Namak Restaurant in Redbridge

We visited this restaurant for dinner and pre booked . The place was very busy but we were promptly seated . The staff were friendly and attentive. The food was fresh and well presented . This restaurant compares well with other restaurants as far as the quality of food is concerned. The only reason I have given 4 stars is because of the portions served . The food although tasty came in very small portions . I would recommend this restaurant if you are after authentic Indian food

Booked at weekend to sample their Breakfast menu- we all had a different Thali and all 3 were excellent. Will be visiting again but for their evening menu. Would highly recommend and they gave us complimentary poppadoms and 3 amazing accompaniments - that were home made.

Nice decor and ambience. Starters were good, mains were ok but did not feel authentic and full of flavour. Maybe could be the dishes we chose.

Beautiful meal, high quality and very delicious. Went for husband's birthday and they gave us a lovely dessert and 2 drinks to celebrate which was very much appreciated.

Quality ingredients makes this an above average Indian restaurant. Friendly attentive service in a relaxed atmosphere and reasonably priced.

I booked a birthday treat for my husband. The food and service were faultless, so delicious! And even though I didn’t tell the restaurant it was a birthday meal, they must have been listening to see how they could give us the best experience. After our desserts were served they came out with a brownie with a candle and happy birthday written on the plate in fruit coulis. Such a thoughtful touch. I cannot praise the evening highly enough. We will definitely be returning.

We ordered a takeaway meal which I collected. The food was all out of this world delicious, and ready to collect bang on time. We will definitely be visiting soon to dine in!

We had a very enjoyable meal here last night. It’s an Indian but a cut above the standard of most Indians. First of all, the food. Dishes on the menu that surprise – starters include Chilli Scallops and the two we had Corn Ribs and Chowpaty Chat – both very tasty. Spicing is at the right level and the ingredients fresh and of top quality. A good choice of mains including a good vegetarian choice. Breads and sides are of the highest quality and include Applewood cheese Nan. Drinks are fine too. Including an extensive cocktail menu, we had an excellent Espresso Martini. Service is pitched just at the right level. There when needed and friendly and helpful. Recommend.

When we lived locally, we were regulars at its predecessor Grand Trunk Road. On a trip back to visit old friends, we agreed to give the new place ago. Frankly, there's little difference to be noted from GTR. Nothing's been changed inside, and much of the menu has been carried over (I seem to recall there being more starters) - not surprising given the chef is the same as before. The other two went off the set menu (midweek) and I went a la carte. Suffice to say, everything was great. My chicken shish was on another level than most, and the prawn curry had a sour/sharp element despite being rich, with subtle spicing. Fabulous! Service was friendly and very helpful. We were, however, the only diners on a Weds evening. This is a real shame. Truth is - it's not a great spot and never has been. GTR got a reputation and people came. They absolutely should patronise the new venture, as it's still complete class. South Woodfordonians would be crazy to lose this local gem.

Visited for the first time last night for a quick dinner. Greeted by a friendly and courteous gentleman. Food was really lovely and we all thoroughly enjoyed it - even my elderly mum who is very particular about Indian food eaten outside home. Totally recommend.

Amazing food. Brilliant flavours and scintillating taste. Lamb chops are out of the world and one of the best Daal makhani. Grilled prawns were awesome with an amazing red pepper dip. Highly recommend. Chef Iqbal ‘s knowledge of flavours and culinary skills are clearly reflected in every dish I tried.

Top quality food & produce, executed beautifully and more reasonably priced than its predecessor. Great service in a comfortable atmosphere and definitely worth a visit, it’s a cut above the rest! We look forward to visiting again soon, thank you ☺️

One of the best Indian food I had after ages. We went in group so had the opportunity to try various starters annd mains and also got added few chefs recommendations on-the-house which were amazing. Normally when we discuss about food reviews we ask what was the best, but first time we asked what was least favourite, but there was none. We like each and every item. Lamb items were mouthwatering but chicken and veg were equally good. The portions were good enough. The bread remained softer, unlike other places where they get hard chewy quickly. The size were big enough. The service was great, even with such big order we got served very quickly and all items came together so no one had to wait. The staff were very polite. One of the best fine ambience restaurant with reasonable pricing. We didn’t regret the 1 hr drive after the experience. Hope they open branches closer to my home. Parking facilities just behind the block. Certainly would recommend.

Loved the food and ambience. The staff is really nice and friendly. Especially loved the cocktails, daal makhani and lamp chops. Their in house sauces are amazing.

A wonderful place for a great dining experience!! We were here for a birthday celebration with family and friends and were awed by the ambience, services, and delicious food. The crispy and subtle fingerchips came in first for the toddlers and kids but were relished to the last bit even by adults…we just couldn’t stop ourselves… Starting with a platter of veg starters, Chef Ahmed treated us with super soft stuffed aloo tikki, delicious achari paneer tikka, burst of flavours with chowpatty chat. He followed these with makai saag, Hyderabad masala baigan (aubergine), spicy tandoori batata, butter naans/laccha parathas, tadka dal, signature dal and basmati rice. We couldn’t ask for more!! For the non-vegs, the platter consisted of peshawari lamb chops, chicken tikka, and tandoori chicken. For the main course, we were offered butter chicken, lamb shank ka salan, signature lamb curry, lamb biryani, plain yogurt where we just couldn’t resist ourselves!! The best part of the entire experience was that the staff was so friendly, helpful and accommodating that they created dishes just for the little ones in no time with chicken malai tikka and chicken in coconut milk and cream base to suite their non-spicy palettes…hats off to the team!! The entire experience was just great with multiple mouth-watering dishes, and we could not tell which one was better than the other!! Definitely a place to go with family and friends!! Excellent food and service, a must try if you are in the area. Fine dining experience at its best. Presentation, taste and service was so good - cant wait to go again and explore it more.
