I only every ate from Mr Wongs, but for the last few months I have changed to Peking after my partner convinced me as he had been eating there for years. We ordered cantonese style spicy chicken with no veg, we got back home to open it and it was full of veg which makes the crispy chicken soggy, so i ALWAYS have no veg. We called up as we a regulars who never complain to inform her of the mistake they made and she responded "we will do next time" and hung up.. i wasnt happy, i rang back up and just ordered another batch with no veg, giving her to opportunity to realise WE DONT WANT TO EAT THIS. But she charged us for another batch instead of just replacing.. well, back to mr Wongs i go from now on. Very disapointed, their mistake, they never fixed it or even apologised.

Curry sauce was an odd colour, no flavour just spicy and all you could taste was egg in the rice (asked for just fried rice) which looked like it hadn’t been cooked properly. Worst Chinese I have ever tasted

First and last time. Avoid under all circumstances. Disgusting. Curry odd colour and tasteless. Chips looked as if fat needed changing. Will be reporting to food hygiene.

We have used this takeaway consistently for a number of years and wouldn’t use any other. You can tell it’s freshly cooked. I’m particular the chicken is moist and delicious. The family that run it is lovely and remember what we like. Highly recommended

i have lived in catshill all my life ( now 44 ) and have used peking since i was a teenager , i like the couple who run the take away very much , helpfull , friendly and allways a warm welcome BUT ! the food has consistently gone down hill to the point of me writing this review , what the served me the other night they should be ashamed and if it wasn't for the fact that i do like the couple i would of had no hesitation in reporting them ! the chips were a dark grey from the dirty fat that they had obvisouly been fried in and the spare ribs was not cooked still raw ! i was extremely angry but refrained from going back to the takeaway because as i say i do like the couple , i feel that if there heart is no longer in the buisness then they should sell up and call it a day !

Peking is run by a lovely couple and always friendly. Great food cooked fresh with very little waiting time. I have an unusual order sometimes but it is never an issue for them. Highly recommend

If I could give this place 0 stars I would. We normally order from Mr Wong’s next door, which is exceptional. Unfortunately Mr Wongs is closed on a Monday, so we decided to order from Peking. Firstly, they don’t accept payments by credit/debit card, which to me is very strange in this day and age. But most importantly the food is vile. I’m actually outraged at the quality of “food” I received this evening. In fact I wouldn’t even call what I was served “food” as it was barely recognisable and most definitely not edible. Crispy duck and pancakes- deep fried breast dripping in fat. Plum sauce- I can only describe as gravy with a thick layer of grease. Only enough cucumber and spring onion for 1 pancake. Sweet and sour chicken balls- not much bigger than the size of a grape. Sweet and sour sauce- tasted bland, nothing like what you’d expect. Chips- dripping in grease. We ordered more but didn’t even bother to open the cartons. Everything was cold, but that’s probably because my Husband drove down to get it expecting to be able to pay on card, then had to return home to get some cash and then return back again to pick up the “food”. Shouldn’t have bothered going back at all. I did take the food back and I did try to complain and explain what was wrong, but the woman just kept speaking over me saying “ok, ok, ok”. I did receive a full refund, but no apology or even the courtesy of being listened to. Avoid Peking like the plague. If you fancy a Chinese takeaway in Catshill make sure Mr Wong’s is open.

Been going here a couple of times a month for the last 25 years. English Chinese it is not! The food has always been consistent and consistently good.

We used to eat here many years ago and then we stopped because of a bad meal. nothing has changed we ordered Chicken curry egg fried rice, chicken Chowmein and pancake roll. The curry was red and tasteless, looked nothing like a Chinese curry, egg fried rice had no egg, Chowmein was greasy and the spring roll was dripping in grease. I should of driven to Bromsgrove as Mr Wongs where normally eat was closed, We will definitely never eat here again, save your money and go to the chip shop! The food is in the bin! I had to give 1 star.

Having read the previous reviews we were looking forward to trying this take-away. In fact I double checked it on street view in case I'd gone to the wrong one( there are 2 in that stretch of shops) We had to throw the duck out as is was fatty. For the rest of the meal only a few bites were taken as it was so greasy and NOT good. On a positive the lady who took our order was friendly. Sorry I wouldn't go back.

Beijing tiene todo muy bien, así que estoy staggerred para ver sólo tarifas 72 nd en Bromsgrove. La comida está recién preparada, de excelente calidad y a un precio muy razonable. He estado probando sus habilidades durante muchos años y siempre he tenido buena comida y servicio amable. Si hay alguna variación en sus platos estándar que prefiere entonces que hará todo lo posible por complacerte, y todo con una sonrisa!

The food quality was okay. Good compared to most takeaways, but not good for a restaurant. The service wasn’t great, and the restaurant itself isn’t a great place to spend any time - with no atmosphere. I think we’ll consider using this as a takeaway, but won’t considering dining there again.
