Oriental Express in Hammersmith and Fulham

Don’t know why so many negative reviews. Had Crispy Chilly Beef & House Fried Rice, which was solid. They only take cash & when the owner notices that I didn’t have any on me & the ATM outside was broken, he told me he’ll cook for me anyways, & I can pay him back tomorrow. I thought that was really nice of him.

Terrible food! Terrible service 49 min late

Just binned the Chinese and ordered a Papa Johns #EnoughSaid Truely terrible. Chicken and Sweetcorn soup was a tin of Jolly Green Giant immersed in what can only be described as someone who hasn’t drunk water for a month trying to have a wee! Prawn crackers were delivered in a Tesco’s freeze bag.

I had an unbelievably poor service from this takeaway. After one hour and ten minutes of waiting , I rang up to ask where the order was and the expected delay. They did not care at all about the lateness, said you cancel if you like and then put the phone down. I rang back as I was quite shocked and said I had lived in the area for 15 years and had never been treated this way. The answer from the owner (Mr King who also refused to give his name) said that they have plenty of customers and he did not care at all. So in summary, poor customer service, arrogant and frankly a business that everyone should avoid.

Read the other reviews, I wish I had... Terrible, just awful. Food - very poor quality, cold, totally inedible. I applied patience to the late delivery but the food was the worst I have ever tasted.

We received cold food after two hours of shouting on the phone. The staff are extremely rude and aggressive and lie about the progress of your order. They swear at their customers, disguise untrained drivers by blaming customers for inserting wrong addresses, don’t give an option for refunds, are unable to process online orders but still take your money and block your calls if you call them multiple times to check on your order. The food was cold and no way worth the wait. Strongly recommend you never order from here - waste of time energy and money. It’s the worst Chinese delivery in London. It deserves NO rating and NO stars.

Waited 1 hour for delivery, food was inedible, we threw it away. Over salted, veg nearly raw, very dodgy tasting coconut soup. The 'tempura' was definitely deep fried and greasy. Very, very disappointed.

3 hours for m y order to be delivered Then they only bring rice and crackers and FORGET THE MAIN CRISPY CHICKEN BALLS COME BACK 30 MINS LATER WITH SOGGY STONE COLD CHICKEN BALLS I SEND THE WHOLE ORDER BACK And then they tell me I have to contact just eat for a refund . Terrible service 3 hour delivery forget the main course then send out sooty stone cold chicken balls that were sitting on the counter .whilst the first delivery took place never again !!!!

poor showing. 45 minutes late and the resteraunt wouldn’t answer the phone when trying to enquire as the whereabouts of the food. the food was average but to be expected for the prices.

I made an order. Now everything came to my home. I call to inform about it, they told me that food was coming. After 5 HOURS and three calls telling me that the delivery guy was on his way, the food is not here. Very dissapointing

no shrimps at all in the shrimp noodles, just egg and pork meat. also hardly any squid in the fried squid, full of corn flour balls. not worth the price I paid for. will not use this restaurant again

Food was almost THREE, yes THREE hours late. On top of this, they didnt even bother to inform or update me on this, instead I had to ring them to get updates on the order. Absolutely disgusting customer service. Fortunately, when the food finally did arrive, it was pretty good, however will NOT be ordering from this place again, as they hardly offered any form of apology and only 10% off the bill after a two hour and 45 minute wait. Appalling.

The food received was not what I ordered. The curry tofu was totally forgotten. I called to complain and initially they told me they would send the food out immediately. Then their delivery driver called me to tell me he was going home and wasn't going to come back out. I called the restaurant back and they refused to do anything about it. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!!!

second time I have ordered and second time it was 15minutes late. also never received free prawn crackers as advertised. pan fried dumplings where squashed/congealed all together in a big lump. butterfly prawns are over fried and empty. tiny prawns mainly just breadcrumbs. big disappointment especially as it took 1hour 15mins to deliver on a Sunday evening. won't order from here again

My food still hasn't arrived and I ordered it over an hour ago.

the food took 2 and half hours to get to me, an hour later I what they said, the restaurant did apologise and sent me hot fresh food asap. the food itself was amazing and great quality! they did however forget my prawn crackers but after 2.5 hours I was just happy to have my dinner

absolutly ridiculous: the food was supposed to be delivered at 21:25 and we are still waiting for it (22:20)! called the restaurant twice and the guy didn't care... didn't even apologise. i wish i could rate the food but i don't have it! thanks for nothing

Awful service. 1 hour and 40 mins for takeaway which is 10 Minutes walk from my house is ridiculous. The food is good but service is poor. I rang up asking where my order was and they hung up on me after barely apologising.

