Naka Thai in Colchester

It took 2 hours to arrive which meant it arrived just before we were going to bed which wasn’t great and we’d gone past hungry at that point. Food itself was okay - but a little heavy on the oil making it quite greasy

Food dry and chewy. Some was cold.

Lovely and hot, really enjoying, will order from here again.

amazing food, little late but WORTH IT

the curry's were great, same with pad Thai, spring rolls and satay chicken. what let it down was the overcooked and burnt in areas on the lemon chicken and the vegetable tempura was soggy and greasy. unfortunately deliver ran late

Quick delivery, tasty food! Always great from Naka Thai.

Although we enjoyed the food, we had to wait an hour after the original time stated until the food was finally delivered. During our waiting time, the status of my order changed to 'delivered' although we had not received the food, so I had to call Naka Thai to enquire as I was concerned the order had been lost.

My meal was terrible, the tempuras were soggy and tasteless , the pork tough and not at all crispy, the noodles flat and life less. Only the sticky was ok. I paid £14 for a 40minute late delivery of sub standard food and will never shop here again

Chewy meat, the pork belly was awful, and the “weeping tiger” which has always been sirloin elsewhere was chewy, tasteless and full of fat!! Ironically the only Thai/Chinese restaurant I’ve ever had to pay for crackers (as big family and order) and they were the only thing that tasted authentic

First time ordering from Naka Thai and it certainly won’t be the last. Full of flavour and really well Cooked.

The BEST vegan Thai Green Curry I have ever tasted! And they always look at the note I left and make it just how I like it! I buy from here every couple weeks & don’t mind paying the £13 delivery charge as it’s unreal! 🤩🤩

Really lovely food, had it delivered to Harwich meaning it definitely could have been hotter but that’s nothing to do with the restaurant. Will definitely be planning an evening there with the Mrs the experience it in its full glory

The food was amazing. The weather was the reason for the delay in delivery- but we were aware of this as tge restaurant had phoned & told me. The driver was lovely as well, so this was not an issue at all. I am super happy with my dinner tonight.

first time ever having thai food, its great if you like some spice. the chia tea thing was surprisingly smooth and delicious. and the tapas option to try new things is highly recommended if you want to try new things.

Food was over an hour late with no explanation until 45 minutes after delivery time and when it arrived it was lukewarm.

Really disappointed today. Ordered at 7:30 with an estimated delivery of up to 45mins but in the end the order didn’t arrive until 9:40. I am used to it taking a while as we live quite far but this was ridiculous.

Seafood and vegetables weren’t fresh rather disappointing as we treated ourselves as it’s our wedding anniversary the rice had hardly any pineapple or red peppers as described just veg they also make their dishes way too hot on chilli Thai should be delicate!

Off to a great start with delivery being bang on time, but unfortunately chicken was so tough and over cooked on all dishes was completely inedible & therefore ruined entire meal.

Never disappoints, ordered set meal A for 2, there is enough food for 3 or 4 if you want a light meal. Always well packed and piping hot. Recommended!

2 hours late. Called twice and was given more promises and still never turned up. Food was cold and tasteless, carrots not cooked. Prawn toast soggy. Never had a worse Thai and I lived there for 2 months. Don’t waste your money

First time ordering from here. Although the food needed reheating in the microwave (which is understandable as you are located 20 mins from us) the pad Thai & the sharing platter was lovely! Unfortunately we did not eat the ribs as they had a mushy texture with a watered down honey flavour.

Horrendous service, £10.00 for delivery and the driver took over an hour to call me and admit he was lost. Food was good in the past but it’s not worth it, pick somewhere else. Unfortunately I had to leave 1 star…

Lovely Thai food but quite pricey

Very disappointing. Food was good but original order was obviously taken by a driver and kept for themselves as had to chase the restaurant. Probably won’t order from here again as restaurant unwilling to accept there was a issue and just stated traffic which was obviously untrue as just eat advised new driver had to be issued

Lovely order, our orders were slightly spicer then we thought they would be, but overall was a lovely meal!

Amazing food. Delivery on time. Won’t knock off any stars, but two items were missing. The prawn crackers weren’t there but were refunded. But also missing was the rice dish from the set meal. Would have been nice to have the complete order, but what we had was delicious.

Could not select lateness time but it 90 minutes late. Quite frankly the food was not good, noodles very little taste , squid chewy and soggy. Duck in noodle dish chewy and fatty. Will not be ordering again esp with a £14 delivery !!

Delivery was the earlier side of the allocated time, was great it was so quick. Great curries as always - the bag of Thai/prawn crackers is huge!

I occasionally order from here as it’s super nice and the only Thai that will deliver to me, however it’s always always late. I know they have a 40 minute drive from Colchester but it’s always an extra 20-40 minutes late. Not sure I will order from here again. Maybe change your deliver radius and not deliver so far?

The vegetables were needing to be cooked quite a bit longer, but overall the food was delicious and delivery was prompt.

Good quality was not the best and unfortunately it was very late.

Food was not like we have had in the past. When we lived in colchester we had the naka thai special all the time as our treat. We thought we’d have it today for our anniversary but nothing tasted great. The duck dish in particular was hard to stomach with a lot of duck fat and more sauce and rice noodles than duck. All dishes stodgy but maybe because of long delivery. Possibly went to many houses before coming to ours which is 30 mins from town anyway.

The food was Amazing! But unfortunately the delivery was late

Delivery arrived on time. We have ordered from here a few times and the food quality seems variable. This time in particular everything seemed very greasy and dripping in oil. Still tasted nice enough but made us all feel a bit sickly after eating.

The food was late and we had to call the restaurant, we asked for them to call not to wake our babies, driver knocked but the food was INCREDIBLE! The best take away we had ever had! Fresh tasty nine greesy AMAZING

To far from where we’re staying.

I ordered a lamb green curry.. the meat was flat like kebab and tiny… I had no decent veg in there at all and it was so watered down I didn’t eat it after the second mouth full & this cost me £12 also the egg fried rice tasted yuk £10 delivery? I usually get food from you with no problem… not happy and very disappointed as this was a treat to myself… £40 for a soup crackers rice and curry where only the soup and crackers were ok?

Need to write the dish name on the top of the boxes. Numbers do not relate to the “just eat” menu!

Order was dropped upon delivery - a mistake by the driver

Order was delayed twice. Then was still over half an hour late of the delayed time. Can’t fault the food once it arrived. Absolutely delicious.

Food was delicious but we were missing some items such as prawn crackers, and noodles, we also ordered a dish with noodles and we never received the noodles, delivery was late however I called the restaurant and they apologized for the wait.

Food is spectacular but I won't be ordering again as they charge £6.45 delivery and service charge. Way too expensive to bring to your door what is already high priced menu. Going to a restaurant is cheaper. Take away should be more affordable than that.

Food was a disappointment. Sloppy, mushy and didn’t taste fresh.

The food from here is fantastic. Always satisfying and always worth the wait (they come all the way from Colchester to long Melford for me!). A little bit expensive for eating in so it’s an occasional treat but one I always enjoy.

Great food and we appreciate they deliver a long way out of Colchester!
