Pachamama East in Hackney

Stumbled across this restaurant one Saturday afternoon and what a find!! It has a lovely atmosphere with friendly staff who offered us a table, despite not having a booking, and did not rush us a long (which happens a lot in London these days). Food went beyond our expectations, Chinese/peruvian sharing plates such as caramelized aubergine, crab wontons and sweet and spicy chicken. A lovely find which I will be recommending far and wide.

Just wow! We couldn't have picked a better place to celebrate our daughter's 21st birthday with family and friends. We were given the private dining room off the kitchen and it felt as if we were having a relaxing evening at home but with the most delicious food being served to us. We had a combination of all the tasting menus and the dishes were so tasty, interesting and fresh and there was plenty to go around. Our waitress was wonderful - I think it was her first week and she did a great job putting up with our noisy rabble and dealing with all our allergen requests. The Pisco Sours were fantastic too, and I loved the fact that there was no time limit on how long we had the table for so we were able to enjoy a full evening. I cannot recommend this place highly enough and will definitely be back.

Go for the tasting menu! You won't regret it. My favourite was the tuna cevice but that was a hard choice as every dish was exciting and bursting with interesting flavours. The non-alcoholic cocktail with purple corn was delicious. It's a bit similar to sorrel juice typical in the Caribbean.

Enjoyable food but, even for London prices, this felt outrageously expensive for what was on offer. A jaw dropping bills

I choose this restaurant because of their nice photos on the website and also the good reviews. It was the best Peruvian food I ever had. We ordered lots of food to share and had the chicharrones, miso aubergines, chicken, miso glazed salmon, Peruvian rice and ceviche. All the food was sensational, prepared to perfection. We completed the lunch with more Pisco sour and burnt cheesecake. The atmosphere was nice and classy, the food absolutely delicious! Chicarrones

Estaba haciendo un viaje por trabajo a Londres cuando visité este lugar. Me lo había recomendado una clienta con la que trabajé, así que decidí probarlo. Además de un fantástico ambiente y muy buena comida, cabe halagar el servicio recibido por un paisano español llamado Xoel que trabaja allí como camarero. No solo me aconsejó probar los excelentes platos de berenjena y ceviche de lubina que tienen aquí, también tuvo la amabilidad de explicarme el proceso y la diferentes tipos de de pisco, preparándome un pisco sour en la coctelera; siendo este muy diferente de los que se hacen en batidora. Fascinante. La experiencia de este local ha sido una inesperada sorpresa, es toda una joya oculta de Londres que recomiendo a todo el mundo. Hasta la próxima!

I visited this place a few days ago, while I was going out with a friends' group on holidays for dinner, since it was recomended by a friend of ours. It's a very nice place, very cozy and with a lot of charm! ^^ The start of the show was, surprisingly, the service; a friendly and helpful bartender called Xoel to be precise. He suggested us that the best option was the tasting menu on the bar, and he was right. It was indeed exceptional, the eggplant was wonderful. I can't wait until I have the chance to come again!

My second visit to Pachamama did not disappoint. It made me want to move to London only because of this restaurant. I am seriously considering leaving my whole life behind just to be able to eat there once a week. It's been MONTHS and I still think about that aubergine... it's making me sad not being there right now. I just ate, but I would be able to make some more room for that aubergine. That ceviche. That lamb. That everything. I close my eyes and I still can feel the flavours, the textures, the smell... I have to stop, or I'll cry. If someone ever reads this, stop hesitating, stop scrolling, stop wondering where to eat; you've found the right place, just book a table and GO.

My first visit to Pachamamma and I was well and truly impressed. We opted for small plates however its good to see the portion sizes are really good and the food was amazing. The service was also great and the venue is very well presented. Overall it was a great experience and i'd highly recommend this place.

Amazing food and service. Went for my birthday and everything was delicious, special shoutout for the Pork Belly Chicharrone - maybe the best dish we've ever had. Also gave us a free dessert with a candle and card for my birthday, lovely touch. We will be back.

We had visited Pachamama at Marylebone couple of years ago and decided to celebrate wifey’s birthday at their outlet at Shoreditch. They serve Peruvian Chinese food and the lunch set menu was superb. There were veg and vegan options too. The pork belly chicharrones, sweet spicy chicken and caramelised aubergines were just out of the world. The service was excellent too with a nice card and candle for the birthday. Highly recommended.

We loved this meal! Months later, we are still talking about how we loved every single dish we had here. When you go out to dinner, do you sometimes talk after about which dish was the best? Well, here, everything was our favorite. The sichuan fried chicken, grilled miso salmon, grilled greens, sprouting broccoli, sweet and spicy chicken, cheung fun and the char siu. One dish after another was filled with piping hot items that had a unique combination of flavors that we had never experienced. A wonderful combination of Peruvian and Asian flavors. Our kids and we highly recommend this place. We found it because some local friends recommended it, and we understand why now.

Having dined at this restaurant before and really enjoyed it, we thought we’d go here for lunch. We ordered the set tasting menu which we had previously had. The set menu has two ceviche courses, tuna and sea bass. My wife and I like tuna tartare but find it too much to have two ceviche dishes on one menu. The last time we were the we asked to change the sea bass dish which was done without hesitation and we were offered several alternatives, having eaten in a lot of restaurants over the years it has never been a problem to change a dish and shows good customer service. When we asked this time if we could swap the sea bass the waiter, who was very good, said he would ask. Upon his return he said the Manager had said no and that it was a set menu and that’s how it comes! We just s went with the flow however couldn’t eat both ceviche dishes. I find this really poor service as the hospitality industry is tough enough in the current climate, so I find it extremely bizarre that providing a simple act can make the difference to returning or not.

If I get to heaven, and if they are not serving Pachamama's caramelised aubergine, I'll leave. For me that was the high spot of a well-constructed, well-balalnced and exciting tasting menu. Excellent cooking and very good service. A real delight.

Super restaurant.Sans conteste le meilleur de la région. Plats gourmands,copieux et le dessert ne dénote pas. Agréable ambiance, belle terrasse. Un plus grand parking gratuit. Personnel compétent et avenant. J'ai toujours grand plaisir à y retourner manger (15 fois depuis l'ouverture).

The idea of having a Peruvian/Chinese fusion was intriguing to us, so we vosited Pachamama East and was not disappointed! We were spoilt for choice and could not decide what we wanted (we could have ordered the whole menu if we could because it all sounded delicious) so the waiter suggested having the tasting menu. It was delicious and just the right amount of food for us both. We would definitely recommend a meal here

Love the menu, all of it. All dishes fairly small but filling. I did however find most of our choices very sauced and rich, would have liked something a bit lighter and fresher, maybe even a bread to soak up some of the lovely sauces and juices. Great choices though as suits all main dietary, one of us was Vegan. Good service and atmosphere. Would happily come back and try more and different dishes. FYI, we tried prawn toast, mushroom ceviche, Cheung fun, grilled greens, tuna tartare and BBQ chicken thigh.