Shocking service! They left out HALF of our order after taking TWO HOURS to delivery! When we called to complain they said we'd have to wait another HOUR for the rest of our order and their only apology was one can of coke, to split between the 4 of us. Saddest part was the food was actually decent but they lacked common sense and any sort of customer service :(

I'd have rated this place no stars if I could. This is the worst takeaway I have ever ordered from. I never usually complain about anything but feel compelled to warn others about this place! Sent me sweet and sour pork instead of sweet and sour sauce (second or third time I've had an incorrect order - should have known not to reorder from here). I asked for a replacement and was later accused of not sending enough dishes back. Rude incompetent owner who instead of apologising told me not to order again! Food was not good either. Order anywhere else!

I'd avoid this restaurant in future - forgot one dish, no sauce, cucumber or spring onion for the duck, 1 single bit of shrimp in the special fried rice. Late delivery, cold and restaurant refused to accept they'd missed part of the order.

I ordered my takeaway from here due to Seven Seas Munster Road being closed for the Easter period an excellent take away service. When I called their card machine was broken, after I had already placed my order. I asked for the kung pow chicken..the operator shouted to the staff "what's a kung pow chicken!?...can you make it?" It arrived 45 minutes later, I paid cash on arrival and my family and myself felt let down by the meal and this is why it's our back up Chinese take away if my first choice is closed. The beef was very tuff and rice was all congealed...the kung pow was in a very thin tasteless sauce compared to what we are used to by high standards and would of appeared to be cooked by not of the same standards we would personally expect.

Despite calling twice and telling the takeaway that we wanted amendments to the order (we couldn't eat some ingredients), and then ordering online with a note to clarify this, 2/3rds of our order was wrong ruining the meal. Poor service and poor quality food. Very disappointing.

The food was nice. They delayed my order by 10 mins at point of sale and then it was a further 15 minutes late. The man on the phone was very helpful when I rang though but looking through the reviews late delivery seems to be a theme with this restaurant. I probably won't try them again.

The food really wansnt great. I ordered crispy shredded beef and it was soggy with little flavour.

Good food. Not the best Thai or Chinese cuisine I've had but is good value for money. Staff could be more pleasant to their customers.

The service is appalling the staff are rude and don't seem to care. The manager couldn't even be bothered to come to the phone! Nearly two hours before my food was delivered in full and it was only lukewarm!

Ordered the party platter which included crispy wonton but there were none, I also specified a pot of satay sauce which they also forgot which ruined the whole meal for me as without the sauce I didn't want any of it.very disappointing will not be ordering from here again

Ordered my two favorite dishes (vegetable singapore noodles and veg thai green curry) and they were absolutely prefect which shocked me as it was considerably cheaper than other take aways. Will defo be using again :)

It took 2hours and 45minutes to get our meal, they said the driver was stuck in traffic but we live 5mins driving distance from the restaurant! Had to call up 5times to get updates. Finally received the food which arrived cold, the order was wrong (we ordered beef but got chicken). No compensation was offered. Would never use just eat or go to this restaurant again

Usually this place is on point and I am extremely ststisfied however my order was half an hour late and then given the wrong sauce with my starter it should of been plum sauce instead was sweet chilli I put this down to a one off and hope my next order will be back to being on point.

Hi, I am very dissappointed, this order has never arrived. After contacting just-eat, I contacted the restaurant and was told to pick up my order myself. I contacted Just-eat since I expected there would be an issue with the phone number and driver not reaching the apartment. I was told the restaurant would call but this did not happen. I would appreciate a refund as soon as possible. Best, Jonathan

Our favourite of its Kind in the area. We order atleast once a week. The curries are our fave

Starters were good. Main course did not match website description and was therefore disappointing, sauce was very thin and vegetables did not match description.

Much more betteer than my last order un itsu that i asked for compensación and did not receive any reply

Absolutely disgraceful, no delivery after 1.5 hour even though deliver was promised within 45 mins. Staff was rude when we called to inquire. It's valentines night, we have friends over and it's so bad to misinform and lie to the customers. They clearly knew it wasn't going to be on time as they said they were missing some drivers.

The delivery took 40 minutes longer than it should have, and they forgot a dish. But having said that, the food was great.

Disgusting, lukewarm, took an hour and a half to arrive. Barely even caught the driver as I got to the door, he was very impatient and was almost back in his car.

Worst experience ever. Ordered at 8pm and food did not arrive, and rang them at 9.30pm and was given a lecture by the chinese owner. He pushed the blame saying that the order was delivered and finally said he would send a new order, which never came. It is now 12am. will not return. AVOID

It was an hour late. I did ask for some soy sauce but didn't get it. The prawn toast didn't come with sauce either. But I've never had a problem with Oriental Express before. So all is forgiven.

I've been using this takeaway for years. It's consistently good food and at a good price. Singapore noodles are a favourite. Delivery is quick and I've not had any customer service problems such as those listed below.

Squid was a little overlooked, got a regular coke instead of diet. Other dishes were pretty good though. Delivery super fast.
