactless. Untrustworthy

El servicio fue muy atento pero me han cobrado demasiado. Pagué 8 por un escalope de pollo y un poco de brócoli y coliflor para llevar. Incluso le pedí una pequeña porción porque no soy un gran comensal. No me sentía bien, así que no quería discutir. Acabamos de izquierda Peppe Después desayunando; en el pasado hemos sido asiduos, no ahora. Cuando llegamos estaba bastante concurrido, con cuatro mesas vacías con platos sin recoger. Me cambiaron algunos platos para que nuestra mesa de clara. Fuimos al mostrador donde el personal eran todos charlando juntos. . . Irónicamente sobre el mostrador de servicio es un cartel que dice "servicio con una sonrisa", que no sea testigo de esta. Nuestra orden fue tomada por una joven, quien no podría importar menos. Esperamos 45 minutos para nuestro desayuno, hay ahora sólo 4 mesas completas que su comida. La mía estaba equivocado, no había disculpa, nada, la camarera moody incluso dejado de tener una conversación en el camino de vuelta a la cocina. . . Entonces nuestros desayunos salieron juntos, la mía era realmente encantadora de salchichas y bacon sandwich con pan fresco. I work around the area and always pass by and thes place has people in it. I tried before and I didn't like it, but after a couple of years a gave them a new chance and still the same. £7.50 for a big portion of pasta warmed in the microwave. You can pick from some options and mix 2, but the food is not nice, overcooked pasta with very basic sauces. You can get a pasta from Waitrose for £2.50 better than this. I will avoid this place in the future.

I work near here and am always in this place for lunch. The pasta is easy to get hooked on - great value at £5.50 as the portions they give you are big! The service is always quick and food very tasty.

Peppe's do a great selection of pasta dishes ready to go. Around £5 and you get a big portion, you can even do half and half for the same price. They heat it up for you and there's seating if you want to eat in. No frills but great value for money. I recommend the mixed meat pasta.

We stopped here for a quick lunch as it didn't look expensive. The sandwich I had was just cheap sliced bread with sliced cheese! They rally could be more imaginative with it or make it better quality! The chips and omelette were very good though. The toilets were pretty grim and the steps down to them were none to safe with no hand rail! The seating arrangement is very cramped but this is due to the limited space. The place does seem very popular but I'm not sure if pop in again.

Great place for lunch. Pasta, paninis jacket pots, salads etc. Great value and very nice. Would recommend.

I come here most Fridays for breakfast with a work colleagues. We have tried most of the other breakfast cafes within a one mile radius, but this is consistently the best. I especially like the cappuccino here and would alsorecommend the smoked salmon and scrambled egg.

After getting a visa from the Russian visa application centre nearby we just wanted a snack before going back to the railway station. We saw peppe's the sandwich shop. My father in law and myself went into the restaurant and discovered they did fairly cheap meals so we took a chance. We had an omelet with chips and salad at a very reasonable £5. It was actually very nice. Perfectly cooked omelette with fresh salad and some hot and tasty chips we thought it was very good value for money. Definitely not a mistake and was quite impressed although I would not say it's the Ritz. I did ask to go to the loo and as I'm disabled I was disappointed to find that it was down a very tight staircase into the basement however that is my only criticism.

I used to work near here and came here for lunch almost everyday. They make killer chicken pesto salad with extra large portion and can customise the veg for you, e.g I always have mine with avocado and without onions. The price is very reasonable and there's always a queue around lunch time. I went there tons of times during pregnancy and then returned to visit them once with my newborn, and they gave me a free chicken pesto salad. How nice of them. The owner is a very friendly Italian man and the staff are mostly his family. A nice little place for authentic Italian flavour. Highly recommended!

Very good, fair prices but should do some meal deals on sandwiches and use gloves when making them. Have eaten a few times and have been tasty.
